my father and my uncles were mechanics of yezdi. one thing this bikes is a road-grip.and in high speeds we didnt feel that its going fast. i have learnt on RAJDOOT. But Yezdi is my favourite bike. It also pulled 4 wheelers at that time. We have spares-shop at that time.we still have photos of our workshop. Bikes b/w photos.

Yes...this Yezdi Deluxe is the rarest Yezdi model..with flat round silencers..After Jawa it's the most sought after collected & restored..
Tip..many did not like which sound as it was not equal to tappered silencers..but remove the muffers it's better than tappered.. I love my Deluxe like that😉

It's a fun bike.. close to heart.. it's point syatem so the beat of bike is awesome.. actually it's magic of point ignition which give raw power and quick acceleration compared to cdi. I am also having yezdi 350 twin and it's a gem.. no words it sound awesome and refined

Nice video and worth watching. I am feeling like buying one in 2018 ;-) Its surely is timeless. Its more fun when the bike has less electronics. I was amazed as how the gear leaver turns into a kicker. The new Jawa's should have had this. Unfortunately it doesn't have a kicker.

I owned a Yezdi classic 250 cc for 15 long years, from 1990 to 2005. Now I regret for selling it . sold it in scrap because every part of it had carroded since I was living opposite the sea shore in worli. I enjoyed riding my Yezdi bike.

prior to 1961 all Jawas were imported in fully assembled form. At the end of 50s as per Govt of India's changed policies imports were not allowed and hence one Iranian person who's surname was (or probably is) YEZDI and JAWA collaborated to assemble Jawa bikes in India and subsequently manufacturer them. After expiry of the agreement time, this bike was named as "YEZDI". There are many instances of such a name change in India. Vespa became Bajaj, Royal Enfield became Enfield India, TMB became TATA etc. I refer to your initial comments in this video.
