Three Killed As Typhoon Shanshan Batters Japan | 10 News First

Three people have died and dozens have been injured as a typhoon wreaks havoc on Japan’s southern island of Kyushu.
Typhoon Shanshan has left more than 250,000 homes without power, with the southern Miyazaki prefecture among the worst hit, receiving a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours.
Authorities are warning of extensive damage and flooding, with a couple in their 70s and their son in his 30s killed in the city of Gamori after a landslide crushed a house.
A rare typhoon warning has been issued, urging tens of thousands to evacuate, as it makes its way slowly north.

Oh that plane ride looks absolutely scary. Been on one like that and my knees shook for ages after. Hostess said it was about an 8 out of 10 - hate to be in an 11 out of 10.
