Years ago months after chemo I was so tired I could hardly breathe. I was depressed and generally feeling worn out. One night I went to bed at 8 pm. I slept deeply and didn't wake up till 2 pm the next afternoon. 18 hours of straight sleep allowed my body the rest it needed and when I woke up I was back to myself. My mind was bright and I was ready for action... like I used to be before treatment. I knew sleep was very important but that made it clear it was vital to life. Without question.

...how to tear away from the tv & satellite channels at night? working on self-control seems to be a problem...
But... medicinal alcohol solves the hot /cold flashes associated with prolonged sleep deprivation.
What does that mean, if I may ask? I have narcolepsy, but at night I can’t sleep.
You have to have the weird glowing noise behind every guided meditation? I hate it
