This is my all time FAVORITE Pink Floyd song. I want this song played at my funeral when I die. This is a song gives me chills, so magical. Makes me want to cry every time I hear it.
You are right with the setup. This was 1994!! They practically invented not only surround sound, but also a computerized Lightshow, which was unheard of before that. And actually something of this scale and of similar perfection has probably never been pulled off since during the last 30 years. The Pulse Tour was an act of a century and was so ahead of time that it is probably only comparable with the moon landings!
Also my favorite song from the Pulse concert. You can only fully appreciate it, when you have grown up. We reach the dizzy heights of that dreamed off world. Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us, to a glimpse of how green it was on the other side. The grass was greener, the taste was as sweeter…! Forever and ever! AMAZING!
Love Pulse, my favorite is "The great gig in the sky"it really showcases the back up singers voices, the blond back up singer is Sam Brown, she had a massive hit with a song called "Stop" you should check it out sometime
Great to see your appreciation for this!! I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd on this Pulse tour at The Alamodome in San Antonio in 1994. I had 18th row seats on the floor, and there were 47,000 fans in attendance. An experience of a lifetime.
Great to see young people also enjoy Pink Floyd, listening to this band since 1973, got my first album " The Dark Side Of The Moon" when I was in the Dutch army.
Bonjour, I love forever this song: i'ts very beautiful and human ... she makes me cry like an outlet... but since I recently lost my father, these are tears of mourning that this song makes me weep
Just listen for the build up! Absolutely amazing musically! You have to love a gong!😊 Bell strikes on the 2nd and 4th beat, quite unusual! Like Billy Joel’s drum beat on his song “ Downeaster Alexa”
THE ENDLESS RIVER. FOREVER AND EVER...😚
You must lesson -the girl in yellow dress- by David. Gilmour. You will be surprised how he's good whatever he do . My favorite musician of all time . New suscriber from France . Merci et a bientot !
For me Hendrix is the all time greatest but there is just something intangible about Gilmour playing the guitar. It's just magical, for me no one portrays emotion like he does
Now that you know the original and you also like Nightwish, you should check out their tribute from the "End of an Era"-DVD 🙂 These two versions belong together - they are similar and yet so different.
Please Derek, teste Jonny Halliday "tien an men bercy 92" in live, big performance, big voice, big power, big émotion. The best of Halliday. Incredible !!!😢
With Pink Floyd, often the concert version (or I should say one or more concert versions because they changed considerably with successive live tours) was as good or even better than the studio version. This is because they often threw in a variation or a bit extra in the concert. (Same goes for Dire Straits). High Hopes, specifically, the music video version (I think available on TH-cam) is good, but I think Gilmour's emotional solo on the lap steel in this (Pulse) is slightly better, and the magical switch back to acoustic guitar at the end is not in the music video.
All good and well, who does not like Pink Floyd? I think it's time you kick up a gear, let's get some real rock reactions. Autographs Turn up the the radio comes to mind, but then again it will only be done should I become a patrion member. Why is everything always about money? Can it not be done for the love of real music?
Super reaction! As a french guy, guitarist, i'm not amazed by Dave, switching from the classic guitar to the lap steel....I'm more impressed by a guy, who switch from Mylene Farmer (french varities music), to Pink Floyd, à world famous band (once deep down in Africa, when i was travelling around the world, a guy in à taxi i took, got a K7 from Pink Floyd, in his old car😂 They're, truly, world known, not Mylene Farmer😂).....It proves you like music....Peace from France ✌️
I see them live 8or9 time and still listing today at the age of 64 I love ithere music that much

Same here.
one of the most haunting songs. That guitar is literally crying and aching as it crescendos at the end... all the years of longing he sings of.
This make me nostalgic of my time as a student, at an old university. The light was brighter, indeed.
Me too😢😊

Please DO NOT compare PF with a fakest gig of NASA (NeverASpaceAgency) that is a blasphemy WAKE up!
This Concert was one of the Highlight in my life. I will never ever forget it.
Agreed
Les chansons de Pink Floyd : patrimoine mondial ...

Des génies
J'adore celle-là, elle est puissante 🌈
High Hopes was my absolute go to emotional song back in my teen days, and even after all these years, wow , it still gets me.
Songs about childhood and the big dreams you have as a kid. more or less. Childhood memories.

Great song, done so well.
I saw the pulse tour in Copenhagen 1994 best show ever!

I would recommend watching the Pompeii 2016 version. This song became better with each live versions they've made and Pompeii is the epitome
Stilla a masterpiece🇸🇪
The best live ever recorded....
Try Saucerful Of Secrets, the full length version, from Live at Pompeii, also One Of These Days from PULSE. for some interesting slide guitar work.
The greatest final song by a band in history. Period. Fight me.
Nice reaction to one of the greatest bands. Judging by your library you might enjoy a song called Roundabout by Yes the kings prog rock.
You must lesson -the girl in yellow dress- by David. Gilmour. You will be surprised how he's good whatever he do .
My favorite musician of all time .
New suscriber from France .
Merci et a bientot !
Seether -"Driven Under" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Try the version at Robert Wyatt’s Meltdown with Chelo and upright Bass
Dereck, you just have an incredibly good feel for great music. Our taste in music is pretty much the same. Keep it up. Best regards from Germany.
PF=Holly Bananas of course

The lp version for me is better even PF is not my cup of tea. This song is good but not same intensity live.

Why the songs are long because it's not commercial shit like you hear on the radio 🤔
think you will find that most of pink floyd is better live !
