From a survivor POV, he is actually a scary hunter to face. Can give you feel pressured and anxiety because of that unstable ground. Making a surv easily panicked. That unstable ground is really looks scary
But for a hunter, he is actually not a easy character to control
imo his weakness is similar to Alva, tall walls are his enemies the space he gets the harder his skill to land correctly
I think he's like a+, he's good but can struggle against transitional kite because he has to choose between dashing or chipping

* Explorer thinks he is invisible, not tiny. Also decided to tight kite an anti tight kite hunter.
* TM decided to harass but forgot she wasn't a harasser so she took a free hit because... feed him free presence early game ig.
* Barmaid ran to the worst kiting area in the map instead of going to hospital, didn't try to kite, only vaulted while he was throwing and pulling back axe, took her heal dovlin and not the speed buff dovling and ran to rocks instead of transitioning to a kiting area. Stupid be stupid ig.
* TM didnt even use her catapults once.
* Cheerleader wasted both her speed buffs and died rescuing cuz ig BM's kite was to die for.
Yeah, getting survs that don't even try to kite a hunter makes him very OP. Bet Naiad wouldve had the exact same result in the same amount of time against this team but it would've been ok cuz survivor skill issue, but he is scary new hunter so it is not ok.
he's still leagues above naiad, survs potato-ing or not doesn't change being an actually viable sculptor who 100% chips you at vaults/pallets and can be on you in seconds after the match starts on some map spawns, bit like pre-nerf bq, who he is also better than due to rather than massive cd ability being punted by most items/flywheel or broken cooldowns his very short cd ability will be threatening survs again before their item is even off cd, if it even works well against it - probably better than pre-nerf nightwatch? but that's still 2nd to opera
@Evalora I disagree. He is fast, yes, but all of his skills are far too predictable, rendering most of his kit pretty mid.
Camping: Bait the axe throw and call back: free rescue. (He can do a fun bit where he hits you just before he auto calls the axe back, forcing you to take chip damage, which is smart, I like that one).
Chase: Bait axe throw: he can't use dash cuz you changed directions as soon as he threw it, and can't use unstable ground cuz CD is on and his axe is elsewhere (most won't recall it immediately to cancel CD and relocate to the intended kiting area).
Break line of sight: he doesn't know when to call back pickaxe to deal damage (unless he has peepers).
I haven't lost to him yet, I hope he is good or for the players to learn him, but man, is he disappointing and boring to go against. Too easy to kite 🫠

@@SethUnwell i labeled him a 'viable sculptor' since like sculptor his power in chase can be negated by running out in the open and double backing at the right times by good survivors, but at the same time he'll always be close to you outside building scenarios as his mobility is extreme for a hunter that isn't breaking wheel + can swap off an overly competent kiter with little to no warning
given the instant chase + heavy area denial + high cipher disruption at 1000 and removal of kiting options at 2500, if this is what 'mid' looks like then most hunters are D/F tier and you might just have found a hunter you 'get' really well 'cause most survs i've seen don't and can't last 30+ sec vs this guy let alone 60+
@Evalora I think that he is, in a way, worse than sculptor (but better in some ways, like mobility) since she is the one 100% in control of statues, while against FG, survivors are the ones who decide when they take a chip (by deciding when to step on purple areas). And Gala is great in places with walls, while for FG, it is detrimental since he can't see when to call back axe or when to throw it, relying heavily on predictions.
Gala also can use her statues to push survivors around, while he can only hope the survivor has no items and force them to step on purple in order to take a pallet or a window, or force them to take a basic hit (which usually extends kite since it is better for him to down with chips) and if said pallet or window is obstructed by a wall, he can only hope to get his throw right.
Regarding map control, both are the same since statues and his purple areas are very readable and avoidable, tho sculptor has an edge above him due to sculpture of nobility. Edit: when guarding a cipher, the rock has a 1sec delay animation and then it deals damage, that is why I say is it very predictable, and it is a 1 sec damage deal that you side step, that's why I think Gala's map control is still better. I personally learned how to kite this mans via Nubspector (and by playing Deception at least 300 times I *wanted* that 1st place, didn't get it yet 😵💫), and after I got used to how real players play him, he became just way too easy, and I see many other players around my tier (alicorn) and sometimes lower being able to make them cry in rank.
I main Lawyer with Cold and Knee, if it helps. Cold helps me know if he has visual on me, and knee jerk helps me keep transitioning.
@@SethUnwell i can dodge a statue + the nobility it fuses into, i can't dodge a 100ms charged pickaxe that will insta-chip if near terrain and double chip if i don't exit the zone within a quarter of a second + there is no baiting out a window or pallet entry since you vault or cross the threshold and he recalls and chips or just hits you if you don't commit
sculptor was once my most played hunter so my capacity vs her is probably abnormal but she's not much better than he is in a long wall situation like red church since trying to predict statues blind is just being a lesser g26 in my experience
