    I wish he won a premier class championship - he won a lot of races. I did a track day last season at Thunderhill West-Track with Tony Elias - it's amazing being around world class motogp racers.

    • @vtranmoto

      Totally agreed, there was a fun interview with current motogp riders testing their knowledge of past class champions, and many of them assumed Dani had won a championship for good reason! That is super cool you got to share the track with Tony Elias. They are on an entirely different planet of skill levels!

    Danny is so tiny, you look big next to him or he looks so small next to you and I’m guessing you are fairly small to begin with. Anyhow, great feedback from El Profesor. thanks John, pretty fun experience :) funny story, Chris Ulrich, the writer/editor at RW was a pro-racer when I was a novice in AFM out in California and I'd hear his name a lot in the paddock. While I was at Jerez, there were only a handful of us Americans so I asked who this random fellow was and he said "I'm Chris Ulrich". Had a great chat and learned alot about Roadracing World and their organization to provide more airfences at race tracks around the US. Great publication! :)

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agreed, I think the big thing is that it’s easy to understand conceptually the technique but it’s different to execute. Then there’s executing well. Much of what he pointed out is “basic” but actually doing it at his level is just surreal. Just an incredibly smooth and precise rider!

    • @USAracing
      @USAracing ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vtranmoto Practice makes perfect. that came with repetition. Doing the same thing over and over and over perfects it. He has been doing it since he was 7 years old its second nature to somebody like him but its still more natural to do vs what he said you was doing. I had mastered that body transfer technique on the street way before ever doing a track day from studying the body positions of the pros in WSBK and Motogp. Thats all I look at when I watch races. Their body positions and lines they take not the bikes

      you cant ask them because for them its a natural flow, as they have been doing it for so long. they cant explain it to you step by step.. this is how a conversation should go with one of these riders... "so, please explain how to ride so fast?" ; and "how do you do it?" "well its easy , you get on a bike at 5 years old and just ride" ... "but , i am not 5 years old " ... "well give me a cut of 42,000 and i will pretend to tell you how". dont ask the pros how they ride, once you get out there and do it you will know . a couple of vids and a couple of seesions with a fast rider will be enough to show you

It took me a moment to recollect myself before the corner workers pushed me and the bike back out on track and I was able to ride back to the garages.

      Thanks Gio! Yes, Dani is 100% The Man. I worked diligently on his lesson (and still do) and I was gushing with pride when he told me towards the end of the day that I had improved my transitions between turns 2 and 3. It's something I think about alot now, how to be more efficient on the bike and using my legs/core instead of forcing turns with my arms/upper body.

    I'd like to know what the differences are between the Kramer GP2R and the RC8C, is it purely the fairings and areo or is there something else too?

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Flying Badger, great question. Mechanically it’s the same. The difference is the fairings and aero package (wings and underscoop, have a look beneath the swingarm near the rear wheel) and a new airbox. We asked Markus if it makes any difference and the response was “maybe a little but it looks really cool!”. Hahaha :)
