Am Ghanaian and I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it on radio for an ad as a kid….. All I remembered was the beat and yippee yippee yooo and that’s how I’ve been searching for this song for over a decade now….. after so many futile attempts I got lucky today and it just popped up and on my TH-cam feed lol…… My attempts paid off after all…. So much memories
@@Sataka23clips lol. You’re way off. In the 90s, although there was no FL studio, other DAWs existed although they were very expensive. Mdu used a Mac SE with a 40 MB hard disk to sequence his MIDI files on a SP-1200 sampler and then mix and export projects on a mixing board. The process was very time consuming and thank God for FL Studio, Logic, Ableton etc because they allow you to do everything at once and you don’t have to worry about space.
You have to admire the power of expressing oneself in your mother tongue. If these guys were to be limited to singing in English, I doubt they would have been this dynamic.
Reminds me of a' 'CROSSBOW CIDER'' .......Panasonic/Technics hi-fi's outside on stoeps .......the smell of homemade cookies.......''GINGER ALE'' known as ''GEMMER'' .........Dr Martins.........and braai smoke up in the air.......(sighs)

Legendary and amazing song takes me back to my youth Ndofaya kasiLami...myself and my then girlfriend and now Wife featured on the video and how I would love to get it now and show it to my kids!!#Vusi maventure RIP!!
You can say that again. That was lovely music. Apart from the singers, the players of instruments were also a class removed from what we have these days.
Old school kwaito was the best thing that ever happened in SA music.
Abo Mandoza argh mannnnnnnnn
U can say that again
Say that again bro...
Apparently this is digong
Fact
These guys should be celebrated and given flowers while they still breath not when they are gone. This masterpiece is top of this world. Big up Mdu.
Well said, Thomas.

I wish guys like Mdu could show the young SA Music producers and singers how it was done then. These songs were a hit in the 1990s.
Delete fruity loops and use 1990s instruments. That's only way
@@Sataka23clips Music has to evolve even this doesn't sound like Chicco sound or traditional songs

Sometimes I wonder if these songs were as big in South Africa as they were in Bulawayo (Zimbabwe)........
They were massive, there was no hip hop back then and house was minimal, all we had was this.
EdmondLups ijooo! They were like the Lords Prayer.
EdmondLups Same here man, how come so little views for a massive hit like tsiki tsiki yo? Maybe TH-cam is not popular in SA?
Oh yes it definitely was bumping around every corner.
I'm asking the same question too... still love this version ukwedlula the Duncan version 😑
We love you MDU, our own kwaito legend thank you for your contribution into the music industry in mzansi may the Lord bless and protect you.
