So I would talk about guinea pigs everyday to my mom, I'd tell her new things I learned about them, and I'd explain to her why they needed certain things, why I wanted them etc. I kept it consistent so she new I really wanted them, and I wasn't going to lose interest in them, it was also good for me because I was doing plenty of research everyday, and I enjoyed it, I also did a few guinea pig diys to save money. Finally once I got my grades up and consistently begged everyday for 3 months, she let my get my first 2 guinea pigs. It was hella worth it lol.

I did a lot of research, but when I look at my notes it doesn’t look like a lot so I add more and now I don’t know what to add... I have there diet, how big they get, how long they live a lot of facts some pictures, the breeds, cage sizes, but I feel like it’s not enough, what else should I add I’m scared I won’t know something (if I ever get piggy’s) and then they’ll get sad or something, and I showed my mom whenever I update my notes and cute pics :)

well my question to you would be, where would you keep them? Are you going to have them on a high up desk, or are you going to keep them in the cage on the floor? If you are going to keep them on the desk then I would not see a problem with having your dog around them. Now, if you put them on the floor, I would make sure that the cage is closed or has a top layer. For times when you want to take them out for lap time, make sure the dog is not around. Animals Purpose i would calmly sit down and explain to your parents that you are responsible and have enough money to support them and try to figure out exactly why they’re getting upset with you. Bring up the fact that all other 10 animals you have are taken care of by you, and they do not need to worry about guinea Pigs or even associate with them at all. Hope this helps an good luck :)

If your parents are getting annoyed with the research that you are doing then maybe talk a little bit less about it. Try to make a powerpoint for them and tell them its for school and you want them to review it and at the end tell them that you really want to adopt a pet. :) hope this helps!
Yee, I currently have a Parrot, Rabbit, 2 pet mice, a snake, a fish, a family dog and kitten (Well... Supposed to be family dog and kitten but Im the one who takes care of them with EVERYTHING and even my dad admits im their favorite human XD) then there's a family cat but he's pretty much my brother's (Just like me with the family dog and kitten) and thats it, but once I don't have a rabbit or mice anymore I wanna get a guinea pig.... Im not sure If Ill be able to get any animal with 'pig' in its name because of my dad (Ill spare you the story for the sake of my life) but Im trying to get less pets now because Im duper busy nowadays and Im starting to be with them less and less and My bird and snake (If they both goes of natural causes, poor girls I hate thinking about the day when I find them.... y'know.. ) Will most likely be with me until im like... older XD. But my rabbits kinda old now, and mice dont live too long, so yea.... I buy my snake's food and my fish's food but other than that my parents buy the other pet's food. Oh yea and thats another thing I'll bring up to them is food. Im hoping they'll pay for it but It'll be less money since its less pets if I can get a guinea pig. And everyone says they stink really bad but my friend has one and she doesn't stink. I've been begging for a year now to get guinea pigs. I stopped for a few months and let them breath. I did a lot of research and I know what cage, food, and type of flooring I want to use. My mom says it is going to make her house look gross and disgusting, and my dad says that the cats will eat it up. I have two cats, and they never try to eat my fish. I know some cats get along with guinea pigs, some don't. I even tried showing them videos of the recuse I want to adopt from. I get As and Bs at school and I'm a good student. They also say I don't take care of my cats often, I feed my cats every night and I do the cat litter every night. I can't do it during school, so my mom has to do it. I believe the guinea pigs don't need care during school, I can just clean the cage, feed them, etc after school or before I go to school. How can I convince my parents?
It seems like you are doing everything in your power to be organized and responsible. Maybe tell them that guinea pigs will not be your parents concern and they will not need to worry about them. Try to find a room in your house where many people do not go into and try to talk to your mom keeping the piggies there ( make sure the room is well lit and is properly ventilated) Best of luck!

I am so sorry you are going through this with your parents. Maybe give them some time and have them think about it. I would try to stress the money aspect of owning them. Tell them they won't have to pay for anything or even look at them if they do not want too.

Supposed to be family dog and kitten but Im the one who takes care of them with EVERYTHING and even my dad admits im their favorite human XD) then there's a family cat but he's pretty much my brother's (Just like me with the family dog and kitten) and thats it, but once I don't have a rabbit or mice anymore I wanna get a guinea pig.... Im not sure If Ill be able to get any animal with 'pig' in its name because of my dad (Ill spare you the story for the sake of my life) but Im trying to get less pets now because Im duper busy nowadays and Im starting to be with them less and less and My bird and snake (If they both goes of natural causes, poor girls I hate thinking about the day when I find them.... y'know.. ) Will most likely be with me until im like... older XD. But my rabbits kinda old now, and mice dont live too long, so yea.... I buy my snake's food and my fish's food but other than that my parents buy the other pet's food. Oh yea and thats another thing I'll bring up to them is food. Im hoping they'll pay for it but It'll be less money since its less pets if I can get a guinea pig. And everyone says they stink really bad but my friend has one and she doesn't stink. Also that won't be a problem even if they do because I have a AC in my room now and it has a fan the sucks air in and puts it out my window and it works really fast. Anyways if I do get one instead of having 6 pets of my own own (Not counting the dog or kitten, and counting both mice) Ill only have 3. Ill have to look up a different video cause this wasnt much of a help, but don't worry Im not disliking XD
Im possibly getting one for my birthday! All i did was look at guinea pigs, get prices and add them up, and tell my mum a month before my bday, saying "i dont want a cake or presents, i only want a guinea pig." And my mum said that if we have enough then we can!!!

My mom and dad say we don't have enough room in my house but then I say in my room on the dresser they say you have a hamster cage and a fish tank on there no room for a gunie pig cage so that is my problem and they say I have to many animals like two dogs a cat a hamster and a fish. I wish this would work for me but I’ve already talked to my parents about it and they still said no. I did my research, told them facts, explained how to clean the cage, what they need to eat, if we could make a deal about the money, but still, no. I have no idea what to do anymore and I really really want one!!

I've been begging for a year now to get guinea pigs. I stopped for a few months and let them breath. I did a lot of research and I know what cage, food, and type of flooring I want to use. My mom says it is going to make her house look gross and disgusting, and my dad says that the cats will eat it up. I have two cats, and they never try to eat my fish. I know some cats get along with guinea pigs, some don't. I even tried showing them videos of the recuse I want to adopt from. I get As and Bs at school and I'm a good student. They also say I don't take care of my cats often, I feed my cats every night and I do the cat litter every night. I can't do it during school, so my mom has to do it. I believe the guinea pigs don't need care during school, I can just clean the cage, feed them, etc after school or before I go to school. How can I convince my parents?
It seems like you are doing everything in your power to be organized and responsible. Maybe tell them that guinea pigs will not be your parents concern and they will not need to worry about them. Try to find a room in your house where many people do not go into and try to talk to your mom keeping the piggies there ( make sure the room is well lit and is properly ventilated) Best of luck!

Avery Parks as sad as it is to say, we can’t save every animal in the world. Unfortunately. If you want to help him keep him in separate cage away from your girl piggies. This decision is hard to make I’m sure. Wish I was more helpful.

My parents will laugh at me every time I ask or tell them things about them and they point to the one dog ive had for YEARS and im so annoyed on that and they say facts about them they don't even know that's is true like they have a strong odor or they only eat vegetables and they tell me im not responsible enough or ill disown it because your a horrible owner and it makes me feel so sad
I am so sorry you are going through this with your parents. Maybe give them some time and have them think about it. I would try to stress the money aspect of owning them. Tell them they won't have to pay for anything or even look at them if they do not want too.
