Yes if you would have had progressive rock radio back then you would have heard a lot of April Wine as well as things that weren't even on this list. In St Louis we had KSHE
Great list thanks for including dust focus and ELP however I would have had elps first album as well along with rare bird. Also good call including bloodrock. It seems like bloodrock and dust always get left out😮
John Lennon’s “Imagine”, I think, ought to be in the first 10. Especially when you think about the impact this album had then and still has on music and society as a whole
I saw a video about weird band names, and I think the Fuzzy Ducks definitely need to be on it! 😅 I still think the best one was Strawberry Alarm Clock though, lol.
Tucky Buzzard were awesome also Bubble Puppy. Anyone with underground or progressive rock radio FM dial would have got to listen to a lot of this stuff back then that has been long since forgotten😮
Leaves nothing to be desired, very good. But Pink Floyd only 8th place? After "Atom Heart Mother", "Meddle" is their best Album. As a german, I am happy about Frumpy
Pink Floyd only 8th. They're lucky they got that high because that was an exceptional year. I get tired of everybody worshiping at the altar of Pink Floyd when the only good albums they met was m e d d l e and Dark Side of the Moon.😢
1971 for me was the best year! ( Aged of 19 years old! ) Girls and music !❤️🙏🤗
Great work, man. My favorites are Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and Deep Purple.
1970 through to 1974 is the time when the greatest Rock Albums were produced! In fact the 70s overall is the greatest decade of music ever! IMO
1971 through 1973 actually.
This is a good video. I'd forgotten how many good albums appeared in '71. 👍
You're right!!!💯
Thanks for watching and comment!!!🎸✌️👍
Great job as always. Nice to see Badfinger in there. Their story was so tragic. I didn't even know April Wine was around in 71! Thanks for posting.👍🏻🥂
Many groups released interesting albums!!!
Thanks for watching and comment!!!🎸🥁🎤🍷🍷
@@rockforever755 Yes! The early 70s were such great years for rock. Nothing like it before or since.

Their music wasn't good after Deguello
Great...vinil.

Great year for obscure rock bands!
Thanks for the recommendations. 👍 I would have included Tago Mago too, but this has plenty of new stuff. 😉
I own 50 of them and a few I wish I still did. Jim
It's great!!!👍
Thanks for watching and comment!!!✌️
Yeah, a very good list, but where is Emergencys debut album? Udo Lindenberg played drums on that one.
John Lennon’s “Imagine”, I think, ought to be in the first 10. Especially when you think about the impact this album had then and still has on music and society as a whole
I was 14 years old then and I was just starting to get into progressive rock😊
What a year!
Nul bidon who 's next innovation de synthès en boucle Townshend pur génie ( Guy platteau Marseille France)
Not only a matter of rock ruling the world but mostly british bands ruling.
You're right!!!
Thanks for watching and comment!!!
I'm American but my top 3 favorite bands are British. I do love lots of American groups too though.
Los grandes ausentes: Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Cream.
Led zeppelin, black sabbath, deep purple, pink floyd 🤟 лучшие!!! Остальное не слушаю…
Спасибо за комментарий!!!
👍👍👍
Yo agregaría King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull, Cream, Allman Brothers Band, Genesis, Grateful Dead.
Pink Fairies "Never Neverland"
ELO debut but no Message from the Country by the Move?? Teenage Head by Flamin Groovies? Runt, the Ballad of TR?
BIG 4 Zeppelin, Purple, Heep and Sabbath yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks for comment!!!✌️
Oh dear.
I think I would add Emerson Lake and Palmer to your list. Especially for Maestro musicianship second to none
Where is message from the country by the move?
Tucky Buzzard x 3 ffs? Fuzzy Duck? Hilarious.🤣
