You've come so far in your ability in the past year (as I'm watching, this video said it was from a year ago)! This video was suggested for me so i decided to give it a go and was glad you made a true video of your experience. It gives me hope that I'll "get there" too, someday.
Stamping definitely takes practice, and it's always a messy process, no matter what you do or how good you are. It's kind of like the nature of the beast type of thing. I don't use regular stamping polishes because I can't work fast enough to transfer the image before it dries. I shake too much, so I use stamping gels. They're a lot easier for me to work with, but they do have a tendency to smudge when you're transferring the image. I have a love/hate relationship with stamping. You did well for your first time though! 100x better than I did my first time. Lol.
With stamping it's actually easier to file off the shine or use matte topcoat instead of a shiny base to stick it to :) then put the topcoat on after
Thank you for the advice, I’ll give that a go next time I play about with stamping again ❤️❤️
With a Clear Jelly Stamper’s polishes you only ever have to do one or two swipes not a bunch. If there is a little bit of product left still on the image the likely of it transferring it’s lower. The more you swipe the quicker it will dry so you have to work quickly with this product. Want the finer images to transfer properly. you want to scrape lightly there may be still a lot of product on the non-etched areas but the likely of it transferring is very low. Also try different angles of scraping sometimes when you scrape one way may not be the best way for that image for you. And if you’re still having troubles with that then it’s the Polish is a little bit too thick. From clear jelly you can get a polish thinner. And two drops in the polish will thin it down perfectly enough that any fine detailed image will transfer perfectly. Fine lines or words I even have troubles with sometimes but when I use this trick and I never have any troubles anymore. I hope this helps you. Good luck 🤞😉
I love your channel I came across your videos while binge watching nail art ideas
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
I have noticed it could also be the stampers …I have multiple stampers and some stampers works better with certain patterns vs other stampers
I was excited to try clear jelly stamper and ordered two plates from them one halloween and one snowflake. I'm not a beginner and have lots of plates from maniology. The halloween plate was terrible and I couldn't get half of the designs to transfer, I was so disappointed. The snowflake one worked fine. For the price I really don't think it's worth it. Little tip, it's best to just do one scrape across the design with the card. If it's not working you can also try scraping in another direction that sometimes helps. In this case it may just be the plate.
Thank you so much for the advice on scraping, I’ll make sure to try that next time I give these a go ❤️ I’ll look into Maniology plates and see if I can get some to try
I find it is messy but once you get the hang of it it’s really fun x
