@@assoluto76 Oh I think I made a mistake. You see in Rage Racer having collision with other cars or smashing the wall gives you a decent speed reduce and you are unable to acclerate for a while. I thought you have removed them in the video but no lol. Perhaps it could be a good idea.

@@assoluto76 I have the address for my Rom/Emulator to control the camera if you want it to showcase your mod! 2009E578 is a single byte address, 0 = Bumper Camera 1 = Rear View Camera 2 = Cinematic Camera (end of race camera) very useful for showing cars from all different angles. If the address doesn't work for you, let me know and i'll try and find a copy of your rom and find it!
Me too, many rival car liveries and colors are much better than player ones. I always wanted to drive the rival cars in general, especially the 3th grade ones.

Very cool video and mod! When i played this game as a kid/teenager, I always wondered where exactly the rival cars start on the track, on the grid. How far does the 1st rival car start, is it like half a track ahead right from the start? I also wondered if slower cars overtake each other, of course i knew that there are 4 faster rival cars in every race, but what about other 7. I also wanted to compare and measure their exact speed. And sometimes i took a class 5 car into class 1 race and bumped into the slowest 11th car so that it overtakes the 10th car :DD
I sat on the start line to time when the rival car crosses the line, then took it's full lap time next lap to get a rough idea of how far up the track it starts.

Open Retro Arch & run the game and press [F1] => Dump Texture & ReplaceTexture : ON 4. Create new 2 folders in my gamefolder and rename them to ["gamename"-texture-dump] & ["gamename"-texture-replacements] (2:30 in this tutorial video) 5. Run the game (I checked TrackTexture & DumpTexture & ReplaceTexture all ON) but No images (.png, .jpg ...etc) generated in my -texture-dump folder...
@@raxer054 Remember that the "gamename" must be exactly the name of your ISO (without file format, so don't put ".bin" or anything else), otherwise it won't work. You also don't need to turn on "dump textures", do It now as a test but switch that off if you manage to let it work, you don't need them unless you want to customize them your self, leaving that option on affects game performance and you'll find tons and tons of textures on the folder.

Hi, Cheat Engine only needs if you want to change some aspects of the game + some cheats in order to customize the game as you wish BUT you don't need it to play with the custom textures, that is and emulator feature. Anyway, I don't understand what your problem is.
@@assoluto76 Oh ok, I have the texture tracking and replace textures setting on and I am running the emulator in PSX HW the only other issue I have is that whenever I try to set my Anti-Aliasing to 16x the emulator crashes but other than that I don't understand why the textures do not show up. Should it still kind of work even if I don't have it at 16x? I should also mention I had also placed the ISO file in with the Rage Racer texture folder but even that doesn't do anything. Do I need to put the folder somewhere specific?

Yeah, I'm used to play at 4k resolution scale, widescreen patch and with some "pgxp geometry correction" options on. I didn't use any shader for this video btw.

Btw, unless you use Windows XP or vista I don't recomand epsxe, it's too old and it doesn't even work properly with new operative systems and hardware. I suggest you to use Duckstation as your main ps1 emulator, then get also RetroArch with Beetle Psx if you want to play this mod.
Hi, thank you! I've never tried, for sure the rim texture goes in a separate texture, and I've never seemed to see particular rims among the opposing cars, I think they share the same one.

@@assoluto76 From a quick look, it appears that rival vehicles do not have wheel textures for when the vehicle is stopped. The same textures were used while stopped as while driving.
@@miguelvasques7854 Oh I've made it many times, it's not that hard once you memorize every track perfectly, an important thing is the use of the break, that can be a confusing, many players don't even know how to do it (holding square and cross together).

The real question is, did anyone evr finish the RAGE GP?.... its just against 4 oponents.... HARDEST challenge ever
