We(our shop)were at Daytona when Team Yamaha showed up with a 53' full rig and rolled out Kenny Roberts Yellow TZ-750 with mag wheels, monoshock, disc brakes F & R, he laped the second place rider that day, bike was beyond NASA quality, King Kenny wheelied from turn to turn one handed holding the Victory symbol up in the air with his clutch hand, Unfucking Believe able, but TRUE 🏁🏆💰🦍🏁💰🏆🦍🇺🇸

If it ever gets produced, I think it'll be either 2 or 3 cylinder - like old Trabants or Wartburgs, as these configuratios are more economical.
Also, combination with a turbo for higher RPM would make it even more efficient

I remember Agostini winning Daytona on one of these when the race actually meant something, when racers from around the world came here for the opportunity to race in the Daytona 200 back when it was considered THE most prestigious race in the world before the AMA ruined it reducing it to what it is today, a modified production club race for modified street bikes..
it’s hard to believe that a right off the show room floor out of the crate Japanese street sport bike is faster than this TZ today, and will last Tens of thousands of miles, whereas, this TZ 750 needs new pistons every 600 miles, and new crankshaft every 1200 miles,if you follow factory recommendations

Maybe the air cooled triples, but the TZ has sufficiently thick water jackets to be thermally stable.

I was in awe of these back in the day with Kenny Roberts, Steve Baker, etc and Roger Marshal, Ron Haslam, Joey Dunlop etc.
These were pure race bikes and were mental in the day.
My father had this engine in a sidecar outfit and it would just spin the back wheel in first and second gear ha😀.
I had TZ 350 solo and that was fantastic.
These should be remembered as the pure mega race bikes that they were.
Miss these and all that went with them back in the day 😃😃
