5:20 Flashman was robbed
@MegaMan-Victory Flash Man needs better AI to dodge attacks esp from Bomb man bc he stays still before blasting (maybe able to shoot in Air?)
Needs a combo of more powerful shots, multishot damage or be able to make damage on contact (prob best known damage in MM games)
How would u do a Charge shot?! 😅
When Centaur Man beats you, you know you have some problems. When Guts Man gets a flawless victory on you? Just go home and rethink everything.
I'm surprised I saw a W for flash man in one of his fights. I didn't think flash would get a win on centaur man.
@@edwardjn8555 i found it pretty funny flash man got swept but not centaur man. Centaur Man will find ways to disappoint lol
Not just Guts Man. *Base* Guts Man
Centaur Man just got a buff, actually! He has a new trample attack, and a hitbox on his teleport
Because centaur man uses hos flash way faster the.....flash man? Lmao
The loss to Centar Man must have been especially hard. Few things hurt more than being good at just one thing and then having someone come along and do it better than you.
AND not being their main gimmick, Centaur Man effectively humiliated Flash Man.
@@DanTheLoler_17 It's especially funny since Centaur man used to be a MUSEUM TOUR GUIDE
And he just has a spacial time distortion machine inside him iirc lmao
I really like Flash man so man, do I feel bad for him
If only more of his projectiles could hit at once..
i just now realized that flash man's fire rate is so bad that he may genuinely lose to toad man if/when he gets implemented
Not only that but only one bullet out if his volly is effective when he attacks.
Centaur Man: You're INCREDIBLY weak.
Flash Man: ...I'm still pretty much you.
The problem with certain Robot Masters in these videos, like Flash Man, Elec Man, or Guts Man, is that they were designed to run into the player to cause damage. Without this defining part of their boss fights, they are left feeling non-aggressive and underpowered. It's especially true in Elec Man's case, as he can be one of the hardest boss fights in Megaman 1, due to how quickly he can deal contact damage.
I read the FAQs, so I know you don't want Robot Masters to fight each other by simply running into each other nonstop, but I think in the case of certain Robot Masters like the aforementioned three, they simply need it to stand a fighting chance beyond luck.
Elec Man's contact damage is the least of your worries in normal Mega Man 1; if anything, it's actively beneficial, as the 4 damage from it is way less than the 10 from his thunder beam. It's also very easy to prevent it due to him being knocked back by all of your attacks and bosses having minimal I-frames in MM1, though this of course causes more risk of the thunder beam hitting you if you haven't managed to get him stuck on the upper ledge.
quickman too
bro predicted the revengers series lmao
7:22 Hey, wait a second! You did Flash Man dirty! He won a single round against Centaur Man. It's not much, but give him some small shred of dignity!
I like to imagine that Flash Man is so bad he accidentally used time travel to undo his only win
I used to feel bad for beating Flash Man so quickly. Now I understand I’ve been mercy-killing the poor bastard all these years.
Super Flash Mans Weapon is like the Time Stopper if it were a Screen Wipe.
Also Guts Man Defeating Flash Man In Both Regular And Super Form, I don’t know if I should feel glad that Guts Man finally has a win or feel sorry for Flash Man losing to someone who I thought was the worst robot master in 1 on 1 Combat, even in Super Mode.
Looks like Guts Man has finally been dethroned as the worst Robot Master performance-wise. I especially liked the little twist after the first round of fights. One thing I noticed is that Flash Man's Time Stopper didn't stop his opponent's projectiles. Is there any reason why that is? I'm pretty sure Time Stopper completely freezes everything in the original game, including projectiles.
Great video as always, though. Keep up the good work!
I'm pretty sure Time Stopper stopping weapons is not the case, I remember being able to take down Flash Man with a Crash Bomb that I placed before the Time Stopper without having to wait for it to wear off.
@@tessbolick6605 You're right. I just checked. Flash Man's Time Stopper doesn't freeze projectiles, but the special weapon version Mega Man uses does.
@BraveBowmanTBW oh, thanks B^D
Really cool video, glad I got to catch the premiere!
It was cool seeing Elec Man in the Flash Man arena, he seemed a lot more competent suddenly.
Poor Flash lol, only one win even after getting a buff in his debut video
@an3_omx I checked the reaction in the premiere later and it was very fun B^D. thanks for watching always 8-)
Super Flash is a neat idea and may be a spoiler in a Battle Royale but with an attack rate *even lower than guts* Flash will always need help
flash damage is a neat idea, but i think contact damage would have been more appropriate. flash spends too much of his time
doing nothing, he should at least be a walking hurtbox
I imagine his bullets should be ignoring the opponent's i-frames, or deal contact damage like you say.
Tho Bright Man's difficulty comes specifically from his ability to stop you and inevitably deal contact damage.
I'd just make him attack a little more often.
We just need Bubble Man for all MM2 Robot Masters
I’d be laughing if Bubble Man’s AI is the same as Mega Man Maker’s when he’s fighting on land
@@fe7fe8yellowphoenix77I doubt that because of MegaMan Victory! often seeking to stay faithful to the NES material
@@leyulis8882 RIP Bubble Man fighting on land
@@fe7fe8yellowphoenix77It be cool if they make him have a unique pattern on land because he can still walk on land unlike Splash Woman. Just make him a little awkward like the Frog Suit in Super Mario Bros 3.
@@leyulis8882Yeah I think every fight for Bubble is gonna be underwater.
Seeing this, I realize you should make a “super elecman” that is immune to knockback
@joaquinmtz1027 yeah, I'm going to make a new version of him 8)
Strange how the one win Super Flashman gets is against the traditionally considered strongest Robot Master of the lot. That said, I feel if a battle ever comes up where there just isn't any i-frames, the machine gun on Flashman might do good damage.
Doc Robot buffed his machine gun like that. The i-frames were just ignored. As a compromise the barrage was also shorter.
To the content creator, thanks so much for doing this! I saw in the comments a few vids ago that someone requested a Flashman build, and you delivered. This was a fun watch.
At the same time I realized why you've only used MM1-2 and 6 bosses. MM3-5 have mostly robots that rely on patterns exclusively and less on AI programming. Or in the cases of Sparkman and Snakeman, they have too much of a reliance on their bossroom design.
Would be interesting to see if you could cherry pick some bosses out of MM3-5 that maybe have a shot to be interesting. I'd say Pharoah Man and Ring Man from MM4, Star Man from MM5 and maybe Needle Man from MM3 (Although his pattern is almost a retread of Metal Man).
I'd like to see you add more Mega Fighters to your menagerie.
@TR9O oh, thank you 8-). the series of robots is leaned to give priority to holding the league, but planning to make other series, so please wait. I want to have all the robots in the end B^D
7:21 i was rewatching these nostalgia and realized that you accidentally put the centaur man matchup as 0-20 when technically flash man won a single battle against centaur man
but from what i've seen, that win must've been purely an rng blessing, so it's fine that it wasn't accounted for on the final matchup list
I wonder when Centaur Man was given the ability to deal contact damage when charging across the stage, and when teleporting on top of their enemy.
Regardless, it was a nice & needed change since it never really did anything in the last couple videos he was featured in.
The misery of your enemies being 5'5
@@leyulis8882 That was also a factor in Centaur Man's shortcomings, literally too tall to land a hit on most enemies with standard shots.
@@Snypor hehe, *short*comings
Yeah, a few people (me included) suggested that the stampede should do contact damage, and it seems like MMV listened and implemented it.
It looks like they buffed a lot of the other ones, too (I know for sure that they decreased Gutsman and Elecman's cooldown), which I'm really happy about.
@@ethoatom668 I noticed that too but wasn't sure if I was seeing things correctly hahah. Seemed like Guts Man threw a boulder every two jumps as opposed to every three (or four? I forget). And yeah Elec Man seemed to be shooting way more rapidly.
3:58 Flash Man Vs Centaur Man (The Battle Of Freeze Time / Round 1)
11:03 Super Flash Man Vs Centaur Man (The Battle Of Freeze Time / Round 2)
All right! New Megaman victory! New robot master!
Heh the Guts fight was like the bullied kid picking on the new guy in town.
Cool seeing Super Flash in the same vid
@reserven5795 haha thanks B^D
Flash Man and Glass Joe certainly do have a lot in common.
Thanks for the Super version to make this a more interesting video. Basic Flashman seems like he will be the worst ranked robot master of all the 8 bit games.
@Lastjustice thank you too B^D
@@MegaMan-Victory You really do put alot of thought into this channel, as you make the fake/nerfed versions or Super/buffed versions for the weaker bots to keep things from being total blow outs/too predictable. Keep up the good work!
@Lastjustice there is no right answer in this game, so some times I get too confused lol B^D. thanks for your comments, I'm glad 8-)
@@MegaMan-Victory Well the right answer is whatever makes a fun a video; However you get there. Obviously seeing what Robot master does your taxes the fastest probably isn't going get alot of views, but you're welcome to try it.
interesting how the 'home turf advantage' is more notable on the super flash fights.
It’s impressive to see Guts Man winning a round with no damage, also seeing him and Elec Man diffing someone that bad!
In some battles Flash Man didn't jump when he got shot, but this won't change results of some battles. Good and cool battles as always. (Are Ice Man, Cut Man & Fire Man too hard for him? I'm just interested in fact, why they aren't here.)
(And yeah, Flash Man CAN do short junps, when he got a wall as obstacle.)
Just yeah. Idk, is this just me, or...
I believe, that in original game Flash Man is purely liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle, but faster.
My (maybe )Proof video: th-cam.com/video/K0WHyioAJpU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z3Cs87U4ouwlGLvf (19:35 - moment of Flash Man fight's almost beginning.)
@porkp8977 hi 8-). there's a reason he reacts to all warp blocks, but actually I'm still not well, so give me some time 8(. his walk is fixed at 2 dots (some times 1 dot at the moment he stops) RM's speed may look different in different emulators and different videos. the processing speed of Unity is also not exactly the same as NES. but thank you as always B^D. I'll check out some more about jumping 8)
I remember when I used to play Mega Man 2 on a website (nintendo8), Flash Man was the first Robot Master I ever beat. And mind you, I'm not all too good at Mega Man games.
I'm a little confused. The tally of Flash vs Centaur says Centaur won 19-1, as can be seen at 5:30 in the video. However, at 7:20, it shows 20-0. Seems like a small error and it most likely was 20-0.
PS: I like how Centaur Man's charge does damage now! It's just fitting for him.
PS2: I like how Elec Man slides on Flash man's stage floor.
PS3: I like the use of Flash Man's stage song for his segments. It could be an idea to always use the stage song of the robot master instead of the boss theme when it's a special version of themselves (Super Guts, Super Flash, and whatever other ones might come up in the future). That gives it flavor!
@MirinkaiserVODs haha thanks B^D. and I'm glad you complimented me about the use music 8)
Comment 100: Flashman vs Centaurman! Finally! 🎉🎉
Contact damage from Centaurman makes sense since he is one of the biggest robot masters. I imagine the same if Hardman slams down or Topman spins across.
It'll be neat if Topman winds up being crazy strong due to s and tracking projectiles.
Stellar vid, can't wait for more.
Can't watch til after work, but I'm super excited for Flash Man's debut!
Ohhh, Mega Man Victory, Is So Finally Now, Flash Man, Good.!!!!
As strange as it sounds, I'd love to see Toadman get in next, as pathetic as he is against a real player, his entirely reaction based strategy could prove really interesting against other robot master AI
I think it's time to give Flashman his contact damage buff, just like Centaurman's contant damage buff. (I guess)
I was wondering when you'd make a flashier man. Apparently, the answer was "Right now, in the very same video."
Thanks!
Your work is officially the top of my list.
Was hoping to Centaur and Quick man, only got centaur but elec made up for the missing Quick man fight, also super flash is cool, good job MV!
@eduardoaguero1220 oh, thanks B^D
poor flashman, just getting bullied most of the time through this...
Now all we need is Bright Man and we have the complete trifecta.
Centaur Man got buffed! His charge run thing does damage now! 🙌
🤩New Super Centaur Man🤩
You know you're pathetic if even with a super form, you lose to Centaur Man, and hilariously Guts Man seems built for dealing with Flash Man
Dream match 『GUTSMAN vs.FLASHMAN』 Thank you for making it happen👍
@user-rt4pz7ls2l oh, thanks for watching B^D
Lol I always start with this guy in megaman 2..sooo easy !
me too, but i didnt know he was THAT really easy. flash man maybe has the best robot master stage theme in mm2 besides being that weak lmao
@@Rakghe the only thing that makes him more difficult for us is that we can't touch him without taking dmg
@@jonathanwggoodal9921 the platforms make jumping over flash man much easier, doc robot is the real threat here
The hero's journey.
think his biggest problem is, he only shots when flashes what takes a long time. besides that, he is just running around
Poor Flashman falls in the category with Guts and Centaur 😢😢😢
Love how gut's man was just bullying flash man
Also, you can notice a quirk of flash man stage, It seen to be desing not to make Flash man more effective but quite the oposite
Sinse Flash man only shoots when he stops time the stage was probable made with that in mind so there is a chance of the player not be hitted depending on their position on the stage and the random spreed of Flash Man bullets, most likely to make him less frustrating fighting agaist sinse It's frustrating getting killed beacuse you literaly can't dodge a attack
Dang, even after going super flash man only ever got one good match up.
3:51
Yamato man: * timing it * .... ZA WARUDO!
After about 2 minutes of watching this, it was too painful. Flashman's AI needs fixed 😂
10:34 i know super flash’s only advantage is the damage over time but HOT DANG his movement was clean that game

When you realize how truly lame Flash Man truly is
Now, I Will Wait For MM4 or MM5 Robot Masters
@BlueTheMusicianBlob MM3 might be next 8( .... but I'm sure you'll wait 8-)
@@MegaMan-Victory Alright
Well, at least the flash man stage addition is nice
No physical damage when flash runs into the other robots?
Flash man needs some help. Specifically making their projectiles ignore i-frames and/or home in
Edit: HOLY SHIT HE'S REAL!
Flash Man's pattern is just an easier version of Guts Man's: move back and forth and only occasionally attack.
At least Guts Man is constantly stunning the opponent, Flash Man stuns them and attacks once every 5 seconds.
Super arm targets the opponent so he has that going for him; Flash Man's buster barely deals any damage, can only fire in a small area, and only hits once per attack.
Since Flash Man rarely jumps, he is a lot more prone to being hit by horizontal projectiles.
No wonder he is the easiest robot master in MM2.
Flash Stopper is completely worthless. At best it will prevent them from dodging his incredibly weak attack. Since he can't jump and his buster barely hits above him, if the enemy is airborne when he uses it, they are completely safe.
The only thing he has going for him is that he is constantly moving, which allows him to avoid projectiles, but that only works if he happens to be moving away from them at that particular instant.
Flash Man only jumps once hit or when switching sides, not to mention that as shown with Centaur Man (a mind you, 6'10 individual and Flash Man a 5'5 peasant) he can get RNG bad enough to completely miss a wave of shots
It's because he's too reliant on contact damage and attacks infrequently. At least he redeemed himself in Super mode, sort of.
I would suggest that we keep Super FlashMan as the base, since we had the Centaur rework recently.
The Time Stopper doing full screen dmg does't sound so bad, specially since characters such as QuickMan are *technically* weak to that
Damage on time stop makes sense considering that's what it does when MegaMan uses it. I always wondered why it was so, how the Flash Stopper was stronger on MegaMan than on the robot master that was designed for it
Time Stopper only caused damage on Quick Man as it was his weakness. It didn't damage any other robot master or regular enemy.
flash man is broken in lore but in game sucks XD
It is a Massacre !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ohh flash man is here maybe can you get him for my requests for rhe blue royal robot masters too with flash man vs tomahawk man vs air man vs ice man vs fake heat man vs copy robot
フラッシュマンの強みは突進にあるから仕方ねぇ
This feels like an early birthday present. Not only did you add Flashman (a character I've requested a few times in the past), but it looks like you've buffed some of the bottom-tier characters (including adding contact damage to Centaurman's charge and increasing the fire rate of Gutsman and Elecman's attacks. I'm excited to see how these buffs affect their performance and if Gutsman can leave G(For Gutsman)-tier) The inclusion of Super Flashman was also a pleasant surprise.
That said, I was shocked by how poorly Flashman performed. He was absolutely obliterated by some of the worst Robot Masters we've seen to date. He might very well be the weakest Robot Master to date. He shares a lot of weaknesses with Centaurman (which makes sense, seeing as the two of them have very similar strategies). His two weaknesses are his mobility and DPS.
Flashman's mobility doesn't seem all too different from some other Robot Masters. Yet, he appears to be punished far more often for his lackluster movement (perhaps because he looks just flail around instead of going straight back and forth from one side of the stage to another.)
His second (and by far most crippling) weakness is his abysmal DPS. His Timer Stopper has an incredibly long cooldown (longer than Centaurman's Centaur Flash, from the looks of their fight). The subsequent flurry from his buster, while firing a lot of pellets, is crippled by I-frames (meaning that often only one pellet will register, no matter how many actually hit his opponent). Another problem is the range of his attack, specifically how much of the stage it covers. Flashman has a reasonably good chance of hitting his opponent so long as they are at roughly equal height, but his attack can be countered simply by being above, below, or behind the cone of his attack. The spread of the flurry also means that having his opponent right in front of him doesn't guarantee a hit because RNG might just screw him over.
Overall, Flashman is overall an inferior version of Centaurman (which is funny, since I called Centaurman the worst RM we'd seen yet when he was first revealed.) He has some potential to be a good support character during team battles (assuming he doesn't freeze his teammates with his Time Stopper). Still, I think he'd be outclassed by Centaurman in virtually every way (especially now with Centaurman's buff.)
The irony of these fights' results is that I had predicted a long while back that Flashman might end up being one of the stronger RMs. I think this is because I (incorrectly) assumed that his buster shots wouldn't be subject to I-frames and that he'd use his Time Stopper more often. God, could I not be more wrong.
The inclusion of Super Flashman was nice, especially since it meant he didn't get 0-20's every time. However, I think some changes could be made to lift him out of struggling to keep up with the game's F-tiers:
- Make Super Flashman's pellets immune to I-frames. This would allow for more than one shot to connect per flurry, which would hopefully help with his abysmal DPS.
- Make him use his Time Stopper more frequently, perhaps to the same frequency as Centaurman.
- His damaging Time Stop might be seen as unfair because although it seemed to have only impacted a few matches, the fact that there's no counterplay to it other than "Don't have low HP" could make fights against him less fair that is assuming that other changes were included.
Regardless of how good or bad he is, I thank you so much for adding him. I don't know if you did so precisely because I asked or if it's just a happy coincidence, but I'm happy to see him regardless. I also really like that you buffed some of the other Robot Masters-even if a part of their charm was due to how godawful they were. It'll be interesting to see how they compare now that they actually have a bit of a fighting chance.
Great work, as always.
@ethoatom668 hi B^D. I know how much you like him lol. actually, I'm still not well, so I'll explain later, I don't adjust him anymore. but thank you as always! 8)

Flash Man lost most of his fights, even with a super upgrade...
Unbalanced as it might look on paper, I would like to see Flash Man vs Fire Man. The fact that Flash Man will just keep chasing Fire Man might prevent the latter from firing spontaneously, and since Flash Man only shoots when the enemy is frozen, Fire Man might not be able to retaliate. I'd say it will hinge on the exact timing of Fire Man's reaction shot and the relative moving speed of the two robots. Unless the flash counts as an attack, then Fire Man should win.
@Iddjy I couldn't decide whether to include that fight in this video, but finally I didn't. Fire man retaliates Flash man, but almost exactly as you'd expect. awesome B^D
Super flash seems to be very balanced. Add toad man next!
Do we finally have a worse fighter than Guts Man? I haven't more than two minutes, so I'll write what I find out.
Just finished the Elec Man fight. We have a worse fighter than Guts Man - he literally fought base Guts Man and lost 0-20. Without contact damage, the name of the game is rate of fire. Guts is turtle-rate, but Flash is just stationary.
Hit the end of the video. Super Flash was jazzed up, but lost against everyone but Bomb Man, somehow.
id like to see flash man in a big team battle, i think he'd be a great undrafted free agent for a savy GM who wants to build out a good roster.
i'd take fire man first overall live with flash man at the end of the draft
@MH-dt4ib haha, that's a good team 8)
Wait, so did he beat Centaur man once or was that a typo?
First Up, Where's Ice Man? Are you saving that for the Grand Rivalry of MM1 vs MM2? (But Elec has already faced all of MM2 except Bubble, IIRC...)
Second, why were Up-blocks needed on all fights? Flash Man jumps and, IIRC, so did most of his opponents in this test. (Centaur, and maybe Tomahawk, being the exceptions. Ice would need the up-blocks for the Rivalry, though.)
Third (EDITED): Strange how Guts Stomp only delays the Time Stopper; it should have taken effect _during_ the stun period if fired just before, though Flash Man would not have fired his spread buster.
Fourth: Kind of interesting whom Super Flash won against. I wonder if he wins against Cut, since he and Bomb have similar maneuverability.
Cut Man is very agressive though, often just walking towards his enemy and rolling his rolling cutter when he can
Flash Man's back-and-forth running around helped him against Bomb Man. That's the type of behavior Bomb Man has trouble against.
Ayo what was flash and tomahawk doing in the corner tho? 🤨
Hm...took creating a Super Flashman to get victory. Yeah I might even say make a berserk flash man like from a ROM hack. Rockman exile or something like that.
Why the Centauryman running work and the QUICKMAN doenst ???? Quickman punch like " THE FLASH " do ! Quickman has the same yellow and red outfit, what make Quickman fight hard is the RUNNING THROUGH

@@UlfFormynderA horse sounds like something less intentional, therefore would make me die quicker
@Megaman-o-Fusca I will explain in a little while, so please wait 8). (you may not be convinced)
I don’t see this going well for flash man
I think another good buff for unofficial fights with flash man could be
A) give his running or jumps a hitbox, since the original fight relied on catching you in a tricky jump
B) having his buster deal more damage, or
C) have said bullets ignore invincibility frames
Also I noticed centaur man finally got a hitbox, good for him
What about Bubble Man?

GO FLASH!
いくらなんでも攻撃間隔が長すぎ&弾き判定も無くてボス同士だと最弱レベルじゃなかろうか
Za warudo!
Even in bottom tier, Flash Man is a stinker
I think in-game he relied on contact damage pretty heavily, so without that... yup
Bruh. Flash Man wasn't strong enough, he have bad speed, bad dps and his Flash Stopper wasn't enough. If at least he got faster dps would be a lot better. His 'Super' version (his Flash Stopper deal dmg when used) still wasn't enough. EVEN for Guts Man (normal version) and Tomahawk Man he lose... He easily gain the rank F (A+ max rank) for this.
I think on the tier list, Heat Man, Air Man, Cut Man and Crash Man are the current top tiers, it sounds weird calling Cut Man competent, but would you believe that ? Man knows what's up (the clouds)
@@leyulis8882 Cut is a bit lower than these two, but still high.
@@leyulis8882 Cut Man's main two weaknesses were being weak to your default weapon, so fights with him would always be quick, and his pattern overall being fairly simple and easy for a human to react to, but that's not how any of the robot masters work so they'll just take a bunch of damage that no human ever would. He also seemed to get a lot of double hits, which I think are also very unlikely against a human but much more so exact the robots.
