In the newer 2 Maleficent movies, she got a back story and actually cared. So it depends on which Maleficent you're talking about-
Actually maleficent is a nice person.......aurora’s father (the king) killed a man who maleficent loved a lot.....they both loved each other......so technically maleficent was good but she became bad after he killed but she was always good at heart and later she even loved Aurora as her daughter......
