This video have almost doubled the total of views that it got in 2 years in just a couple of hours thanks to Calvin Harris Tweet! So thank you for stepping here and take your time to listen to this masterpiece that inspired more people than just me and him all along these years!
No need for Calvin Harris. This track was and IS a masterpiece and will be forever connected with Mr. Cerboneschi. A common sense to click and hear it again. #justsayin
I was 19 when I saw the video of this song on MTV Europe when they just played random songs all night. Immediately fell into ecstasy! Made a note of the artist and title on a piece of paper. I couldn't sleep and ran to a record store the next morning. I was sure they wouldn't have it but I thought I could at least order it. My heart was jumping. They had it! I still can't believe they did. In a small record store in Budapest! One of my favourite songs ever since. Been the soundtrack of friendships, relationships, road trips and endless number of parties. So grateful!
I was 16. I saw the video in MTV while living in Ushuaia, Argentina, 1000km from Antarctica. It blew a hole in my head. The tune kept running in my mind for the next week and I would ran like crazy through the corridor if they were playing the video again.
Wow...... I remember years ago, playing this and mixing in Alan Braxe, Fred Falke - Intro...... The two sit together so sweetly. Memories..... Where the hell does time go
Who remembers the first time they heard this? The electricity the second time, third time, 10th time, 100th time, 1000th time? Timeless stuff right here. Those stabby beats, the sampling, this track had it all. Nothing short of mind-blowing. I was about 13 when it came out and I first heard it.
Cassius, the "crème de la crème" of house, 20 years! Phillipe Zdar, thanks for so many house masterpieces. Your songs shall live forever. RIP. Condolences to the family and friends. We are with you, Boom Bass. Cassius forever!
I´ve listned to Cassius for about 9 months now. I first heard the Radio version of this song and discovered this extended version not so long after. I love French House, this version of the song makes me speachless, this is beutifull, this is art. God bless you Hubert Boombass and Philippe Zdar. I'm still 20 years later listening to your music in my house.
Rest In Peace, thanks to this masterpiece I knew there was a scene called French House, and put a name on it other than daft punk. Brilliant mind, Brilliant sample, brilliant french touch, you will be missed forever.
Thought i'd add a bit about how this track influenced me. I'm 41 now but in my 20's I used to DJ in a small club in Cornwall. I was always a backup DJ and generally first on, I remember picking out this vinyl in a tiny music shop in Truro of all places and played it that night as my opening track at the club I played in. It was without doubt the best reaction i've ever had to a track. 10pm and the club was rocking. Thanks Philippe for giving me one of my best ever experiences as a DJ.
@@838beb nice mate! I remember my early dj years back when I was about 15 hunting for this track, only had it on CD untill I met a guy a new job who collected house records, he had this gem sitting there and never played it, that legend gave it to me and since its been sitting with my other specials. It was such a good track that us speed garage boys used to argue with the house lads that it was garage not house hahaha 😆 great times. Great tune. Big ups brother!
@@hogey74 haha yeah that b line is so funky aye! Gem of a record. I was about 13 when it came out lol still remember dancing around house before school lol. Stay well Bro! 🔥
You know what always bugged me about the sample credit to this? It lists the song “Love Is Just A Breath Away”, performed by Donna Summer. It’s not, though. I used to listen to that album on LP when I was a little kid in the mid-80’s, and it’s actually the song RIGHT BEFORE that one: “(If It) Hurts Just a Little”. So if anybody wants to hear the original song, go to that one instead.
Just discovered "Phillipe Zdar" Cassius video! Will definitely add it to my playlist on my discovery of this genre of music. Thank-you Calvin Harris for your tweet! Truly our work is what we leave behind; let's all get behind worthy projects to the Glory of God our Creator!
A huge thanks for sharing this HQ version, the best ever according to me. Still bumping 20 years after. Always a pleasure to see people listening to Boom Bass and our regretted Zdar.
Me encanta tu canal amigo! Saludos desde Costa Rica que triste la muerte de philipe se me pareció a la de Mehdi, después de todo somos solo seres humanos, su legado vivirá a través de su música, un genio Cassius forever! 😍
Thanks @Good Old Music !! I didn't know that id died ... so sad, a so much good artist !!! Always stay in my heat for the songs & video clips : "The sound of violence" & "La mouche" (you have to see these !!)

Friggin love this reply! Absolute tune! Miss Mtv, miss the 90s, miss the music!
Awesome memory! I had the same experience when I first heard RED ALERT by Basement Jax at a club. To my surprise the music store had the cd single.
This song is still such a banger in 2023! Loved it when it came out and will probably love it indefinitely!

I noticed that looking at info on Discogs. They credit the wrong Donna song.
