I love US, Canada, and Mexico .. different places different type of people .. but what I like the most is the variety of "hospitality" from each country.

James White Ensenada is beautiful. I moved out of the city years ago because I don't care for big cities. Ensenada is growing fast. It has everything from walmart, costco and many great restaurants. Also a beautiful malecon (breakwater) and some fantastic playas. Anyone that likes city life would like Ensenada. A lot of gringos live north of Ensenada in Rosarita, also pretty place, but not as safe in my opinion.

Me gustò mucho.

Safee Ilmudeen u can get by pretty well in TJ with limited spanish, but its not safe alot of drugs and crime and incompetent police force i seggest go to the coastal cities where all the tourism is at. They are the safest: Cancun, Cabo,Puerto vallarta etc...oh and the upscale areas in mexico city

I've been going down to Baja from San Diego for at least 22 years and I've never had a problem. The people are very sweet and friendly, the scenery is great, the beaches are beautiful and wide open, and great surf! I love the wine country near Ensenada, beautiful! Really love Rosarito and points South. TJ is a tourist trap but it has really nice upscale areas if you get out of the tourist track. And of course been all the way down to Cabo too. Love it there, don't believe all the negative comments people make, usually they have not been there themselves and/or have some kind of prejudicial viewpoint. I love Baja!

I live in San Diego I have been going 2 Baja since I was 4 yrs old.I'm 49 now.My junior high and high school were located about 4 miles from the border. Some days me and friends used 2 ditch some classes and go 2 Baja and eat tacos on the street. The best tacos are the ones street vendors sell.MY ex girlfriend of 17 yrs lived and still lives in rosarito mexico,so I would go 2 rosarito every weekend 2 see her.I cant really say that I ever had any major proplems in mexico.Of course for a while in 2007 or 2008 the cartels were doing a lot of killings, but they weren't really after americans ,these were fights between cartel gangs, and of course if you were and the worng place at the worng time, chances were you may get hurt. And yes many police officers were corrupt.and there was a lot of kidnappings for ranson (MONEY) however U spell it.Baja is much safer now however you always need 2 keep you'r guard up.Baja is trying very hard 2 keep it safe for tourist and has cleaned up the police force, due 2 the killings and kidnapps they had back in the early 2000's that drawed a lot of tourisim away from Baja, and Baja lost millions of $$$$$ many business closed and many people lost jobs.GO 2 Baja enjoy you'r selfs and have a good time.First BEER is on me.

As a child, Dad was always taking us on his trailer all the way up to San Francisco, CA (Upper Ca) enjoying the China town faire and amazing food, then hitch up the trailer again and head down to Baja California and Deep Mexico, Mazatlan, Queretaro, Etc to eat grilled jumbo garlic lime shrimp, rice, beans, warm homemade flour tortillas, limeade with salt on top.. Fresh off the brasas grilled pollo.. He did this as an easy and memorable way to learn our Mexican heritage all the way from Upper Ca to Baja Ca.. OurbSan Diego year round school afforded us this As an adult, I’m still remembering! (and you guessed it) sometimes really miss the far Southern part of California and desperately feel like I need to touch “earth” again down there someday.. Your tips make it seem so easy (this time without the trailer) .. I just might go back to visit my Original California roots sometime soon- Thanks...

I completely understand as we deal with the negative comments daily. More people are interested in the negative then the positive which is very sad but a reality. We have tested in other article and videos and have found we get a better result with more bold subject lines. This is our number one watched video on youtube and I don't think we would have had as many views if I went softer on the title. I promise you there is nothing more I would love to do then to focus on the positive of Mexico but we have 5 years of very negative marketing about Mexico that we are not going to fix in a short period of time. This is one of my favorite videos because I do live here and the people are real in this video...not actors and the places are real...not staged!! So for all the people that believe the media hype that Mexico is a war zone should watch this video and see what a beautiful and exciting place it is...Thanks for taking the time to comment on the video. Since this is produced by Secture and requested by the Baja Image Committee, it's focus is only on Baja California, not sur. But the message focus is on the reality of our area, which is very safe, and should not be included in the travel alerts and media smear job on Mexico. But sur is also helped as well as most of Mexico.

I want to move to Mexico. My brother lives in Peurto Vallarta but it's a bit noisy there for me and so far to drive. Seems like an overwhelming task. Baja is pretty close to the USA. How far of a drive from the border so you are far enough away from Tijuana where it's safer? I am from Canada and will drive my cats and furniture, car down. Are there safe places a little bit out of town where I can have a garden? What are the prices for a 1 bedroom house, suite etc?

mexicali in the house, i have lived in honolulu, seatlle, las vegas,(still have condo 1990) .and now cali since 1992, off and on..(property owner since 1995) if i had kept my condo in hono, it would be worth 5 times more now. the houses and land here are easily worth ten times what i paid in 1995. in the mrs. name, who is from cali . from 1995 to 2005 the year i retired early, i drove every weekend if i was not working in vegas. now its swapmeets and flea markets, where i have found $$$, to many items to list. let me know if your looking for any collectables. also, eldorado estates in san felipe, mex have a special going on right now. golf, 2 bedroom condo for 4 people, i think for 3 or 4 days. they will be sales people, but its a cheap way to see the area. ignore the sales pitch, unless? good luck, oh, and it is a great place and you get more bang for your buck...''paz''

Minus the ridiculously high cost of living, minus the super corrupt Big Business/Tech Companies, minus the high cost of housing, plus an self-governing autonomous government. With all these it'll make a great 51st state. They gotta "buy" it from Mexico first!

What is wrong with Tijuana? I go there multiple times a week...It is a great city with a lot of great shopping and great places to eat. Are you saying don't go there because you have had a bad experience or because the news says don't go there? I go there and I love it and can say from 1st hand experience...TIJUANA IS GREAT! and yes I am a gringo and I get greeted with open arms from caring and warm Mexican people

Spaniards came to Mexico looking for gold. a little tower in Goleta a city in Santa Barbara County California USA spotted the Spaniards sailing up the coast and stop there invasion well over 200 years ago. the little Tower is still there. the oil company property. Remember? I remember.

LET ME SAY SOMETHING. PRETTY COOL FOR ALL THE AMERICANS AND EUROPEANS, WHO MADE A LOT OF MONEY, AND ARE NOW GETTING A $2300USD. PAYCHECK EACH MONTH, THE RETIRED ONES..... FEELS LIKE AT HOME DESN'T IT ?? JUST A BIT CHEAPER.. NOT A LOT THOUGH , BECAUSE HAVE IN MIND THAT A LOT OF THESE HOTELS AND REAL STATE ARE AMERICAN COMPANIES, SO THEY WILL CHARGE JUST A BIT LESS THAN IN USA.
