David I hope you read this. God used you and this song for me today. I have cancer and not expected to live long. I’m only 63. I had a cry with God today. I sobbed and told Him how I felt, my fears, how I feel abandoned by Him. My husband came home from a medical appointment shortly after and checking on me he got out his phone and said I needed to see what came up on a google ad. It was this video of you. The tears poured down my face as you sang God will take care of you. The timing was not coincidental. God heard my cry and answered me through you. Thank you from my heart.

David looks and sounds younger than he did a decade ago. Amazing. Just keeps getting better with age. I didn’t think he could get any better but i was wrong.
I feel for whatever reason, God chose David Phelps for a special ministry, and put a Stradivarius in his larynx, to give us all a little taste of Heaven. Praise God, David has perfected his craft with this magnificent gift -- but best of all, he has remained humble. Every time I hear him the tears of joy flow down my cheeks Also, David has not let all this go to his head, and become proud or conceited. With such a special instrument and call from God, I know that the devil has continually dangled the world's sparkly "sins for a season" -- and offered him the world, if he will only deflect from his call for just a moment, just this "one special time." As far as I know, David has remained faithful 100% to serving and uplifting his talent to His Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ -- Who left His magnificent mansions of Heaven, to come down to this earthly dungeon, and then be tortured and executed by the very people He came to save. We must all pray for this man, that he will NEVER be distracted by the "sugar plums" Satan is continually dangling before his eyes, but remain faithful to His Redeemer, Who gave His EVERYTHING for him. As far as this song goes, the first time I heard it, I felt the style was a little too out-there for me. (I'm 72) But I put it on "loop" -- and by the second, third, and fourth listen, the structure of the melody clicked in for me, and it has become one of my absolute favorites, even topping "No More Night" & "These Are They." David, just to familiarize myself with you, I am a retired minister, with a Major in Theology, and a Minor in Music [Vocial Performance] -- and I made 3 Gospel albums in the early 90s (cassette). I really think you make an impact on peoples connections with Jesus. Anyone who can sing like you do has a talent that could lead you in all the right directions… but could lead all in the wrong ones too. I’m so glad that god and Jesus touched you to go in the right one. I always dreamed of being a tenor…. Just never worked out that way. Don’t get me wrong… Jesus is my “first love!”.
