I feel like that. Good but confuse.
My mom was driving me home from work one day and she had been really upset about a recent passing in the family, especially since she was so close to them. Since this song reminds me of my mom, I grabbed her phone that was already playing music and changed it to this song. Despite my horrible voice I still sang to her, and she looked at me and broke down halfway through the song. By the end of the song we were both crying. It's a sad yet fond memory I have of me and my mom and it's a memory I'll cherish forever.

My interpretation is simple. His mother asked him to build a house of gold when his father dies and take care of her. While part of him wants to make his mother happy, this would kill his dreams of pursuing music. The fact that his heart is with his mom and his legs are elsewhere shows that he is truly torn between pursuing his dreams and taking care of his mother. Ultimately, he dies when he stays with his Mom, which represents his pursuit of a music career dying.

People in the comments are asking for meaning in the video, so I did a little research. Though really you can interpret it however you desire.
The song is obviously about a mother, whom the boys care for. Josh and Tyler have stated that they love their mothers dearly, and they are who they dedicated the song to.
The top half of Josh and Tyler are near the house where the mother is located. The top section of the torso contains the heart, so their heart will always reside near their mothers.
The legs are seen roaming freely, and playing instruments, signifying the boy's desire to move around and pursue music careers.
The part of Tyler falling at the end is fuzzy, and I guess you could perceive it as his heart being broken if he lost his mother, or how devastated his mother would be if he were taken abruptly, but I have no clue. Hope this helps anyone. I found it through Google so I don't know how reliable it is.

I have a theory about this video. It's not great and idk if anyone else has already said something similar but whatever.
So, the lyrics clearly state that Tyler cares about and loves his mother, so much that he'd give her anything, and do anything for her.
We all know Tyler has gone through some hard times and in some of those hard times has written deep shit songs in which he has clearly contemplated suicide in the past. Suicide: the possibility of his mother outliving him.
I think this video plays in a scenario in which, unfortunately, our Tyler does commit suicide. To me, this video is about him coming back from the dead and trying to fulfill his promise to his mother, coming back to take care of her, and watch over her and singing to her the promises he made to her when he was still alive.
Yeah idk, it's kind of a lame theory.

bro no way I had the same dream on the same day as you. They came to my city and we hung out with eachother and my friends for like the entire day. it was so cool.
Then I woke up.
I'm starting to think everyone has the same dream, but they're in different places. Here's my dream:
I was at my school, normal day. (It was my elementary school and it looked like I was in the 3rd grade or so.) When recess came, I saw this van just parked there and nobody noticed it until I walked up to it. I looked a bit closer and went up to them all calm (I've met many youtubers before, so ik what it's like to meet a celeb) I started joking around with them. Then I saw little pieces of paper and you can get one with Tyler on it or Josh on it. I acted all stupid and said "Oh is this one Josh? Yeah it is." So I picked it up and got an autograph (I guess it was invisible though) And at the end of the day I wanted to explore and one of my friends from second grade showed me something. Then they vanished. I just walked into this classroom and it was a boy teacher. It's weird for me because the only boy teacher taught fourth grade but this class looked like sixth. It seemed like I was invisible to everyone in the room. I just looked under a desk in the corner (the room was a mess so it was kinda hard) It just had a little escape hatch. Nobody could fit through it unless they were slender slender man. Then I woke up. I said to myself, "What the heck did my sister do to me?"

me and my brother used to listen to twenty one pilots together a lot i know i was depressed i'm not sure about him we never talked about our feelings just listened to these songs, this was the only song that our mom liked that they played so we would play it for her to make her happy. this seems sweet until you know the reason i was depressed was because my mother was emotionally and physically abusive for years and still is to me. i've got exactly one month till i move out and start a new life so cheers to this song for helping me and my brother and goodbye to this cruel cruel place called home
