Looking forward to the next trip that includes the A129 Pro. I'm very happy with my A129 Pro Duo with CPL filters but would like to learn more about settings to tweak before venturing out on a road trip. Even "general" concepts would be helpful for newbs like me. I often find that the footage is too bright, so I have turned down the brightness a notch, but when the sun goes down I find myself changing settings yet again; kind of a pain. Could you consider a video that talks about common settings to tweak for better footage?
Right on Broseph, Good job fixing the video. I forgot what I commented last time. Something about bringing 44mag bear spray when venturing off trail in the woods. Lol -Chuck
Was going to save for the 'top of the line' Blackvue but now after seeing this, Thinkware looks so much sharper. I would have thought 4k would be better. Maybe blackvue upscales? Are you sure you took the film protecting the blackvue lens off? 😂
Sounds like you have quite the trip planned! To prevent loop recording, I would definitely recommend as big of a memory card as possible. If you want crisp and colourful image quality, going with a camera with the new SONY Starvis 2 image sensors would be a good call. If you are looking for a budget front-only system the VIOFO A119 Mini 2 would be a good call, or if you're looking for something more high-end the Thinkware U3000. Either way, a 256GB SD card is recommended, and just being conscious of how much time you have before that fills up. We offer more precise numbers here: www.blackboxmycar.com/pages/sd-cards
The viewing angle set here is standard for what is recommended for dash cams, as having a small portion of the hood in the video is customary. Still, if preferred, you can definitely rotate the lens of the camera with all the models in this video so that the hood is completely out of the frame in the majority of vehicles.
Depends on the recording format, and quality of the camera! But in general, 512GB should be more than enough to record a full 16 hour trip. For more precise information, check out our page here: www.blackboxmycar.com/pages/sd-cards
Great video
I noticed I can easily read license plates on x1000 and it was sharper!
when dr900x looked kinda smooth and blurry !

Thanks for watching and for the feedback. We will try and put in some more hints and tips into future videos to help out newer users 😊
Why it says UHD-OFF for Blackvue DR900X? Isn't it in 4k mode?
UHD is for the front camera, and then the -OFF part just means that the rear camera isn't connected. A bit confusing I know!

I’ll be driving on the PCH and I need the best dash camera I can get and also I don’t know how much memory I need. Any advice?

You guys gonna do this for this year?
We didn't plan on it, but let us know if it's something you'd be interested in!
Still saving to get that viofo A129 pro 🥺
is it possible to tilt the front camera to avoid the car/truck hood?

do these record a continuous clip or small clips? whats the average length?
Dash cams record in small clips, anywhere from 1, 2, 5, 10-mins clips depending on what you set it (and depending on which dash cam you use).
@@blackboxmycar how do you get the clips into one long video? editor?
Is 512GB SD CARD is enough for 16 hours road trip? Thanks
