I have no idea what caused you folks to put the banjo in there but OMG it sounds SOOOOO good! That is not to say that the guitar and the upright do NOT sound good because the definitely do sound very good. But cover bands always have guitar and some sort of bass. Never do they have banjo. I was wanting to get my own cover band to play this song because it is one of my favorites. It always moves audiences on an emotional level. So, this is how I found your cover. I was scrolling through TH-cam covers of Old Man and I saw you three girls and one had a banjo. I thought to myself, "I have GOT to listen to this." You girls absolutely KILLED it! Good job! I'm sending links to all the guys in my band so that they can come back and watch this video for themselves. At the next rehearsal I will tell them that THIS is what I want us to sound like!
I googled a cover of this song and found Baskery! Not only did the song blow my mind but I remembered catching you at the Nürnberg Bardentreffen a few years ago. A definite highlight! Hope you are still rocking ladies!
