Can tell the U.S. Navy is learning from periods of reflection in several ways. 1- Having transparent discussion in the public light as were seeing here. 2- Not failing us in their foreshadowing by identifying our future victory against Army on the gridiron. 3- Note that even the Silent Service won't hesitate to chirp to All Hands in order to clearly communicate goals and objectives of past, present and future for the force as an aspect tieing that into the big picture as well. HooYah Gentleman. Great discussion.

Btw does anybody really believe the maximum depth of these nuclear submarines is actually 800 feet? I don’t buy it for a moment. I mean, there are WWII u-boats that dived under emergency conditions to around 700 feet. I’d be surprised if the real maximum depth of the modern ones was less than 1500 feet.
AMOC should be of strategic and tactical note with a nod to the Arctic morphology. Boomers and fast attack are valid, however space based platforms will soon overpower and make obsolete the surface fleets. Fluid and the electromagnetic dynamic are so far beyond current Navy capabilities (a conscious a foolhardy choice). Sad Swamp politics will sink the DoD
