The Dark Riders are awesome, styled after Nazgul and the Witch King from LotR.
I think I saw the trolls before. I reckon the trolls and Cyclops would work well with Heroquest and others.
By the way, when you revealed the countless boxes I thought that was pretty cool. I recently picked up loads of Warlord miniatures in my local game store. Dacians,Germania Warriors,Numidians and Roman legionaries. Probably around 200 for about £45

This is the way.
The Orcs and Goblins being around the same size makes sense from a historical perspective. Tolkien effectively invented the Orc, as we understand it, as an alternate name for Goblin in his Middle Earth setting. (Though things like Uruk-Hai or Orc-Men might stand a bit taller). They were the same species. So fantasy works made in the latter decades of the 20th century tended to make Orcs short, even when they positioned them as different creatures to Goblins. It's only later that fantasy properties started not only making Orcs significantly bigger than Goblins, but bigger than humans.
Those are surprisingly good considering the price and the boxing !
For that wizard glue her to a penny, or use 20mm circle bases. whatever works.
If you want 28mm minis the jackals are REALLY good.
Cimmerian set is on my wishlist. The Ukranian company is having a sale this weekend too.

These miniatures are perfect for Dragon Rampant! I have a full Elf army and a Ralph Bakshi style Orc army.

Didn't realize how large your HeroQuest mat was until I saw the League Of Dungeoneers hex map on top of it...
In reference to the colors/materials... I ordered about 10 boxes of these a few years ago, and in one of them they clearly changed plastic colors in the middle of the run. So I wouldn't make definitive statements about that stuff. Because it seems like whatever they've got on the day is what goes in the material hopper. So YMMV.

These are good, cheap, scale is 20mm ?
I got a bunch of these after your last video while i was in a hobby slump. Haven't painted them yet, but the purchase helped me start painting again. My dad had been in and out of the hospital earlier in the year and it took everything out of me, so thanks for that. Also, I use cheap 3/4" bingo chips for bases. plenty of weight, not too big.

As for other games you could use these with:
One Page Rules (Age of Fantasy), Song of Blades and Heroes from Ganesha Games, Oathmark, Dragon Rampant, 5 leagues from the Boarderlands and Rangers of Shadowdeep. Hordes of the Things is another good option as is Mighty Armies.

You could use these for Age of Fantasy but when I attempted to use my LOTR themed 28mm, they didn't fit perfectly given the high fantasy of Age of Sigmar which ultimately provides most of the army lists.
My kids and I have been wargaming with 1/72 plastics for years. We usually use rules with multiple figures mounted to a base, such as Hordes of the Things or De Bellis Antiquitatis. Because of the light weight, skirmish games with 1/72 are easier if you base on the figures on something with a bit of weight to it so that they don’t fall over when the table gets bumped.
Besides the obvious idea of doing MESBG in 20mm, this would be a cheap way to make some nice Kings of War armies. In a pinch you could even play against someone using 28mm miniatures since only the regiment base size matters.
I was going to say that 1/72 is popular with ww2 players and maybe they should go that way but apparently this company is already big into historicals. You might be able to find some suitable medieval or ancient humans in there somewhere.

You should take a look at the Ceasar Minatures (if you didn´t do it allready) they are LoTR themed too. There is a box of nice Adventurers (seems like the Companions/fellowship with a Caramon style warrior a female Wizard and a Conan style Barbarian (with a club like axe) and some kind of troll), the Dwarves and Elves are nice too but a bit more generic (but still with a LOTR feel and a Legolas style character on picture, Orcs (they look really cool) ,Goblins (a bit to large compared to the others), Undead (Vampires, Skeletons, Wraiths etc. i do not own these). They are really cool and greatly detailed.
Unfortunately, many of the Caesar sets, incluidng the highly useful “Adventurers”, are out of production as of late 2024. My son is looking for a couple of boxes of Undead without luck yet.
