This was the most biased video I have ever watched. Defiantly buying the book now. Thanks Vanity Fair!
Same.
Go ahead and waste your money on that idiotic rag of a book then. Your loss.
This is a sign you are a servile cult member.

this "review" of his book turned into a propaganda fest real quick XDXD
Will Smith as always.
You're suggesting they didn't plan on attacking Trump with political intent, it just happened by accident?
Just REAL CEOs giving their opinions.
the ironic part is that Howard Kaminsky and Tony Schwartz (publisher and author of The Art of the Deal) said that trump didnt even play a role in writing the book... and honestly hes the one who's laughing, the book sold over 1million copies and is only getting more press
@Awsometime agreed, the book (ignoring who wrote it) was filled with pretty solid advice, with some obviously outdated information, which is expected of a book first published in 1987
Could have just said "Orange Man Bad" and be done with it.
He's totally right about the press
Thanks Vanity for recommending the book. Won't have bothered otherwise. Good read indeed.
Trump wrote this book in 1987. What were these people doing back then? Just starting out and making mistakes. These concepts were fresh and bold back in a time where things were very "by the book" and followed strict structures of power.
What were you doing in 1987?
Trump didn’t write this book
I am now going to read "The Art of the Deal" thanks to Vanity Fair's biased review.

No need to read the entire book when you can quote excerpts out of context based on your bias
Right Find stupid quote in the book expand it out to make it seem like it’s the whole book there you go
Also they are trying to critique someone who is Emil lions richer than most of these people
well the quotes exemplify Donald's strategy as a politician and a businessman. Especially the part about hyperbole and exaggeration. The guy rarely ever tells the straight truth, he speaks in half truths and exaggerated truths and some people (his supporters) don't ever circle back to see if he was accurate or not. Sometimes he also just lies about something like when he claimed Obama was born in Kenya.
You don't need a book to know he is an incompetent fraud .
Yep like they do with the Quran and bible .
“Let’s grab a bunch of CEO’s who have bad history with trump and hate his guts, and lets ask them what they think of his book!”
Joon Gamer Asking the majority of Americans would end up with similar answers. The majority of this country believe trump to be a jackass. You Trumptards are f’in morons too stupid to see that so you only follow the jackass blindly because you aren’t capable of having a brain to think logically.
choiboi2 I’m only about common sense and logic. Not a huge trump fan but anyone with an actual brain can see that Hillary Clinton was a corrupt human being. I’m a huge gay rights activist and saw her interviews from 8 years ago saying she is against gay marriage. Additionally, Donald trumps book is one of the most well known books of all time. You will not get anywhere talking shit about it.
Joon Gamer people do change their minds. About something like gay marriage it is not surprising whatsoever that a lot of people have changed their minds the last 50 years, isn't that the goal?
Bex Ed yes you’re right they do change their minds. But most politicians do it for the votes and anyone with common sense can sniff it out.
Joon Gamer I know politicians may do it to be more popular, but even if that is the case, if it results in them stating "I support gay rights", and policy for gay rights, then that's a change of mind I accept, even if it wouldn't be a true change of heart. If they say "I support gay rights" and then hurt the cause through rhetoric and policy, then that is unacceptable bullshit.
Though I don't like the man, this is a bit disengenuous.
Why do people not seem to realize that this man keeps consistently succeeding at his goals despite people thinking he's an idiot. Obviously he knows something that the rest of us don't and yet people can't seem to be able to put their egos to the side long enough to really understand his success. At the end of the day they don't want to understand, they just want to feel superior and not admit their jealousy over a successful person who doesn't fit the mold of what they were taught a successful person is supposed to look like.
His lessons without jumping to extremes.
1)Don't get terrified into inaction by being unwilling to take risk. Sometimes you have to be willing to pull the trigger without worrying too much about the future. Analysis is good but if you over analyze you will drive yourself crazy.
2)Most press is good press. Even if you do something unpopular, having people's attention is still better than obscurity because it can be leveraged in your favor. Celebrities do this all the time(Eminem) and even though some people won't like you there will always be people who like you for having the balls to stand out.
3)Truthful exaggeration is used all the time by politicians and businesses, but they won't go on the record to admit it. Most of the time we are flooded with ads that lie to us, but we accept it as normal. Do body sprays literally get you laid like a rockstar? No. Does that mean body sprays are evil and unsustainable? No. So then how do you expect to compete with such grand claims in a noisy marketplace when you aren't willing to do the same?
4)Nobody likes bureaucracy and it's obviously an inefficient and slow way to get answers. Trump doesn't force people to come to him with every little problem to seek his approval. If they have questions he makes himself available to answer those questions which is surprisingly humble considering most leaders look for ways to be less accessible so that they don't have to deal with you.
5)Don't be a pushover. There aren't too many ways to misinterpret this and yet the man in this video finds a way to twist it into implying that Trump always fights for the wrong things. If someone tries to screw you, that IS injustice and meanness but you can't worry about injustice against others without first taking care of yourself. By blindly listening to the speaker who "sounds nice" you become a pushover to someone else's morality.
I personally CANNOT wait for "The Art Of The Whitehouse." Feburary 2024

@moosak100 Speaking of lying, I am certain you've never read the book whereas I've read it 3 times and as a businessman this book has been very useful.
Here and there, winning is winning just losing is losing, which I am sure you are very much familiar with.
In the case of Trump, he managed to become President despite having half of the Republican party, all the DNC, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, CNN, MSNBC, New York times, Washington Post , The Pope, 2 former Mexican President, half of Europe against him and 1/3 of the budget Hillary Clinton had for campaigning working AGAINST HIM and still managed to WIN.
Morons like you said, "he is just a clown, he'll never even try to fulfill his campaign promises"....surprise surprise, that's all Trump does every day, working on meeting up those promises despite the opposition. That's why people follow him and trust him, because so far in 2.5 years has managed to fulfill MOST of his campaign promises and still works on achieving the rest...Do you understand that concept? Usually losers don't
Another big help which has allowed him to keep winning is morons like you, all these leftist who think Open Borders is a great idea, that Medicare for all is doable than the Green New Deal is actually something serious....lol Thanks for the help ....

well if we take trumps own maesure of succes wich is money, at least mark cuban has accomplished far more then he has.
Jason Drake 1) He’s not worth $7 billion. It’s not even close. Forbes estimates somewhere between $3-4 billion, but we should keep in mind that he has a long track record of lying to Forbes and inflating his wealth. He is likely worth far, far less. Why else is he refusing to release his tax returns.
2) Experts have studied this and found that Trump would be worth more today if he had just invested all of his inheritance in a stock market index (say, the S&P 500) instead of his businesses. That’s a pretty pathetic track record,
3) Inflation and appreciation in real estate markets over time make this sound more impressive than it is.
Also, Mark Cuban is probably richer than Trump.

:ToggleSwitch: right, I agree with all of that. Thats fine. But my point is just that everyone making fun of how “dumb” he is, is dangerous. Its an over simplification. The conversation we need to have is the one you and I just started having.
So now, we can have a discussion about what is a leader, who and how do we want our leaders to be. Like you said, the alternative was not well liked. That discussion can move society forward to ensure our future leaders are as qualified as possible. To say we dont like him is fine. To say he is dumb is fine (but incorrect in my opinion), but both of those are less productive than moving on to how we want our leaders to be. If we discuss how, perhaps we can more objectively determine then, who, fits the description best. My bet is it would not be any of the conventional options.
