      @chrisp.3461 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thats the good and bad thing about Ariel. He's not afraid to ask about anything he wants to know.
      But with that, he has a hard time seeing when he's pushed that line, thus has a hard time reading when he should pull back.

    • @Fillegubben

      This is why it was confusing to me when Ariel claimed he didnt push on things or try to get things out of fighters for maximum PR, like Jamahal and others said. It's true, he should just admit to it.

    22:42 I think that’s a really cool detail to think about in the Grasso-Shevchenko fight. You could read the reluctance to tap in the moment, she realized there was no way out and felt defeat for the first time in a really long time.

    I didn't expect Jones to be as big as he was at heavyweight. Who the hell could have known how he'd look? I chose Gane to win based upon evidence available. Reyes being a smaller man than Gane and Jones being unsuccessful wrestling him. Not to mention, Ngannou had wrestling success with Stipe, not just with Gane. Made what Ngannou did to Gane look quite impressive. So I don't feel bad picking Gane to win. I used the evidence available to make a decision. I'm sure many who chose Jones didn't pick Alexa Grasso over Valentina. Can't always get them right. Fun to try anyway.

As for the fight isn't it obvious to all that it was lightening in a bottle type senario that Leon snatched that WW belt, and I hear all the "mental battle" responding to such a brutal KO but if things continued as they were it was 49-46 across the board....it was domination!!a typical Usman lopsided victory. Way too much being made of mental battle due to KO. Usman dominates and gets a finish via KO (g n P)

    I just don’t think gane has the ability to compete with Jones at any point if it hits the mat. I didn’t think he would go for the takedowns so early but I knew it would be over as soon as he did. I think it’s the same if gane fights blaydes or aspinal as well. He had no more than a punchers chance and knockouts have never been his style. He just doesn’t have the grappling chops and has relied on his footwork to avoid takedowns. He has mostly fought strikers as well

  • @ngould2420

    That Bo interview was frustrating honestly. Dude basically said we as viewers have nothing in common with him and no fight experience so we can’t accurately call a blatantly obvious low blow instead of just admitting it was a mistake and it happens. Then tells us to grow up for saying that. Then pushes it further by saying he should be a black belt and that’s how HE finishes arm triangles instead of just saying he’s still learning and despite not using the best technique he still managed to get the finish. I went from a fan of his to a bit annoyed by his lack of accountability

      I agree, he's too laid back to be an effective top MMA dog. Fedor had the same demeanor, but he turns into a straight up killer once inside the ring. Gane could be the Rockhold of the HW division, getting to the top due to his natural talents - size and athleticism.

    I am amazed at all the delusion around Jones being able to beat Stipe. Or even Ngannou. All respect to Stipe, but, if he doesn't realize Jon has been in camp for a long time thinking he might face him, (and/or Francis)he is in for a rude awakening. Bones takes legends VERY seriously. Just look back on his career. He studies tape like a dedicated student of MMA. Beating legends is what motivates Jonny Bones Jones! It's just a fact.

    I respect helwanis mma opinions because hechas been balls deep in the sport forever.... but I can't believe he puts so much on gsps victory over bisping just because belt was involved.
    Bispings fight before that was a split decision to an old #13 ranked and retiring fight for Dan hendo.
    Lost to gsp.
    And 21 days later kod by kg.
    But because of a belt it's this giant win ti him a giys who knows mma so well cmon. Gsp didjt beat any top 5 mw after taht he beat a bisping 1 fight before he retired

    • @aremayo9262
      @aremayo9262 ปีที่แล้ว

      GSP vs the top MWs at the time.
      1. Bisping - easy win
      2. Rockhold - easy win via left hand
      3. Weidman - was never the same post Rockhold. GSP would have won.
      4. Yoel - GSP dies
      5. Rob - GSP has a fair chance at the time as both were former WWs moving up. Rob only really levelled up his striking after his loss to Izzy, so it would probably lean towards GSP given his fight IQ. Current day Rob smokes prime GSP though.
      - Jacare: very risky fight for GSP.
      - The Moose: he would have beaten GSP. Too bad he went to bellator.

    I think until Jon defends his belt against the New guard, against Sergei Pavlovich for example... I won't be satisfied. To beat Stipe at the end of his career is one thing... But to beat an up and coming destroyer like Sergei after... That would just really do it for me. Jon could go off into the sunset after that and id be convinced no one is ever going to be on his level.... But if he JUST beats Stipe and retires ... I won't be as convinced
