Thank you for sharing, you did an excellent job. Those motors are bulletproof! I restored an old 144(0?) series with a b20. I found some straw when I reached into a rust hole in the rocker panel, kept pulling out this weird straw... last one I pulled along came with it a tiny birds nest with 3 little eggs ( long dead)... good times. that car is still on the road 15 years after. I hope that great feeling of pride in a job well done with patience hits every time you put the key in!!
Hi Marc: I'm the previous owner of your P1800. I'm the one who painted INGRID on the valve cover, converted it to an alternator, installed a Pertronics Ignitor and changed the taillight configuration to have four taillights instead of two. I totaled it trying to leave COSTCO's parking lot. I struggled with letting it go or as I loved it, but I also had a 1966 Mustang convertible project that got a new drive train with the settlement. I still miss it but I glad it was saved and has a new loving home!
