  • This is my third visit to the Florida Flywheelers February show and the first time I have camped on site. This was a primitive camp for our Kodiak and I used the generator most of the time to keep the batteries charged and AC going. Because I had such a beautiful spot under the big oak trees, I was not able to take full advantage of the new solar system. But I have been monitoring that and it seems to be working great!
    The Flywheelers show is a great place for anyone interested in old tractors engines, antiques, tractor pulls, and all things vintage. They have an old steam powered saw mill, historical village, huge swap meet, the famous Snow engine, tractor parades and so much more to list here. It's a fun event great for everyone and I really enjoyed my visit this year. I enjoyed camping out in the back field, cooking with mom and hanging out with a lot off my TH-cam friends. I helped host a TH-cam lunch one of the days and put on one of my Low Country Boils for the group! Turned out great too! Lots of fun was had by all!

    Sorry I didn't get to shake hands this event. I was there on Friday and hotels were an issue to come back on Saturday. I was certainly not prepared for the size and attendance of this venue. I will be better prepared next time and hopefully run into you during a meet and greet. By the way, thus far, you have the best video of the grounds and attractions at the event. Thanks.

    Good times. Thanks for bringing us along.

    It's a great show but there are WAY to many golf carts and side by sides kicking up dust on Saturday. Everyone there was very friendly. I walked about 75 percent of it and I was done. It's a huge meet. Very enjoyable.

    • @corydriver7634
      @corydriver7634 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see what you mean about the golf carts, even parking right up next to an exhibit where foot traffic couldn’t get in. I could see where they’d save a lot of time but annoying just the same.

    What a fun and VERY interesting video, thank you very much for doing this. I go to a couple of John Deere 2-cylinder and steam tractor shows here in Oklahoma, where they have the same types of demos going on all day long. They are so much fun and I spend all day watching and visiting with folks. Well done, Adam!

I love all the old stuff, the hit & misses, the saws etc. I especially love the 2 person large flywheel car, it's so unique! Thanks once again & I must get to try some of your awesome food one day (I've only been to the States the 1 time, the experience was awesome! ) Cheers!

    Cool show!! like to travel to it one day!! My late father in law was into the hit-n-miss engines. I have a couple of his now. My Brother in law and I are planning a trip to the Eastern shore show in August. Looking forward to going, haven't been there in 4 years! That is if gas isn't too much more then! This show is now on the radar to go to! Thanks for sharing!!

      What’s the purpose of coming here and leaving a smart mass comment about the demonstration of heritage equipment? There’s certainly a world full of people who appreciate getting to see it in operation.

      That's what they had before the chainsaw was invented.
      I don't think the bandsaw had even been invented, yet.
      In defense of the owner, I don't think the blade had been sharpened, either.

    • @porkpie2884
      @porkpie2884 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AbomAdventures I've enjoyed looking at the old equipment you've showed us on this video Adam. The purpose of my comment was humour. 😃 It was a joke based upon the apparent slowness of the cut. Obviously not to be taken literally as I'm sure even the earliest of saws didn't take 3 months to cut a log ;)

    • @porkpie2884
      @porkpie2884 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@imdeplorable2241 I know. I guessed a dull blade. I was just making a joke, but not everyone shares the same sense of humour. That's OK :)
