Here’s one more way of teleportation he could’ve done:
He cleans up the house and fixes all the furniture, he sits down and watches tv. He flips through the channels and finds Doctor Strange is playing (conveniently on a scene where he’s using his ring) he gets one more idea and goes to the whiteboard and writes “ring”, he goes back to the dealer and gets the ring from him before returning back home. He then looks back at the tv and does exactly what Doctor Strange does and actually opens a portal but not to where he was originally wanting. He opens a portal and out comes Doctor Strange himself, he takes the ring back and goes back through the portal before closing it.
I like it how he can try to find out how to teleport yet he can’t solve math
He solved it eventually
I love how he just writes down these impossible things and with out saying anything you can still tell by his groans, “Why it’s so simple! How didn’t I think of this sooner!”

I've had similar struggles with teleportation. After 198 attempts I finally built a working teleporter. I was trying to get to the Bahamas, but ended up in a completely different dimension. At least I get to hang out with my new sentient interdimensional worm buddies.
