From my experience 24bit bit depth is discernable from 16bit, not so much 44.1kHz versus 48kHz sample rate, with good headphones and DAC. Best I can describe it, the music sounds more 3D.

The FLAC files are 24 bit, essentially hi-res.. higher quality than CD and they sound amazing
Maybe sounds crazy, but I’ve got seven of them. Including two Japanese set (they are still sealed). Only two are opened. 😌

They should reissue both mono and stereo mixes box sets. Mine were stolen and I surely miss'em.
Unless you’re referring to the vinyl sets or want them sealed, both CD sets can be obtained for relatively little money. Just be careful of fakes.

they missed out on offering a higher Samplerate or at the very least less peak-lited tracks. There isn't much point from a sonical perspective.
