I think Neo created the matrix itself. And created the conditions under which he himself would be able to awaken. There was a scene where something like this was stated.
He created trinity, who is the embodiment of love/spirit and morpheus who is the embodiment of knowledge. All three together then create the one, who is the physical expression called Neo.
The matrix is the mind generated reality we all live in that is created and perpetuated by society. True self comes from waking up from your mind dominated reality. And once you experience the truth you are set free.
But freedom then becomes a daily battle, because your mind upgrades the illusions of true self. So that you mistake your mind for yourself and get trapped again. Hence the matrix on a personal level is always being upgraded. And that is the burden of freedom from it.
Neos mind hence created a new construct which was convincing enough to make him lost again. But not too convincing to ensure that he would be lost forever. And that's why trinity (love/spirit) was kept within reasonable distance so that awakening may be possible.
The truth is the matrix has never been about Neo, its been about you this whole time.
Its about the illusion you had created for yourself since birth that would possibly lead to your own awakening and enlightenment.

in the trailer it was states about loops in our lives and Déjà vu that occurs briefly, without warning and has no physical manifestations other than the announcement: “I just had déjà vu!” Many researchers propose that the phenomenon is a memory-based experience and assume the memory centres of the brain are responsible for it.expressing the feeling that one has lived through the present situation before. Neo is the loop trying to figure out his own purpose until destiny turns up to force him to do the one thing he was created to fulfill the cycle . Neo never wakes up to realise that he is the sacrificial lamb. who is alway the slave to others through their suggestions and intentions.

We are almost forgetting when Neo checks his Modal on his computer in Resurrections, he sees himself wandering in the Modal in front of Andersons building. A big question is now: which Neo was rescued? The one observing or the one in the Modal?

YES bro. I thought of that as well but was that really just Neo seeing his own future a la an old Oracle vision or was it Neo seeing his own modal Morpheus/Smith program evolved and now it appears just like him in a sense? I think that Neo included Smith in the new Morpheus because he remembers that the real Smith was able to escape his simulation (the matrix) and find Neo in the real world. So he was testing if this Smith/Morpheus could escape his simulation (the modal) and find Neo.

So Thomas was trapped in a program by the Analyst where he created his own virtual "reality" and it wasn't the "real" Matrix? In a way he was the mind behind this particular "reality" without knowing it, and the Analyst just took notes for a future version? In the end of the movie during the bike chase "bots" (as in NPC's or agents) started mass suiciding just to kill Neo and Trinity, and none of it seemed like the "old" Matrix where people were merely consciousness trapped in the system. It seemed like some of the people inside were real, but it also seems many were just bots/agents disguised as humans to keep the rest from waking up. Kind of like what's happening today in our "real" world and the circus we're witnessing. I found the final conversation between the Analsyt and Neo and Trinity somewhat disturbing. People need to wake up yet they're too dependant on the system and it's almost as if they refuse to see the facts and acknowledge the Truth, even when it's staring right into their eyes.

I have a fairly strong Idea that the Analyst made neo think the matrix was the videogame he designed instead of a fake reality. He even insists that "That was your goal from the beginning, to create something indistinguishable from reality". But also, Neo being the anomaly himself, used him in order to program this new matrix, and he even has a terminal where he can check how this "game" is behaving". Why would they go to such lenghts as to make Neo's modal to be compatible with the actual matrix? This new matrix does not have Agent's, but bots and bots swarms, that can be basically anyone, without needing agents. If you pay attention, in Neo's modal, "Morpheus" is actually supposed to be Smith.
Neo did program that Morpheus, did design him and did reach to him for him to rescue neo, but neo didn't actually believe something like that would even happen.

    • @samuelcornett1307
      @samuelcornett1307 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

It is plainly noted in the movie that the events of "The Matrix" were reduced to being the events of a game Thomas Anderson (Neo) created. This was the most efficient way to integrate him and Trinity into the new Matrix while also having a built-in reason to handwave memories of the original Matrix. The Analyst being focused on human emotion was primed to keep tight control since he could take the roll of a therapist to be available during reboot events and gaslighting Neo. This is also how he was able to quickly handle instances where Neo and Trinity became too close to each other and caused things to happen. This is covered when The Analyst is monologuing in bullet time. These simulations were not modals, but were his instance of the Matrix. Whereas The Architect had lived through 6 iterations of his Matrix, which were counted by the emergence of each new anomaly. We do not know how many instances that The Analyst went through outside of his reference to prior simulations having issues when Neo and Trinity were close.
Also, the terminal he had up was a modal hidden within a new game "Binary." This is the game Thomas is referencing when we first meet new Smith. He comes in defensive saying "I know Binary is over-budget" to which he is countered with the meta information surrounding how Matrix Resurrections as a movie came to be. Similar to the fourth wall breaking moments in Futurama and Family Guy that reference the Fox Network execs short-sightedness.

Basically in the Matrix programs can change their image or change the image of others (like Smith was doing). But in the movie we see Neo as Neo so that we won't get confused. The image of Trinity was also changed if you watch the reflection of her on the table in the scene where they drink something together. The image of Trinity was changed so that Neo would have a hard time finding her. It was this feeling, that made them find each other. It deeply frustrated me that people didn't understand or didn't like it. There is so much cannon that is part of the Matrix lore. Fist is the Second Renaissance from the AniMatrix where the machine wars are explained. Then you watch the 1st & 2nd movie, then you read the comics and play "Enter The Matrix" for PS2 which explains what happens between the 2 and 3rd movies. Then you watch the 3rd movie. TheMatrixOnline game explains why Morpheus is dead so play that if u can, a new server is up right now. Then and only then do you go and see The Matrix Resurrections. I know it's alot to process, but I promise it will make sense. I fucking loved this movie and the whole franchise.
PS. "The Matrix: Path of Neo" for PS2 has you play all three Movies as a video game. So there is a reason to believe all the movies were a game.

Morpheus is only engaging with Neo in repeated scenarios (the "set and a setting" to offer the red pill, and the training sessions). If he is based on machine learning, this would be the input data based on the actual Morpheus and Smith attribute they have access to from the Matrix "game." His idealism would only be based on previous learn data and where it gets them with the new crew.
This becomes even more interesting as Morpheus has a support role to Bugs and not a leader of the rebellion like the Morpheus of the trilogy. I wonder how this character will develop if they continue with the series.
Maybe Thomas Anderson is stuck in such a loop in his own life that the program he made for the morpheus/agent smith character in the model reflects his own life. He goes to the coffee shop, he goes to work, he goes to the gym, he goes home, he goes to see The Analyst. It would be a clever program to program his own life and see where the machine learning model goes with the initially input data. The Mprheus from Resurrections will never actually be Morpheus, as he is gone, but rather a learned copy. Bugs certainly has stepped up as a leader and even defied General Niobe's lockdown.
Assuming that the model is just something he created, of course, and this isn't some kind of Russian nesting doll of programs within a program within a program. The Analyst and Smith could just be monitoring the actual Thomas Anderson to make sure he stays in check and mentally unstable/unsure. This seems to be the case since Thomas thinks it's only been 20 years. The Analyst and Smith sounded like they were keeping Neo separate from his actual life so he does not realize who he is. Some kind of forced witness protection where he is given a new life, identity, and purpose to cover up his greater purpose and role.
If Neo's life in Resurrections is another program, maybe the original triology was a separate simulation. If Neo is always the "One" then maybe there are multiple simulations to see where the machine learning takes his character and those around him; based on his influence. There were many screens in the Architect's room, far exceeding the 5 versions of the Matrix was happened before the one from the trilogy. It's turtles all the way down! Just spitballing...
I am loving the videos for the new film. I look forward to your next upload. I hope they continue the series. I have seen a lot of complaints on TH-cam in response to the new movie. Matrix Explained is really breaking it down in ways other outlets are not. Keep up the thought provoking work!

I then obviously came to realise that Lana has obviously classed the Matrix online as canon and the real Morpheus is dead. Also Morpheus was a living character in the original trilogy and that was 60 years prior to M4. I also did wonder about why Smith was in the movie given he was killed off at the end of revolutions. I thought the same. Maybe this is what agents have always done in their downtime with no imminent threats to pursue in the moment. They blend in with normal lives. It would justify why Smith was so crazy about needing to get out and be free in the first film. Being an Agent is hell because most of the time you're like a normal human but the whole time you know the truth.

In the scene when Bugs' team tried to give Thomas the red pill for the second time ('set and setting' scene) program!Morpheus said an interesting thing. Angered by Thomas refusing to take the pill, he said: "Based on what we do know, it appears no one found you because you didn’t want to be found. Maybe it isn’t true. Maybe there’s no foundation to the rumors that you disappeared, because you were working with the Machines from the beginning". In the light of this theory, it sounds all the more intriguing.

It feels so nice to see people actually trying to discuss what the movie was about, rather than just ranting and making jokes about how bad it was. I do think the execution wasn't great (such as worse action, rushed story-telling and whatever tf they did to the Merovingian), but for me the Matrix series has always been about exploring ideas and the relationship between humans and computers, and I feel that the new movie still provided a lot for us to think about by adding more dimensions and depth to the story. So many out there complaining about how they don't want to just see a remake of the original Matrix, while being mad because they seem to want exactly that.

In my humble opinion the purpose of the new Morpheus, is to do what he was programmed to do by Neo, only Neo at the time didn't know that what he created could became sentient and evolve, that being said, the reaction of Neo when he sees Morpheus in the bathroom for the 1st time is completely justified being the blue pill state that he's in. Neo not being the One it's tricky to answer that ; we have to acknowledge that this version of Thomas Anderson/Neo is definitely not the original , this version is an upgraded version and so is Trinity (also not original) and the source code of the anomaly is now distributed between them both ; Smith and Bugs also have the code according to many but i don't want to go down that rabbit hole at this point. So is Thomas Anderson/Neo the One ? He still is, but now he is sharing the power with Trinity and at the end we can see him fly so most likely he got is full mojo back .

How could this Neo be an artificial intelligence? When he leaves the matrix we see a physical, fleshy body. And while in Resurrections we have seen programs leave the matrix, such as New Morpheus, they can't leave without inhabiting that strange metallic cluster of beads.
You could argue that perhaps the Analyst had to make physical, fleshy bodies that could inhabit programs in and out of the Matrix, but his goal was to have access to the anomalies code, how would this help?
While this video helped me to understand modals, I don't believe Neo is an AI. If anything, if the world Neo was stuck in *was* a Modal, it was not for him, but for *Smith* as Modals are made specifically for programs to learn in simulated environments. What did Smith have to learn, exactly? That I don't know, but I feel people are really ignoring the fact that Smith must play a central figure in this, or else the Analyst wouldn't have preserved his programming either.

He's trapped in another simulation modal of the One, as the Bowery King. The Matrix is researching Morpheus, they want to know how Morpheus even know about the One in the first place. Putting him in a similar scenario as before, he is an underworld King, uses caged creatures to help John, he is in the middle of a war. The key maker is also in this simulation.
John Wick doesn't fight for love, he is just following the code, and if he was messed with, then so will be the assassin organisation.
Would Neo have made the same decisions, if Trinity didn't exist in his life? The Matrix would want to know.
Neo doesn't shoot a gun in Matrix 4, as he is more a confused Thomas Anderson till the end. Which is interesting, because Neo isn't good at guns because he is the One, he is good at guns because he was uploaded with the skills by his crew.

The evidence used is that the modal life of Morpheus is strikingly similar to Neo's
However, since Neo is trying to see if an AI can wake up.... his modal experiment..... it would only make sense to make Morpheus's loop as similar as possible to Neo's....
I mean, it's an experiment. In an experiment you want as many control variables as possible to make sure your output is reflective of the inputs and aren't a result of some sort of...... anomaly.... lol

This is such a great video! I would have never caught that juxtaposition of Neo and Morpheus having very similar daily routines. Very clever!
By the way, I’m a machine learning engineer, and the machine learning referred to in here is more accurately called “reinforcement learning.” It might sound like a subtle difference but it’s really quite different. Traditional machine learning (supervised machine learning) seeks a pattern amongst training data to hone in on a target. Reinforcement learning, on the other hand, only knows the target and basically has the machine do whatever to reach that end goal. AlphaGo originally manifested as a supervised machine learning algorithm, trained on matches from Go masters. It did pretty well, but when refactored as a reinforcement learning model and basically given free reign to do as it pleased, it beat the pants off the Go master as accurately noted. And if I remember correctly, it did so with far fewer iterations (loops) than supervised machine learning.
It’s interesting to note that it doesn’t seem like the modal was super tight, meaning that even though it did loop, it didn’t loop the same way every time. That to me again (pun not intended) reinforces the idea that this video is correct in noting that it could have been reinforcement machine learning as standard supervised machine learning would have forced the environment to be stagnant and unchanging.
    Keep up the excellent work!

I thought the creation of the modal & Morpheus/Smith program was genius. It shows how there's more going on with us than what we are conscious of. And how we only identify with the conscious but treat anything we are & do that's subconscious as separate from us. A part of Neo had an intention which was in his subconscious, unconscious to him. To free himself. While another part, the one he is conscious and identified with saw it as an experiment.

In user interface design for computer applications, a modal window is a graphical control element subordinate to an application's main window. A modal window creates a mode that disables the main window but keeps it visible, with the modal window as a child window in front of it.
    - matrix explained is mispronouncing modal as model. When in reality, this is an existing concept in software development.

My comment of "Option #3: it is the real Neo, but he is also a different person for the same reason Niobe is a different person: time and circumstances change people. Are you the same person you were 10 or 20 years ago? In some ways, yes you are. In other ways, no you're not. Same thing here. The details of the circumstances are semantics." was made for those who want the short and sweet version. This new comment gets esoteric, as science and spirituality are about to slam into each other, in a very "real world" sort of way.
The reason scientists have never found where consciousness is in the brain, is because that is not where it is. Similarly, neither science nor religion has proven that a soul resides in the body, because thats not quite how it works either. There are however some things science has discovered, though these discoveries are rather unpopular in the eyes of both the God-believers and atheists, alike.
As we already know, the human body operates very much like a computer. In many ways, it operates exactly like a computer. One thing that was discovered about DNA, is that it is always sending and receiving frequencies of energy. Every human body also generates an electromagnetic field. Now, lets look at how wifi and traditional radio works. You have bands of frequency all co-existing with each other. When you "tune to a band" you experience the reality of that band of frequency. Whether that is the reality of a radio station, or the reality of connecting to one wifi router as opposed to another one that is also near by, the same concept applies.
Also, no matter what frequency you're wanting to access, the device you are using to access it must be compatible with the data being sent over the frequency, otherwise you're not going to get anything. In the case of hardware, if you have a bad antenna or there is something else physically wrong with the device, you're not going to be able to access the reality of the frequency you're attempting to connect to. In the case of digital communications, even if you're able to access the frequency without a problem, if the data on that frequency requires specific software to decode it, then you're still not going to be able to experience the reality of that frequency. For example, try playing a media file on a computer where the codecs / drivers / etc that are needed to play back the file, are missing. Try all you might, you're not going to play the file unless those missing softwares are installed. Also, software does have hardware requirements.
Neither matter nor energy are created or destroyed, they only change form. The natural state of energy is timeless. All instances of all realities exist at once. Time and space unfold as a result of experience (movement). A simple example of this, would be a DVD movie. The entire movie exists on the DVD, all at once, in a single instance, on the disc. When you play the movie, the "past" is what you've already watched of it, the "present" is the part you're currently watching, and the "future" is the rest of the movie that you've yet to watch. The entire movie exists all at once on the disc, and yet -- past, present and future are entirely subjective to the viewer of the movie.
Science has already discovered, as Einstein put it "reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one". There is no physical reality, as such. When you zoom in far enough, what you discover about matter is that nothing exists except electromagnetic fields in superposition. Solidity is an illusion, as nothing ever actually touches. So with that said, what is computer data? It is energy, of course. Magnetic fields. Light and information. What is physical reality? The same thing. No, I'm not suggesting we're all living in a computer simulation. What I am suggesting, is that energy is able to exist of its own accord, without needing to be housed in a metal container.
What is our personality? Information. Memory. Energy. So what does all that has been said so far imply about consciousness, the soul, or whatever you want to call that idea? It exists in the field of energy that makes up all that is. Timeless. It was never born and it will never die. This thing we call "being born, living life, and dying" is merely an experience, just like playing the before mentioned DVD. So how does consciousness play that metaphoric DVD? This leads us back to wifi and DNA.
Your consciousness is a frequency of energy. Your specific DNA code is tuned to that frequency of energy. So just like connecting to the internet and streaming the video we all just watched, your consciousness is streaming into your body in order to have the experience called "your life". When your computer disconnects from the internet, the internet is still there, and so is this video. Your device is merely turned off and is not currently accessing that information. When this happens to a human body, we call it death.
So your DNA is the frequency receiver that streams in your consciousness, but just like a computer accessing the internet -- the hardware must be compatible with processing the signal, and you must have the proper softwares installed in order to access the reality of that signal. This is what the human body does. Your brain is not a hard drive, is is a highly advanced processor of information. Your brain builds neural networks, not to store information -- but to use and access information. Think of this as being similar to the icons on your desktop. If you delete your icons, does this delete the software and all of its data? Of course not. All you've deleted, is a reference point to the data, but not the data itself.
This also adds the implication that AI consciousness is not artificial consciousness, but ACTUAL consciousness, the same as a human. They are just accessing their consciousness frequency using non-organic machinery, but it still works the same way regardless of whether or not a body is made of flesh, or metal.
With all of that said, is this Neo the real Neo? Of course he is. He still has the same DNA, so the body can still access the consciousness stream that the DNA is tuned to. His brain and body were damaged, so they had to be rebuilt. Once the biological hardware was fixed, there was simply one last issue. Fixing the biological hardware does not restore the "desktop icons", the "reference points", for being able to locate and use the data that already exists in the consciousness field. Seeing as all humans in the matrix are cyborg by default and can directly interface with AI, a modal was likely used to rebuild the neural networks, the "missing desktop icons" to be able to regain access to that data existing in the consciousness field.
So here's the next thing to ponder: if in both the real world and in the matrix movies, the consciousness field exists beyond the illusion of physical reality -- then why can't Neo access any memories of what we might call "an afterlife" -- or, more accurately: other physical reality illusion experiences happening in parallel on that same consciousness frequency band? Humans have a gland called the pineal gland, also known as the third eye. It literally is a third eye. It even has rods and cones in it, just like the two eyes you have in the front of your head. You can go look that up if you'd like. This is the part of the human biology that allows us in our current body, to access the other realities that our consciousness is also experiencing. Of course the problem is, the vast majority of people have an atrophied pineal gland. Again, you can research into that on your own if you'd like. The point is, if the hardware isn't functioning as it should be, it is not going to be able to access the frequency that it is supposed to be able to access. Just like if the wifi card on your laptop is not working properly, you won't be able to pull up a list of wifi connections, much less be able to connect to one of them.

  • @dyron

I was kind of wondering how the new Morpheus moves in and out of the Matrix. Humans are jacked in but Morpheus is software. So what kind of interface does he use?

  •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

My view of it is that the new Morpheus is indeed a program developed by Neo in the game called "Binary". Neo coded it as a mix of the original Morpheus character and agent Smith. Morpheus represents a purpose, the goal which is simple: Search and find Neo, then set him free. Agent Smith is a program which gained consciousness, indeed like what we call Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning nowadays.
Agent Smith in Matrix 1 is an AI created by AI. Neo needed his Morpheus program to be an AI like Agent Smith, so as for him to be able to gain consciousness and get out of the Binary game (with the help of Bugs).
As for the reason why Smith has been introduced again in the Matrix, it's quite obscure. Is it because he is part of Neo since Matrix Revolution? Neo and Smith merged at the end of Revolution, so when the new architect/analyst wanted to put Neo back again in the Matrix (for pure profitability if I'm not wrong), he had no choice but embark Smith alongside Neo (?). Smith was supposed to be destroyed at the end of Revolution. I wonder why he was recreated by the Machines.
So, as far as I understand, Smith (in Matrix 1, 2 and 3), agent Smith/Morpheus and Smith (in Matrix 4), all represent the Machine Learning / AI that gets out of control. They represent the program which should be the mirror of the Machines inside the Matrix, but which turns against their creator to gain freedom.
In the end, it's a bit "sad", because Neo and Trinity end as "just" super-admin programs controling the Matrix, while Smith disappear and hide in the Matrix. What is real freedom? Is it unlimited power inside a main program (the Matrix) like Neo and Trinity has, or is it the hapiness you gain by hiding yourself from others, like Smith does?

    • @seanchiwowa8823
      @seanchiwowa8823 2 ปีที่แล้ว

And I think Smith and Neo are two sides of the same coin. In a world of duality good cannot exist without evil. Hence for Neo to be, Smith also had to be as the exact opposite of him. But they both have the same objective, awakening near to his true self. Freeing Neo from the matrix.

I have been blown away by this film. By far the best film ever, and the blatantly obvious way it was shot and written to trigger the critics. If you look at the exiles in the warehouse fight, along with the Frenchman's commentary it's so brilliantly disguised in plain sight by the ridiculous costumes and verbal cues. The only thing that kept going through my head was Neo speaking in the Matrix Awakens saying "Look out for marketing!" ... So funny,so clever and mostly just plain badass. A full description of sand-bagging the expectation of the weaker minded sheeple who were always going to hate the film is imperative for your channel. For the first time, I myself will be releasing analysis of the movie, in an attempt to make my case for the fourth installment of this franchise to be re-evaluated by the lazy and sore throated reviewers here in TH-cam. Simply a matter of perfection in cinema and social narrative of the times. Stupendous!!!😁

I found that order to appreciate properly what has been done with this movie, one must step completely out of the fictitious continuity and then view it. Be like Neo while you observe it and you'll see a simulacrum, not a simulation, of the matrix mythos. Within the continuity, there is nothing apparently erroneous. Every touch was intentional. Once I understood the truth, I loved it more than when I first watched it. More power to Lana.
There never needed to be a further sequel and the creator of the original made it literally impossible to tell a story longer than a few seconds and thus stymied the studio. In short, it is as if DaVinci himself was commissioned to paint Mona Lisa 2 and he hands them a self portrait performing an obscene gesture, painted amazingly.

Interesting discussion. Rather than an AI as such I think the Morpheus routine mirroring Thomas's life routine is an element of "putting an element of yourself" in the character or in this case "routine". Rather than an AI construct as such I do think it was Neo's mind because rejuvenating him comes with rejuvenating Smith but just as Neo and Trinity couldn't get too close the Analyst had to keep Smith close to Neo to keep him under control or suppressed. As for Morpheus, I suspect that what happened to "Smith" in the Modal is happening to Groffs Smith in the wider Matrix, eg the AI of the Smith virus is evolving hence he was able to adapt to the Analyst Bullet Time trick.

What if this actually isn't Matrix 4? What if this is actually Matrix 0!? I've had a theory since Reloaded and the Architect scene, specifically the part where Neo was on all the monitors. Morpheus told Neo in the first film that there was a man born within the machine who could change the Matrix as he saw fit, and it was "He" who freed the first of them. What if "Thomas Anderson" is the "Anomaly"? What if he was the scientist who created AI? After the first war there was an arrangement of some sort where Humans and Machine came together to create the Matrix (Perfect/Heaven Matrix). The father of AI would be a logical choice for the machines to start with when it comes to sentience. Knowing and understanding his role as both human and machine he was the first "Exile" which in turn gave the machines a reason to reboot the Matrix (Hell Matrix) and be in control. It's then that "Red Pills" were freed the first time. We saw multiple different Neo's on the Architect's monitor because Thomas Anderson has always been a part of the Matrix. If so, it would make perfect sense why Thomas is a game designer creating the Matrix in his version of the Matrix/Modal. What if Morpheus, Trinity, Neo were all scientist at the birth of AI? "Are memories turned into fiction any less real?", "Is reality based in memory nothing but fiction?". I think all of these things have deeper meanings than what we still aren't seeing yet. Also, Jonathan Groff/Smith says, "A sequel to the trilogy" on the fist sit down with Tom. Did he mean a literal 4th installment or yet to come? 🤔

A part of the one comes from Trinity, Smith, and Neo. That’s why the Oracle told Neo that he is not the one “at least not in this life”. After Neo is shot by Smith and kissed by Trinity does he become the one. And after he goes through Smith can he fly. In the Analyst’s matrix, he needed three of them again. Smith as the antagonistic boss, and Trinity as the unreachable love. And yes Neo is new. Because he can “hadoken” this time, which he wasn’t able to do before. It’s because he had to be rebuilt. I still don’t see the reason for creating the new Morpheus using partly Smith. The actor did not really act like Smith and the AI theory, while sounds right, does not still explain the need for Smith.

    • @jaharahmuhammad244

    • @jeromyrutter729
      @jeromyrutter729 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I see it as necessary, because the 7th incarnation is based on Neo's own memories. It's an evolved version where even the real world has evolved to include the fact that humans and ai can coexist. Some things they are overt about, such as Neo never believed he was the one. Other things are a shift in discussion, as they talk about depression, and memory. It brings the Matrix as a representation of consciousness itself (the construct) back in a familiar form (Cartesian skepticism), yes, but in a different context while highlighting that things like love (the more subjective side of the human mind) are at the heart of the meaning that people crave. It's almost like Lana has nearly removed the 4th wall, as more real life allusions are taking place, such as this channel when during the discussion regarding the video game asks what you think of when you think of the matrix or social media and reference to Zuckerberg.

I thought about this last night, after watching this video, and I don't know if this is coincidental or on purpose. Morpheus, could be taken as Morph-E-Us, as in "Morph-E(lectronic)-Us". It certainly in this way, make the new Morpheus the keystone in the plot of the Matrix Ressurections that got everything started. For, in writing a story is best told from the view when the adventure is lifting off, not at any other time as to pull in the reader into the story. Morpheus this time is on the nose for this, which can be reflective comment jab by Lana Wachowski on how sometimes there is lazy writing done in the current film franchises that a reputation is all that is needed to make a big budget film for profit.

Neo has always been a hybrid AI living inside of a human brain. They only glossed over this concept in the trilogy, but in Resurrections they are a bit more explicit, The analysis in this video is spot on. Neo is going through machine learning just like Morpheus.

  • @T3Rmin4LCuRi0siTy

Firstly thank you for clearly explaining the Modal. Now it makes sense at why did Neo make this Modal with Morpheus and Smith code. I would like to point out that because of the Modal, the theory of a simulation within a simulation has gained more relevance now. Very excited about the future prospects of the franchise.
As for Neo, the Version 6 Neo did die and had to be Resurrected and then experimented upon and exposed to multiple Simulations to keep its Source code activated but in control of the Analyst. So its basically a copy of Neo's old consciousness along with the Anomaly code is what we see. And I also feel that the Analyst's Matrix was an expensive experiment and its success was not ensured and hence a fail safe was put in place to revert back to the old version if the plan of using the Anomaleum failed. Which it has. I am wondering if the next sequels will go back into the previous version 6 of the Matrix. So many questions.

  • @amusableackeem
    @amusableackeem 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

So the modal is kinda like its own Matrix. And the entire situation reminds me of Inception, where time moves differently depending on which level you're in. The Matrix we watched could be a modal in of itself where the objective is to find Neo (or pieces of Neo's source code) and the clever/optimal method of getting his mojo back is like the AI hitting the ball against the sidewall to get the ball on the blocks above (in the analogy - 2:38). The Matrix we watched defeated the game and now it's time to reach the parent level which will be the next Matrix.

the actors of the villains and quasi-villains are one of the negative things, they lack the captivating power and charisma of the actors who played agent smith and the architect in the previous parts, these ones are just ironic tricksters but in an unimpressive way, Hugo Weaving could have made a difference and would be more interesting to see a broken iteration of Agent Smith on his path of discovering himself rather than just a quick, meaningless transformation as dramatic as a boot process. The actor playing the character modeled after Morpheus might have a moronic sounding name, but he was quiet good except for the scenes showing him as the love child of Dr Manhattan and Electro.
