I cannot evaluate Sinner's performance in the 3rd set-- too many missed points as per the highlights. All I can say is that I have not seen Tsitsipas play this well in years!! HUGE Sinner fan here but a sincere congrats to Stefanos!!👏👏
@lucis..: Indeed he had chances but could not capitalise on them. Tsitsipas played very high level 1st set. Second he slumped; 3rd he regained after a slow start. Very close one this. Sinner had chances after the miscall incident but in the end I reckon Tsitsipas was the stronger physically and hence got it in the end. Good to see him win an important tournament. It's clear why Stefanos is so much better on clay. He grew up playing on the dirt and times the ball so much better, the slower and higher bounce is just ingrained in his system.
Sinner defeated by the umpire. Extraordinary mistake by the umpire: it was double fault and 4-1 for Sinner with two breaks to recover for tsitsipas. The match was virtually over and Sinner was in the final. What a huge robbery
Shame this replay doesn't show the terrible mistake the judges made. A Tsisipas serve at breakpoint 3-1 that was out. Which would mean a two break difference! Then the injuries came.
I like Stefanos normally and Jannik is the greatest for me after Roger‘s retirement. Everybody was able to see, that after the medical timeout, Jannik was not able to move normally. Without this injury, Stefanos never had won. Hopefully Jannik is recovering fast. That Jannik is not name the injury as reason for his loss. This shows his gentle class!

I would have gladly paid good money to watch tennis matches on my tv at home with this camera angle. No moving camera. No Birds Eye view. They could have done this years ago and it would have attracted more casual fans.
