Congratulations to you and your new bride! I have been wanting to get a tuna and try canning it. But now I see how easy it is I'm going to do it. I'm canning for just my husband and me now. Daddy passed away in December. I sure got a lot of good recipes from you to help make life easier for him. I'm glad you are back.
Hey thanks!! I've been thinking about canning fish. Personally, I'm not a big fan of fish; but I like to supplement the cats diet with real protein. So I'll have this on the shelf for lean times. Great job!
Carp is not bad canned. I would prepare the canned carp as fish cakes- egg, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, salt and pepper and fry to eat. The bones are not a problem. They get soft. Another option is canning smoked carp with a few slices of jalapeno, and a table spoon of real maple syrup.
Thanks for watching; yes, I have had carp before and I like it. Just have to remember to take out the mud stripe. Probably won't try canning the fish cakes though; I'm not a big fan of canning anything with mayonnaise. Not saying it can't be done 😁 Smoked carp with jalapeno, now that's a real possibility! Thanks for the ideas!

Thank you. By all means give it a try; I think you'll like it.
I’ve never canned anything, but that fish sure looks delicious! You do a great job of canning those fillets!
Thanks Linda. It is good! My dad grew up on a farm and started gardening and canning when we got back stateside from Spain. I learned from him.

Thank you and thanks for watching! I did the same for my dogs with some old freezer burned pork; got to take care of our furry friends.
