Trae, I’m one of your biggest fans. I’ve spent 6 years advocating for you in every sports argument you’ve come up in, and I’ll certainly not be stopping soon. So please hear me when I say: demanding the Hawks trade the 1st overall pick while you are 25 years old actin like 32 year old Dame is actually making me look like I’ve been the fool all these years. Here I’ve vouched for your maturity, and batted back against narratives that you are a toxic asset -and yet in recent days this stink has come to light. I know it’s just because you want to win, and maybe even because you want to force your way to SA, but my friend you are in for the humbling of a lifetime if you try to throw your weight around as a 25 year old who has never given us a full winning season, only gotten us past the 1st round once, and has recently expressed disinterest in being a #1 option… The Hawks have trades to make, but they need to draft this big fella at #1. There’s nothing available we can trade the pick for that would meet your fancy, or ours. Your demand is unmeetable, and therefore is just a shell covering a bitter trade request… don’t be that guy. Grind it out and be ATL’s champ!
