Wait. The New .45-70 Pistol is Actually GREAT for Long Range Shots?!?

After practicing at the range, I stumbled into a discovery that has shifted my opinion of the .45-70 handgun! Turns out, it's incredibly accurate and consistent at 300 and 400m!

If you put the pistol scope on the 454 and zero for 75, the first "dot" of the scope is dead on for 300

If I could put a rifle scope on the .454 I likely wouldn't use anything else most of the time. As it is that's the go to for almost everything.
And in this video, Flinty boi demonstrates why first focal plane is better than second focal plane.

You can use the 2nd and 3rd mil dot as well (?)
I will test it tomorrow with release, but I guess that the 2nd is 350m and the 3rd 400m with the Argus scope at full zoom (16x).

Just an idea for a video I think u should do a “Old school” hunt where you have to check the quick kill and the consecutive harvest since it shows that. Double points if u can get a diamond with 100% consecutive harvest like the old days

and I thought hunting crocs on emerald coast with bow at 100m range was crazy. with 3pin range at 80m = bottom pin @ 20m zero, 100m = bottom pin @ 60m zero. At 100m if u go against wind go to 95m if u go down the wind go to 105m. Crocs allows you to shoot 2 sometimes 3arrows, so side wind easy to manage :)

How many years are we going to deal with the moose being absolutely broken? Ether they need to be made class 9 or their ballistics penetration needs to be reworked. I am very disappointed that this update including the class restructuring of so many animals does not include a fix for moose. Practically need the King 470 which is a class 9 only weapon.

Making the 45/70 penetrate better at 150m is a great thing. Making it realistic to shoot 400m out of a handgun is a little on the silly side.

They need to extend the render distance with the Argus on a lot of rifles I think the first dot will hit close at 500

The class system and bullet penetration are so dumb in this game. A .223 can’t even kill a hog? Really? One of the best guns in the game and it’s literally useless against nearly all species. And the 7-9 class guns are even worse
