That's pretty cool! A while back I had an idea that I wanted to be able to have a band, but if one or more of the members wasn't available, we could replace them virtually like this. But adding video to it is brilliant!
I like the idea of this software that is custom made for this application. I've had an idea for years to do a TV show theme song band - and I want it to be able to scale. If it's a larger room and I can fit a full band I'll do it, but if it's smaller I want to be able to do it solo. But I also want classic TV commercials in between songs - plop plop fizz fizz, Prince spaghetti "Anthony!" etc.
This has got my idea gears spinning . . .

Jeff, this is so amazing! I am glad I watched this, it made me realize that the band wasn’t remote. When I saw your show, I 100% thought they were live, just remote. Absolutely brilliant!

Crazy, I've just finished editing an episode of my podcast and the last song on the episode is Medicine by Orbit and then I open up TH-cam on my phone, randomly read the title of this video and click it because it sounds interesting... Bizarre coincidence!

That *is* a bizarre coincidence. It's nice to know that the algorithms are working in our favor. 🙂

Cool idea! I especially love the idle parts between songs, that sells the whole idea to me. I always wanted to play in a band with not just musicians, but guys like you, who think outside the box and experiment with the medium. Well done, I look forward to your next videos.

Question: how did you sync audio? Are you just going stereo out of visibox, or are you able to sync an ableton multitrack out at the same time somehow?
I'm wondering if I could run video and stems simultaneously from the same laptop with one set of midi triggers.
