Awesome informative vid - thanks very much! I've just bought a HiTech 6" with extra discs for Opal cutting and have found so far the difference between using a cabbing wheel machine is quite large! I think gravity is the factor i'm not used to - on wheels you need to push (if only just a tiny amount) on flat lap gravity does that for you and you almost need to resist it sometimes.
The All-U-Need and Slant Cabber both serve the same purpose, they are lap machines that grind and polish rocks, glass, metals and synthetic material. The only difference between these two lap machines is their design. The Slant Cabber has a unique, angled design that allows for easy viewing while you work. You can even sit while you work on the Slant Cabber! The All-U-Need has a horizontal design that gives you an overhead view while you work. Our most popular size is our 8" models, as you can polish larger materials on it. We would suggest, if your budget allows, to order the 8" size.
Like Hi-Tech said if the 8” is within your budget I’d also highly recommend it over the 6”. It’s always good to have the extra room.. plus you never know when you may want to polish a geode a kid or grand kids 😜.
So I have been trying to find some ideas on how to clean the lap discs like the 220, 600, ect.. I’ve searched online, here on TH-cam and haven’t found much of anything. What do y’all recommend to clean them?
While you don't need to necessarily clean the smoothing discs, we do recommend rinsing them with clean water and spin drying them on your machine after use to increase longevity
Our diamond pastes are made with a strong concentrate of high quality diamonds suspended in an oil-based carrier except for the 14,000#, 50,000# and 100,000# pastes, these are made with a water-based carrier.
@@pedrogallardo8434 The All-U-Need can cab and grind flat surfaces on stones, but it can't grind flat surfaces to the level of preciseness that faceting requires. Those machines are much more advanced and are very expensive.
You can use water, but it is not required. We recommend using a small drip when polishing material that is heat sensitive (due to the friction that builds) or can easily be fractured.
Any faceter i know suggests at least a slight drip when polishing. A little cerium or diamond pasts is cheaper than the risk of your time and your work if you're not a B/A at dry polishing. I was taught with a little water by several different folks and it works very well. Either work but wet always works
How does this machine work with shaping and polishing other shaped cabs? I like doing non-symmetrical cabs...does it work okay or is it better for round cabs?
Should work fine for asymmetrical pieces. The design of this machine makes it a slow process for working cabs, but the price point is good and you can polish flats fairly easily.

Hai apakah cakram pemoles itu diamond wheel atau amplas abrasive?🙏🙏🙏
I enjoyed your video. Do you need too wear a mask with the Tigers Eye, as it contains asbestos?
Thanks! While a mask is not required, the person in this video did wear a mask while working with the Tigers Eye.
Which is better for polishing cabochon the slanted machine or flat one? Also to polish relatively jewelry size stones do u need 8" or is 6" enough?

How long did you guys spend on each stage of the grinding/polishing process with the cab made in this video?
On average, we spent 10 minutes on each stage of the grinding/polishing process for this Tiger's Eye cabochon.
Buen día , venden los discos de Pulido y lapidado , gracias por su tiempo

Machine looks Nice. But I Was wondering if You have a model of machine for faceting?
Thanks! No, we do not have a model for faceting.
@@HiTechDiamond only for cabs?

Ps you use what type of glue to hold the rock on? Thanks
You can use dop wax or super glue
When you use the water based pastes do you allow water to drip?

It's excellent for both non-symmetrical cabs and round cabs.

You use wooden dowels ?
Yes, these are wood dop sticks
