Love this video. Thank you Juan Carlos for speaking to Gangaji about the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. I'm a former Vajrayana practitioner and a former Catholic. Very helpful. Calling off the search is the most radical teaching indeed! It is a self-empowerment into self-liberating awareness.
This video came to me in the spring of 2014. It so closely mirrored my experience that I immediately did some research and decided to attend the annual retreat at Fallen Leaf Lake. Since then, I have attended other retreats with her. Perhaps "teacher" isn't exactly precise, but Gangaji is (whatever word is accurate). This message, "wake up first" has been and continues to be an, "internal" revolution. "Stop. Tell the truth. Be still." So very grateful I met Gangaji. ❤🙏🏿❤
I stopped the search when I met my spiritual master in the early 1960s. Prior to that I had studied Zen, Vedanta, some Christian mystics, etc. then I came into contact with a Meher Baba lover who had just returned from the 1962 East West Gathering and handed me a book titled " the everything and the nothing" I was hooked. I've been a Meher Baba lover ever since. You stop the search when you meet your spiritual master. If you are following a spiritual master but you still feel unfulfilled, then you must continue to search ( actually more like " long for") until you find--and are fulfilled. I believe you cannot ( of your own accord ) become God Realized ( infinite Power Knowledge Bliss continuous without a break) without the help of a Perfect Master or the Avatar. Meher Baba promises to take us from where we are to where we should be--blindfolded--so that we bypass the enchantments of the involutionary planes that can sidetrack our journey home. . Meher Baba did say that Ramana Marharshi was either God Realized or a very high genuine saint. So that lineage that Gangaji expresses most eloquently in her sat sangs is worth watching. I don't have a TV but I enjoy watching many of her TH-cam videos--and I feel the love and radiance emanating. And what I love about her is that she makes no claims to be spiritually advanced. Some of the other satsang teachers have not stated their spiritual status and I believe it is important to be honest. On their Wikipedia page , all satsang teachers should at least reveal if they are single or married or celibate or in a relationship that includes sex. At least Gangaji has stated that she is in a relationship that includes celibacy. All love Always Al
But why do anything at all? What is the point of doing anything after waking up? Before at least there's the yearning, etc. But once that is sated, what motivates someone to move off the couch? Why do people become spiritual teachers? Why should the message be spread?
