This is the second video I've seen where they say Texas ran the ball good.. If under 60 yds rushing is good for Texas i don't know how they made it to the semis.. If My team can hold each opponent to 58 on the ground every week we'd be undefeated
It's well documented that both Texas and Oregon had more expensive rosters than Ohio State. Texas was the highest at $23M, Oregon was $22M, and the vaunted Ohio State got a discount and only paid $20M
Let me start off by saying that any criticism about the money OSU used for roster construction is ridiculous. That is the system we have in place, and it won’t be changing anytime soon. I do question their AD’s judgment in ever saying anything about it. Also, we really don’t know whether Texas or Oregon spent less or more, so I’m not sure where you are getting those figures. I do think it’s safe to assume that they were more than competitive (i.e., resources weren’t a hindrance to them getting the players they wanted). Tough loss for my Longhorns last night, but I tip my cap at your big players making big plays at big times. Best of luck and we’ll see you guys on 8/30 for what should be another great showdown.

Great video as always John. Quick note though, Texas paid more than OSU for their roster. OSU was at $20 million, both Texas and Oregon paid more for theirs.
That 2nd down play call was the dumbest play call in the history of college football. It was a Gift from the football gods for Ohio State. That defense is just to good to go side to side against. So dumb inside the five. My god tighten up the chin strap and go vertical. He had 3 more downs.
You said you didn’t know, so i will tell you. Texas spent more on their roster than OSU did. Oregon and Texas a spent the most 22-24m and then OSU was third at 20m. So all of this money talk is really pretty stupid, especially considering OSU beat the two two teams that spent more than they did.
Let’s be honest, no one knows how much each team paid. I think the criticism of OSU is ridiculous, but I think their AD should have probably kept his mouth shut.
As a die hard Ohio state and John middlekauf fan…. I absolutely love finally listening him say some positive things about Ryan day and the team over the last couple weeks 🥲🥲
All season on 3rd/4th and short they put arch in the game but on the goal line with the season on the line he doesnt get put in, ANDDDDD running a toss play towards the best run defending safety in the nation is insane
I have never been able to stomach Sarkisian. He was our OC with the Falcons for a while. He SUCKED. He cost us a playoff game in 2017 when we had 1st and goal from the 9 with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Devonta Freeman all in top form. Bullshit fades to the corner from the 9! Next year was much worse. Started 1-4 with a stacked offensive team.

48 year Texas fan here. I can't tell you how many times Texas has blown an opportunity with a toss sweep play right, toss sweep play left, Texas has lost some big games in the same fashion through years, lol.🤘
I totally agree about Ewers, he is not an NFL QB. Sark with bad play calling again cost his team a chance. Kudos to Ohio State, but I hope Notre Dame can pull the upset. Kinda doubt it though.
I know everyone wants to pile on Quinn, but he played okay tonight. I lay this loss at the feet of Sark man. That Goal Line play calling was not it. Running a toss in a condensed area vs. a fast flowing defense? Should’ve snuck it with Gunner Helm 3 times in a row. Pretty evenly matched teams. Crazy how all these matchups are coming down to 1/2 plays. Margin of error was so low. Congrats OSU!
Been saying it all season. Three things were probably going to keep Texas from winning the ship. 1. Sark's offense is a bit too finesse. Sometimes you need to just get back to football meat and potatoes. Run the ball up the gut, Qb sneak, something. 2. Quinn Ewers' style is to dink and dunk his way down the field because he is a bad deep-ball thrower so Texas can't utilize their WR talent to the maximum. 3. Quinn is a deer in the headlights when he doesn't have a clean pocket. The Texas D was definitely good enough to win a ship this year.

I really think ASU was the second best playoff team, and if they had Jordan Tyson, they blow out Texas, but that is hardly concensus opinion. The one sure fact is Ohio State is good. I am rooting for Notre Dame. They are a storied program and an underdog. Go Irish!
Buckeye fan knows how Texas fan feels. Day made a similar stupid play call against Georgia in CFP. . (Buckeyes driving down the field passing and QB scrambles. Georgia was completely off balance then Day calls for a stupid wide run that loses yards and keeps clock running. OSU is forced to attempt a long field goal for the win. Georgia advanced and won the championship game. ) . So glad Buckeyes came out on the positive side of one of these for once.

Credit to OSU. Let's be clear, Texas isn't less than OSU, that's crazy. This was a great game, but it came down to one big mistake, so let's give Texas the respect they deserve.
Anyone who gets mad at Sark for goal line stand gone bad needs to watch OSU’s other goal line stands, especially Penn State, to understand why he did it. But, I get Arch Manning run would have been a better call.
You cross-reference College with the NFL constantly so I will do that here. You got your shot in about Ohio State losing to Michigan, by 3 points mind you. Yet, you constantly talk about NFL division games, "Anything can happen." That's a quote from you. I believe you've called both of these teams as almost Pro at times over the past two seasons due to the amount of NFL players they produce. Why isn't it okay here? I'm not the typical Ohio State fan that gets all bent out of shape from losing to Michigan, that team up north, whatever. If anything, that loss served as a wakeup call for the bigger prize, the National Championship.
Sark makes the same calls I make playing CFB when I’m hammered at 2AM. Also, how is Ewers skill level as bipolar as it. He. One minute he’s a a First round pick, the next he’s on his way to NFL Europe.
Ewers has to be the most lifeless, lack of personality QB ive ever watched. Dude just looked lifeless out there, no emotion, just out there going through the motions in the biggest game of his life.
Texas roster is 22 million. Can't stand these people that talk about this stuff constantly and act like Ohio State has the only roster where guys are getting paid
OSU's defense gets the edge over ND's defense, and their offensive skill players are definitely better. The thing that could bite them would be dumb turnovers by Howard.
Ohio State had a lot of penalties that destroyed their momentum keeping their scoring down, otherwise woulda coulda shoulda would have been a lot higher score.
Actually Texas roster is Actually 22 Million, more the OSU. So there you have it. All this talk about the Buckeyes are paying for a Chip. If you're not paying these kids today: you get no major recruits at your school.
Howard and leonard are not nfl qbs, neither have a big arm and i dont see a natural feel for the pocket between either of those guys. They are great competitors though!
All major schools spent anywhere between 18 to 23 million dollars. So why is this guy so obsessed with Ohio State spending 20 million dollars? At least Ohio State spent most of that 20 mill on their existing players unlike some schools.
Ewers and I have two things in common. We both went to a college in Ohio, and neither of us are NFL QBs.
You win the internet today!
I appreciate Ewers and I believe Longhorn Nation will come to appreciate him in time. Think back to what Texas was 3+ years ago. Ewers was key to the progress Texas has made.

Anyone who gets mad at Sark for goal line stand gone bad needs to watch OSU’s other goal line stands, especially Penn State, to understand why he did it. But, I get Arch Manning run would have been a better call.
While I’m for paying college football players, their years eligibility needs more limited.
Sawyer will make a great Lion
Texas’ roster was more expensive than OSU’s
Ewers has to be the most lifeless, lack of personality QB ive ever watched. Dude just looked lifeless out there, no emotion, just out there going through the motions in the biggest game of his life.
They should of put arc in forever ago i rather have the future making mistakes than the past
When Colin retires you should take his spot on the herd.
If you swap QBs, the team with Ewers loses. Im a fan of neither team, but a huge football head and Ewers has 0 pocket presence. Looked shook.
Will howard and riley leonard are not even close to starting qbs in the nfl lol. Credit to both of them getting to the natty though.
Texas averaged like barely 2 yards per carry. I wouldn’t say they were running the ball well
Will Howard tripped over himself, threw a pick and looked like a mess. ND is gonna eat
I wonder if Quinn wishes he had remained a Buckeye? I’ m glad he didn’t.
Sec is 0-2 vs THE OHIO STATE this year.....What happened softies?
