Fluorites are great to collect because you can get gorgeous cabinet sized specimens for amazing prices in comparison to the tourmalines and aquamarines of this world. My favorite specimen I've collected in the last 2 years is a 1.5 kg botryoidal amber fluorite from China for less than $400.
