I'm 65 now, and I've never been married. The thought of having kids scared the crap out of me, exactly because of the things in this video. And then...spouses can be super demanding, petty, and annoying, too, just like children! Fortunately for me, I realized early on I was far too selfish and self absorbed to take on these kinds of responsibilities. It was the best possible decision for me, and I regret it for only about once a year for 10 minutes. L feakin' OL!
@@user-ml5qx5sm3w Um...sometimes I'll see a kid and think, What a darling little boy! If he were MY son, I'd take him to McDonald's and buy him a hamburger and a toy! And then I'll think about what kinds of things could happen between the hamburger and college...or the pen!
I'm the same but now I'm 63 I worry about not having anyone to look after me if I get ill or infirm.

How about placing yourself into a position where your retirement community apartment can turn into a full care apartment? You've got tons of money, right? You invested well and get to travel the world happily and freely, right?

Elderly woman here, looking at 8:11. The photo is from the 50s, of a woman born in 1900. Her back hurts, her feet hurt, and she's getting burned because her coordination is shot and she can't see very well. Given the state of her memory, anything with more than 2 steps is too hard. She's trying not to scream because it would scare the grandchildren. Apart from that...I love it.

I don't used skin creams. My grandmother said that every Grey hair and every wrinkle has a story. She was a damn hard worker and she had 9 children. She said that she didn't have time to sweet talk or to gossip. That was rule!
Grandmother with 9 children lived in a time before the pill and reasonably reliable birth control. We (Boomers) were the first generation who really had a choice whether or not to procreate. I think many of my peers had children mainly to please their mothers; certainly not to please their husbands, who would have preferred to have more disposable income and a wife whose body remained more desirable and one who had more time to lavish attention upon him instead. Just sayin'

Before we left the house to go to the park my Mum would warn us not to break anything because she doesn't have the time to take us to the hospital. We did crazy things, had many cuts and scrapes but never broke anything. Good times!
I am now 71, thank you for all the chuckles! Trust me, ladies, you will not remember any of this tough stuff. You too will be chuckling one day and missing all of the craziness!
