Definitely in shock. I felt awful for the kid, you can see it in his eyes, he's knee deep in a "holy shit I thought I was going to die" fugue state. Can confirm from actual experience. Holding a punching bag for someone who decided kicking it was a better idea and before I knew it I'd been leathered in the side of the head. Apparently I carried on as normal and refused to be seen for it, about an hour later I was being taken to hospital. I lost 6 or 7 hours of my life. I remember coming around in the hospital attached to a drip surrounded by my family, girlfriend and her Mum. No idea what had happened. I got discharged and on the way back home I didn't remember where we lived and when we pulled up at the house I thought we were visiting someone. Back to the hospital I went. I still don't truly know what I lost and what the long term effects will be. Stay safe people.

I briefly worked for a charity that housed and fed children during hospital stays who were disabled or orphaned from car accidents. Most of them ended up like that because of worthless losers like these guys. And these guys are never really hurt. The Universe really gets an L on this, 0% on moist meter.

Used to work for a volunteer First Aid group and we'd get the odd statistic like this, Mymom picked this up from the local drivers insurance company and yeah the guy that commits the accident, never hurt, everyone else get whiplash, broken bones soft tissue injuries all sort of things that take a year or more to heal and restrengthen.

It's about trying to prevent damage to the spinal cord which is responsible for communications and control in our body and runs all the way along from the brain to the end of the spinal column. Actually, if you look closely and listen, you can hear the engine rev up, the dash goes from 7th gear to 4th gear, that kind of downshift in rain likely caused a hydroplane due to the torque and engine brake, and thus loses control and panics. To make matters worse, if it wasn't in Rain or Wet driving mode, the engine would have rev matched to a high rpm as it down shifted, adding more torque to the already loose traction. This kid doesn't know how to handle this car and had no business operating it.
So the hydroplane was completely avoidable then and just another reason to hate this man on top of distracted driving, gross negligence, no care for his friend, continued streaming after crash, and all the other stuff he has done in his other videos.

i seen that too. passengers first always. when i stacked solo though, i had everyone getting my bike up for me and snapping pics and showing me whilst i sat on my arse assessing my injuries. i was already ordering parts whilst in the hospital. i healed but the bike cost me. that thing was and still is to this day my pride and joy.

hey part time racer here, Im not schumacher or anything but I’ve raced in the rain and drove many different cars, occasionally had the luck to drive some sports cars. The thing with these car is that they are so light compared to the output they can create, this means that the weight of the car shifts really quickly, him accelerating in that situation caused the weight of the car to shift drammatically on the back wheels, leaving the front wheels with no friction. adding the water to this situation makes it basically impossible to regain friction because the car is already turning. So it’s totally his fault of being a bad driver. This is not something that happened out of bad luck, like it happens to some people that hydroplane, this is a bad driver on a car way too powerful for his skill

He is an inexperienced kid….. Never drive with speed into water on the side of the road and check tires for the optimal pressure and tire tread depth. Also, if you are aquaplaning, keep the steering straight, take your foot off the gas and the car will regain traction. Never steer.

Can confirm from actual experience. Holding a punching bag for someone who decided kicking it was a better idea and before I knew it I'd been leathered in the side of the head. Apparently I carried on as normal and refused to be seen for it, about an hour later I was being taken to hospital. I lost 6 or 7 hours of my life. I remember coming around in the hospital attached to a drip surrounded by my family, girlfriend and her Mum. No idea what had happened. I got discharged and on the way back home I didn't remember where we lived and when we pulled up at the house I thought we were visiting someone. Back to the hospital I went.
I still don't truly know what I lost and what the long term effects will be.

I briefly worked for a charity that housed and fed children during hospital stays who were disabled or orphaned from car accidents. Most of them ended up like that because of worthless losers like these guys.

Moving around at all let alone standing up and walking can drastically exacerbate head and neck injuries. As soon as Jack saw that his friend was bleeding profusely if he had any sense he would have had his friend sit down in a stable and comfortable position, stabilized his neck, and immediately called 911.
It's about trying to prevent damage to the spinal cord which is responsible for communications and control in our body and runs all the way along from the brain to the end of the spinal column. Actually, if you look closely and listen, you can hear the engine rev up, the dash goes from 7th gear to 4th gear, that kind of downshift in rain likely caused a hydroplane due to the torque and engine brake, and thus loses control and panics. To make matters worse, if it wasn't in Rain or Wet driving mode, the engine would have rev matched to a high rpm as it down shifted, adding more torque to the already loose traction. This kid doesn't know how to handle this car and had no business operating it.
So the hydroplane was completely avoidable then and just another reason to hate this man on top of distracted driving, gross negligence, no care for his friend, continued streaming after crash, and all the other stuff he has done in his other videos.

hey part time racer here, Im not schumacher or anything but I’ve raced in the rain and drove many different cars, occasionally had the luck to drive some sports cars. The thing with these car is that they are so light compared to the output they can create, this means that the weight of the car shifts really quickly, him accelerating in that situation caused the weight of the car to shift drammatically on the back wheels, leaving the front wheels with no friction. adding the water to this situation makes it basically impossible to regain friction because the car is already turning. So it’s totally his fault of being a bad driver. This is not something that happened out of bad luck, like it happens to some people that hydroplane, this is a bad driver on a car way too powerful for his skill
His friend was in shock and not conscious after getting out of the car, he was deadpan wandering and going on autopilot, this is absolutely insane how careless he was for someone who Literally was less than an inch from being brutally "murdered" by negligence
I imagine that filming and getting attention was Jack on autopilot as well

Driving distracted, accelerating with no reason on wet road (he even downshifted which will definitely make you lose control - it is recommended to drive in higher gears at lower rpm’s, if you are in lower gear and you accelerate hard - like Jack did - you lose traction), steering while aquaplaning….. He is an inexperienced kid…..
Never drive with speed into water on the side of the road and check tires for the optimal pressure and tire tread depth.
Also, if you are aquaplaning, keep the steering straight, take your foot off the gas and the car will regain traction. Never steer.
