    Just refound this song after years of not listening. One of my favorite intros to any song. So beautiful and intricate

    It's pretty insane that they just get better and better with every album in terms of songwriting. When Atlas Novus dropped I thought that that was probably the pinnacle of modern prog considering single songs, though I prefer The Collective as… a collective. Yet V came together and smashed everything for me. Album of the year, and remember that it dropped the same year as the Juggernauts.

    This is my personal opinion.. But, I do however think that every album that Scale The Summit has released after Monument, is fantastic. Release after release, they have improved their progressive metal prowess and ventured further into the space of instrumental and advanced metal. Not to drag this out, I do believe that Scale The Summit have truly overcome all of their previous records and delievered a sensational and gripping album that may, more or less epitomize their sound; with the release of "V". Bravo guys, I just got my copy on vinyl today!

      @dannyzep92 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Brady MatthewBradyQueen I agree with you. I remember first hearing Carving Desert Canyons after it first came out and I was blown away by how technical yet melodic it was and the Collective raised that bar and somehow doing it again and again for The Migration and V. The tab books have kept me playing guitar too which Im thankful for.

    I just saw Scale the Summit live this past Tuesday at the Roxy... while having to study for a final for the following day and I have to say it was worth pulling the all nighter because seeing them live is amazing. I was so close to getting a guitar pick from Chris but sadly I didn't but nonetheless amazing show can't wait till they are in the LA area again because for sure I'm going.

      scalethesummit Chris I am an older player but can appreciate a brand new take on a skill known as tapping... is actually pretty hard to master and you've taken my interest in guitar to a whole other dimension!

    • @scalethesummit
      @scalethesummit  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot! You should look into slap stuff as well for guitar. Check out our song Royal Orphan, its totally different approach to guitar, really fun to play! -Chris

    • @arthurpetersen6851
      @arthurpetersen6851 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow,funny you should mention that! I was just checking out your song Royal Orphan, in my truck, on my way home from my bandshell up at The Burn Brae Mansion, in Glen Spey N.Y., this morning ! We hosted Randy Jackson from Zebra there last night,and he did a great job with his 12 string acoustic. Royal Orphan showed me what is possible with slap technique,a skill which I have yet to master. I noticed you took some treble out of your sound,to get more of a bass feel to it.You do that well,and the composition is awesome of the song ! We just finished the recording of our last album which is just some old school hardcore/crossover stuff, but my next one with my band Chaotic Realm will have some shred style to it, hopefully with some good tapping at least!

    • @scalethesummit
      @scalethesummit  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Chris, you inspired me to buy another 7-string to play in standard. It's too tedious to tune my Floyd Rose 7-string to standard (especially since all the strings are 7-5 half-steps down)

      Lucifer practice that’s all it is! But I’m pretty sure you already know that 😎I almost have it down. I’m just trying to clean up the solo bend timing so I like to watch the master go to work and pass down the knowledge. Glad your learning, we need more musicians out there, they are a scarce breed.

    • @LuciFernato
      @LuciFernato 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      saul orozco well, the exam was 2 months ago... got 89% from the judges (for this song, wing and prayer from mike stern and still got the blues from gary moore) and yeahh, musicians are getting scarce, but its kinda logical, our wages are next to nothing if we dont teach (or are wickedly famous)
