I simply can't stop myself watching these Sachin's 'smash'terpieces of Coca-Cola semifinal and final in Sharjah (1998). I always watch these innings frequently enough as and when I like (Maybe 2-3 times every month). The desert storm match is indeed a Tony-Sachin Storm in reality as they both rule throughout and light up the atmosphere to heavenly level. The 'No follow through sixer' shot of Sachin Tendulkar to Michael Kasprowicz in 45th over of finals is of such incredible finesse that no other player, till date, has dared to play that way, and I'm sure that no one will ever play this shot in future! Moreover, Tony's words of 'Oh.. That is high... What a Six... What a Six...Way down the ground... It's dancing around on the roof...' have made this shot an ageless and immortal one. Of all the revolution India has gone through, Sachin revolution would always stand in the top 10..what else you want if a single man can give you 1000s of happy days with so much of pressure on him. If we get a time machine, I am sure 90s kids will certainly go back n watch Sachin again n again
90s was all about Sachin. When Sachin got out, we knew it was over so we used to turn off our tv after that. S He only started to get a good team after 2000s but still he was the one who carrying the team in 2000s too.
This was the time to be alive on cricket.Every win was a history. We were always an under dog.The cricket team had lot of pressure. It was a national celebration.Thank GOD for the 80s and 90s.The only cricketer I live in the 2000s is MSD.
sachin got out when india were at 244. 18 balls 32 needed.. and they get 5 runs in remaining 3 overs.Sachin was really ahead of his generation . always wanted to win..
That was memorable innings of Sachin.. whole team were depend on him those days(from 1991 to 2007)..When he out india need 32 runs in 18balls and 5 wickets in hand very much achievable task but no one tried to win the game ...
Difference between Kohli and sachin is that other than sachin there was no other good batsmen in the team at his prime, otherwise india Could have won lot more matches. However todays Kohli has a company of lot other good batsmen who supports him and help to make matches win. :)
Yes it was always a same story whenever sachin was out team lost, I mean no other player had confidence they all used to look up to sachin so that he finish the match till end and he used to do that too but he is human too and cant do it everytime. It was only later in 2000 that dravid, yuvraj and ganguly started scoring but in 90s sachin had to do himself.
Loved him! There's no one who could bring a match alive by his commentary alone. These two matches are remembered equally for Tony's commentary as well as Sachin's innings!
I really miss this man's batting..when he was there I didn't understand what we will miss. Done so much for cricket lovers and helped Indian cricket along the way. He will be above Bradman in my opinion because of what he had to overcome and play. He will be above Lara because of the immense pressure he handled. The 40:34 look at his dugout is something I remember and wanted to do if I ever reached 50 lol..
A 50 over match with quality of bowlers Australians had this is incomparable, the happiness this innings brings in even today when I watch it is same when I was a 12 year old kid..
we could have won that 2008 test series if not for bucknor. that test was a shocker and i think bucknor did a record by giving nearly 8 bad decisions all against india. may be he lost his hearing. what do u reckon guys?

I have a teary eyes watching this episode. Can’t explain what sachin means to us. Even though he scored centuries for country, we lost the games and he is called selfish. But what other players were doing? Why they never raised their games? If they were not good, why they are not questioned?
Now we don't feel like watching cricket without Sachin, The one and the Only Pride Of India. Great are those days till to date with Sachin on the field, batting, bowling or fielding, with his simple, smiling, gentle, quite and calm personality without exaggerated expressions. Blessed child of God. Regards and my blessings to him. Uma
What an innings, still goosebumps seeing this match , fresh memories even after 22 years. But still some compare him,he is not a good finisher.how can you expect a opener to finish all the games, its the rest of the team to carry forward the momentum set by sachin sir....Great player, great human, great n grit determination till his retirement for 24 years, something very unique, that's why ,he is called God of Cricket.

All Australian were down on the ground and even non striker I think Laxman was looking down also. Only Sachin was facing the dessert storm courageously and walking calmly on the pitch. He himself was Bigger than that Dessert Storm.
In the first match, India just added 6 runs after Tendulkar got out in 3 overs without losing wicket. The look on Sachin's face after getting out tells that he knew this would happen. Steve Waugh said We lost against Sachin. That's true.

I was in class 2 ..Those were golden days were we used to go neighbour's house and watch cricket on TV . Simple days those were. No netflix no amazon nothing Life was fun back then
Tony Grieg.......great respect as a commentator. What a commentator.......as for Sachin's twin strikes, it is for the history books. Oh and Bucknor should have been sacked for that one decision.
my goodness that runout chance at 6:14, if it went Australia's way, would've robbed us of this piece of history. It's rarely you see a batsman absolutely in the zone.
People who say that Sachin was not a finisher, they were right. Sachin wasn't supposed to finish matches. He was an opener, his job was to bring the team into a position from where others could finish it off, but they never did. Look at the way Sachin paced his innings after the century - 100 in 111 balls, 143 in 131 balls. This is the precise reason why Sachin patiently played for his 100's because if he could stay that long, 90% of the match was already over. He didn't play for his records, he played this way because there wasn't anyone who'd support him.
In group Australia won all 4 matches. India just won one and lost three (twice to Australia). Similar for NZ. Australia were the Champions. They would have won that Cup easily. But only man stood in between them. Sachin Tendulkar and he literally took it off after the Desert Storm and into the finals.
The fact Sachin played two of the best innings ever.. and then also bowled and got wickets. If that's not God what is ? And get this, 3 years back he was still hitting all time greats for 6's and 4's and got multiple 50s in T20 matches. He just never wants to do anything else. He bats and never stops. And then understand this, the last innings, he was actually not even out when he was given out. He knew it, the Aussies knew it. Sachin did not wait for a second. He walked off.. That's discipline. No bowler wants to find out what Sachine would have done with DRS. No one.. literally.. He would have made 200 hundreds otherwise.
He was not a batsman. He was an artist in disguise. He was not batting. He was creating a masterpiece art.He didn't force. He flowed. He was not showing techniques. He was not stroking the balls. He was feeling the balls with the bat which was an extension of his hands and heart. He was expressing beauty. He was, in fact, a poet,a painter and a connoisseur with the bat. What sets him apart from the rest is his techniques which was perfectly blessed with beauty. With in him techniques and beauty met.And he carried that perfect combination for as long as he got everyone addicted to him.If there is a poet who wants to paint cricket he will write about Sachin. If there is a painter who wants to paint cricket he will paint Sachin. 90s was all about Sachin. When Sachin got out, we knew it was over so we used to turn off our tv after that. S
He only started to get a good team after 2000s but still he was the one who carrying the team in 2000s too.
This was the time to be alive on cricket.Every win was a history. We were always an under dog.The cricket team had lot of pressure. It was a national celebration.Thank GOD for the 80s and 90s.The only cricketer I live in the 2000s is MSD.
SACHIN TENDULKAR, India's gift to cricket! A TRUE gentleman, for the gentleman's game.
sachin got out when india were at 244. 18 balls 32 needed.. and they get 5 runs in remaining 3 overs.Sachin was really ahead of his generation . always wanted to win..
That was memorable innings of Sachin.. whole team were depend on him those days(from 1991 to 2007)..When he out india need 32 runs in 18balls and 5 wickets in hand very much achievable task but no one tried to win the game ...
see the happiness of people, that's what sachin meant to us ... nobody should dare to comparison him ♥
Difference between Kohli and sachin is that other than sachin there was no other good batsmen in the team at his prime, otherwise india Could have won lot more matches. However todays Kohli has a company of lot other good batsmen who supports him and help to make matches win. :)
you are 100% right.... Sachin have to do by himself...
no doubt, Azhar and jadeja were world best batsman but unfortunately they sold themselves in the prime matches .
Yes I agree they were good batsmen but You cant compare them with the kind of support players kohli have now like- MSD, Rohit Sharma, Raina
Yes I agree they were good batsmen but You cant compare them with the kind of support players kohli have now like- MSD, Rohit Sharma, Raina
What a fantastic couple of innings.
BTW: I appreciate your shout out to Tony Grieg. I loved his commentary!
Loved him! There's no one who could bring a match alive by his commentary alone. These two matches are remembered equally for Tony's commentary as well as Sachin's innings!
really miss him..
the Dust storm makes it a lot more poetic ..
Will you pls share the video of the match stopped due to the desert storm
@@sarathkennady8021 ww😜🥓🥕🥝🍈zwa🌯😜🍅🍍d😁😁😁
Wow... The first scoreboard-india -250/5 and sachin alone 142.....more than half of the score scored alone by sachin...👏👏
Oh that last pic is just out of this world!!! We love you 3000 Tony!!!!
Sachin the only reason I watched cricket.
A 50 over match with quality of bowlers Australians had this is incomparable, the happiness this innings brings in even today when I watch it is same when I was a 12 year old kid..
If Sachin Would have killed Steve Bucknor with that straight short, We would have won SYD Test 2008 ;)
hahaha. so true buddy. 😂😂
after that series he never came back for umpiring . chutia umpire in the history of cricket.
Jaggadaku जजो
we could have won that 2008 test series if not for bucknor. that test was a shocker and i think bucknor did a record by giving nearly 8 bad decisions all against india. may be he lost his hearing. what do u reckon guys?

I'd love to share the following to all Sachin fans.
My list of Sachin's all-time best sixes (which I can recall now) -
Most difficult first...
1. Midwicket almost pull shot off Chaminda Vaas in 1996 World Cup ( this is almost as good as Viv Richards sigma hitting to legendary Jeff Thomson !!! )
2. Majestic hook shot off Glenn McGrath most certainly in ICC Champions Trophy 2000 at Nairobi, and the evergreen Sachin hook shot off Andrew Caddick in 2003 World Cup
3. The No follow through legendary straight six to Michael Kasprowicz in 1998 Coca Cola Cup Sharjah Final (The Kohli backfoot straight long on six at MCG against Pakistan on 23rd October 2022 is the closest scenic shot after Viv Richards ultimate decimated sixes and this Sachin blaster sixes, the reason for this six at third position is that it was struck against a relatively slow delivery to the 2nd one)
4. First six of th-cam.com/video/r6V6d7HKCWI/w-d-xo.html and 0:47 six to Michael Kasprowicz in Coca Cola Cup Sharjah semifinal th-cam.com/video/aMubYAbRbgc/w-d-xo.html
5. The sheer impossible shot at 14:00 of th-cam.com/video/pZyCZeq_gZg/w-d-xo.html ( Although it's not a six, it almost reached the rope hence I've included here. Any other batsman apart from 1970s 80s legends would have been dead or permanently injured had he tried this. I can bet no batsman has and no one will ever play this impossible shot, extremely life-threatening !!! )
NOTE :
I really wonder how can any human be even alive after hard hitting such life-threatening sixes !!! Unfortunately most of these shots led to his tennis elbow and other serious injuries.
THIS FACT ITSELF (THAT THIS MAN IS ALIVE EVEN AFTER SUCH HARD AND GLORIOUS SHOTS DISPLAY) MAKES HIM DISTINGUISHED FROM MERE HUMANS.....
HE HAS TO BE THE ALMIGHTY OF GODS !!!!!!!!
All readers, kindly comment about and add any others of your favorite best Sachin sixes.
SALUTES TO THIS GOD.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
143 is my favorite innings by Sachin....ever
He singlehandedly won the tournament for the team..man to man Australia were a far superior team to India in the 90s..
Anyone in this lock down, what an entertainer, best absolutely best, Sachin u simply made our childhood special,, hats off
Steve buckner always gives out to sachin even its clearly seen going out of off stumps
oh my God ,,,what a match it was !!!! it was memorable moments for mike kasprowics of australia to end up his best starting in ODI,,,nothing but unforgettable innings
Uma
That is Sachin the man of world records
Special Inning 143 By Great Tendulkar.
Untill I Breath. No body can take Place Infront of this Inning.
apna to ek hi hisaaab tha - Sachin out, to TV bandh!!! :D
Absolutely 👍
Apna hisab aur bhi aage tha....Sachin retired, Cricket band...
Apna bhi wahi hai bhai log, aaj bhi Unke matches ki hi highlights dekhta rehta hu.
cricket means sachn tendulkar..i only used to see sachin tendulkar batting...now i stoped already to watch match....sachin sir miss u
लगभग 35 + बार गलत या विवादित रूप से Out दिया गया था God of cricket Sachin sir को ।

Highest run scorer in the series Sachin 434. 2nd highest Michael Bevan 276. Tells how much Sachin had impact on this series.
Two great innings of the highest quality..Also missing the commentary of Tony Greg that will always be remembered with this innings.
Well this was the greatest odi innings all time (twice) only cause it came against the best team of all time .
Salute Sachin .
God level Innings....
I pity his haters
Sachin Tendulkar best batter ever to set foot on planet earth
What a wonderful player.... Sachin Tendulkar. What a wonderful commentator...Tony Greig. What a worthless umpire..Steve Bucknor.
Steve waugh sums up well in the end , we had got every other player covered but he won it single handedly ..
Ye dono match live dekhe the sharjha mein. Buhat chota tha tb main likan match yaad hain k sachin jitwae the. Yaad hy k1998 mein tha month April mere khayal se tb ticket thi local stand ki 30 Dirham or Friday wale din 60 Dirham
All Australian were down on the ground and even non striker I think Laxman was looking down also. Only Sachin was facing the dessert storm courageously and walking calmly on the pitch. He himself was Bigger than that Dessert Storm.
These two innings are what made me fan of cricket and sachin. Ever since then, i started to watch and follow cricket.
Can you believe he was only 25 years age and already played 187 ODI matches 😍
one of the greatest innings played by best....
God. Sachin. Sir. Ki
2. Dhamakedar. Inning
Sabse. Dangerous. Bowler. K. Khilaf
20:57 Sachin ki batting hie aisi thi ke tufaan utha diya Sachin ne...
Really gr8 ...Bravo man.
Greatest betsman ever Sachin Tendulkar
Thank you Steve Bucknor!
For not judging wrong decision against him that night
In the first match, India just added 6 runs after Tendulkar got out in 3 overs without losing wicket. The look on Sachin's face after getting out tells that he knew this would happen. Steve Waugh said We lost against Sachin. That's true.
SACHIN IS GREATTTT.....SACHIN IS GOD!!!
that is why we are calling. him,God. of cricket.
remembers my childhood days we were in summer vacation during this series, unforgettable match.
Sachin Tendulkar master blaster bestmen shahjahan super inning great inning great finish Mari aankh ma Ashu abhi gaya aatu my name is Australia australian cricket fen
Who is dislike this video . He/she world No1 baddest person 🤪🤪🤪🤪
The best one day inning in the history of Cricket.
Waugh brothers are so good looking
One of the gretest innings and classs shots of two inning in criket history, topp class batting by Sachin
I just want to thank you for taking the time to all such great work and post these amazing videos on Cricket matches. I watch a lot of Cricket and yours is by far the best hands down for matches involving India. Keep up the good work. Will definitely subscribe to your channel.
Awesome Sachin. Superb commentator and nice presenter.
1237th time am wtching this highlights..still counting👍
Well it's better to watch Tendulkar's batting instead of today's live game.
I was in class 2 ..Those were golden days were we used to go neighbour's house and watch cricket on TV .
Simple days those were.
No netflix no amazon nothing
Life was fun back then
please ignore all below comments because Kohli was watching this match with popcorns..and he became Virat only because of this innings....
1st 100 officially came in losing cause but for me Sachin was winner, its a cherished memory......
Super man sachin tendulkar I miss you
Watching this highlight today April 24th 2022 to cherish those beautiful memories of the iconic cricketer Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar... Take a bow 🙌
27 YEARS..I WATCHED THIS MATCH ON TV..
I MAD AT THIS INNINGS ❤❤❤
sachin batting and Tony grieg commentary at its best
Baap of cricket...with the best commentator
Back then it was originally called the "Sand Storm" innings, because he turned it on right after the break they took for the sand storm.
God of cricket ❤❤ Sachin
This is what made me fall in love with cricket as a five year old kid
In group Australia won all 4 matches. India just won one and lost three (twice to Australia). Similar for NZ. Australia were the Champions. They would have won that Cup easily. But only man stood in between them. Sachin Tendulkar and he literally took it off after the Desert Storm and into the finals.
crowd going crazy...loved it
legend at work...
Brilliant batting of sachin tendulkar excellent innings.
Still got tears 😭 on my eyes...
Out hone ka baad sab Public ka khade ho kar sachin ko respect dena batata hai
Sachin kya tha indian cricket ke liye .
the god of cricket
