Seeing Rza and Preme live, playing records they produced, it was just crazy. For anyone that was around when those records broke to see these 2 producers go back and forth, damn! Yo take me back to middle school ...
Ebro right I'm from Atlanta and in the early 2000s visions night club would play Biggie unbelievable and people would go crazy to it. It would still be a hit today.
Man bro them ninjas are really jealous of Rza’s and the Wu’s success. The comments was so biased. Blackthought told Ebro in the comments that Preemo was hanging on for dear life.
liquid beat is simple but nasty in a way only rza can do! I think ppl consider it repetitive because it doesn't have that "bounce" that a lot of 90s stuff does. But he was so good at producing for and bringing out the best qualities of each member. ONLY GZA could have laced it
If Rza had played Living in the World Today, Rainy Dayz, Glaciers of Ice, Guillotine, Ice Water, Bellz of War, Reunited, or Knuckleheadz, he would have won more convincingly. EDIT: I forgot to mention Wildflower, Black Jesus, Heaven and Hell, Da Mystery of Chessboxin', Can It Be All So Simple, and Hellz Wind Staff as well.

The original B-side song of "Protect ya neck" is "After the laughter, comes the tears".......I got doubles on vinyl and I remember when they were hustling their music on the street. They were at Green Acres Mall giving out cassette tapes to everybody when "Protect ya neck" was first being played on the radio.
I think both won. Both have different styles. They both get respect and are legends. They both contributed to this culture and I know both! Both are are winners.

@@Stonecoldalston it totally matters. If rza didnt produce the track(which i dont know but thats what evryone is saying) and storch did the most notable parts of those tracks you are talking about, its a huge difference. So keeping the same nergy doesnt apply. How do people not understand that?
But you're only looking at production as he did the beat, what if he said put the drums like this and bass here?? Who's to say he didn't do the mix?? That's production too..timbo did the 808s and bass on stronger and wasn't credited..js

It's a producer battle so seems logical to judge songs
Seeing Rza and Preme live, playing records they produced, it was just crazy. For anyone that was around when those records broke to see these 2 producers go back and forth, damn! Yo take me back to middle school ...
Ebro right I'm from Atlanta and in the early 2000s visions night club would play Biggie unbelievable and people would go crazy to it. It would still be a hit today.
Facts 💯
The biggest winner was....Nas!!! You forgot how special he is with great production.
He’s special period... GOD Tier
I hear you, but trust, the real will never forget how special he is!
How the RZA didn't put tres Leches in there And Primo didn't put almost any Jay and Nas production....we need a rematch
and meth
Stupid question: did RZA prod. Incarcerated scarface's ?
And who else is binging of liquid swords, the purple tape, and ODB albums
Winnen tical
Yea Incarcerated is Rza joint
Yup..thats a Rza beat..all day everyday..🙌🏼
W
The premier bias is obvious

Disgusting soyboys. Everyone knows RZA is supreme
THANK U!!!
Man bro them ninjas are really jealous of Rza’s and the Wu’s success. The comments was so biased. Blackthought told Ebro in the comments that Preemo was hanging on for dear life.
I love your Breakdowns. Its a happy accident that this virus has evolved a segment into some classic moments from IG and Hot 97
how they say liquid swords beat was too repetitive, like a million wasn't even more? To me is Millionis nowhere near as a serious beat as liquid....
liquid beat is simple but nasty in a way only rza can do! I think ppl consider it repetitive because it doesn't have that "bounce" that a lot of 90s stuff does. But he was so good at producing for and bringing out the best qualities of each member. ONLY GZA could have laced it
@@Meongge12 I agree. Liquid is a gritty beat as opposed to a Million that has that bounce. Militant compared to comedic
Shadowboxin and 4th chamber
And he still won. Didn’t even drop One, or Daytona 500
lifestraight wow rainy days rza won anyway
@@juniegyllenhaal3937 One was produced by Juju
He didn't play nutmeg or Careful
Wu Tang has still changed a whole CULTURE globally. They have also bought together different races through their music, style, started new trends, and created new slang for the culture.... WU TANG IS FOR THE WORLD 🌎 👐🏿🔥👐🏿🔥👐🏿🔥👐🏿🔥👐🏿🔥👐🏿🔥👐🏿🔥👐🏿 #rzawon
Stop making into something else. Wu is great but this a producer battle. Premier is arguably the best producer of all time.
Da Wrekzorcist damn... What a time and place to be alive dude nice.
Wow, Green Acres, memories.
Y’all are bugging talking about Above the Clouds not being a monster beat.. That’s a top 5 Premier beat..
I think both won. Both have different styles. They both get respect and are legends. They both contributed to this culture and I know both! Both are are winners.
Did you all notice RZA flexing by playing Afro Samurai in the background? He scored the movie.
Y'all trippin...and fliping one min it's song then its oh straight beat...then oh rza didn't fully produce the track...well how Scott Storch get a W??? What is the better records.
Cuz scott storches parts made the tracks. Gtfoh
Terry Crowley don't matter keep the same energy
@@Stonecoldalston it totally matters. If rza didnt produce the track(which i dont know but thats what evryone is saying) and storch did the most notable parts of those tracks you are talking about, its a huge difference. So keeping the same nergy doesnt apply. How do people not understand that?
cause scott did and the industry knows lmao... he one the biggest ghost producers
But you're only looking at production as he did the beat, what if he said put the drums like this and bass here?? Who's to say he didn't do the mix?? That's production too..timbo did the 808s and bass on stronger and wasn't credited..js
I hope Method Man drops something after all this.
He already did a few months ago.
Mef was checking they ass in the comments
Same
Meth has dropped a couple of fire projects in the past couple years... do ya history
Yall are clearly Drunk... Rza clearly won
I’m from Houston so I’m by default a Preemo head...BUT Rza took the W!!
Facts
bugging. "a million" over "liquid swords"? No.
Yes
The dangelo joint does not win cold world, gtfoh
Smh muhfuckaz crazy
I agree
Hell no
Seriously
wrong
How RZA left "Daytona 500" in the chamber (pun intended) is beyond me!
Facts!!!
Dwyck is one of the Best Hip Hop song of ALL TIME
Criminology is one of The Best Beats in Hip Hop history...
Rza 12 Primo 8
I gotta keep goin..Rza made Havoc who made Alchemist who brought us Griselda...Bobby Digi 4 da All Time Win
Rza ain’t make havoc that was really Q tip and alchemist was ask muggs student
How can this debate can even exist?
Ok it was a match so it’s nice and ok to discuss a bit, but to be honest there is nothing bigger than preemo, overall.
All my respect to RZA, a great and nice page of hip hop history, definitely a key person to that golden era we all love.
Preemo remains the king to me, so many classics with so many different mc’s, he made them all shine.
I am LOVING y’all recaps!!! Me and my friends look forward to it!!!
No way D'angelo record beats GZA cold world
I agree
For real
These guys are bias. Rosenberg was all over biggie records
Nah the devils pie was the joint....
That's what I say! I love both records though!
Clear biased bs. They could've played Maria, they skipped it to snub RZA. No way Wu Gambinos loses either.
This was a much closer battle than how they scored it.
Right. Im low key pissed with how they judged.
I still got premo but I feel ya
RZA is so much more creative with his beat. Premier is amazing of course, but all his drums sound the same and he never changes his style.
Agree with this. Love them both but RZA is much more my preference.
Sure RZA changes tempo from song to song...BUT the rhythms in those song seem to be repetitive. He definitely doesnt switch it up as much as Preemo
Why do I feel like laura doesnt know all of these songs and she's just going along with everybody else.
Kombeez Atashband that’s the misogyny in you lol
She obviously works in the industry. I’m sure this wasn’t her first gig related to music and I’m sure she needs knowledge to do her job in a hip hop market.
@@JemmaSara nah because I have respect for women but nice try though
@@nmw654 she rarely says anything and when she does, it's a few words.
@@Kobeat21 But that's how she is on the radio too. Rosenberg and Ebro do most of the talking. Honestly I always felt she was in the shadows of both of them but of course that doesn't mean she doesn't know hip hop.
I don’t respect there votes... Rza won this hands down
Yet you in here.
@@Makavelicious to watch a video you gotta respect everything?
Ous88 yet you have a picture of another man as your profile pic.. kinda sus
Mr 585 Agreed
They should switch goin first each round.
Every 5-10 songs
If u think “Nas is like” beats “Verbal intercourse” u need to be checked into a mental institution !!!
EXACTLY!
Right!
Correct!
Facts!!!
🗣PLEASE SAY THAT AGAIN!!!
Come Clean cant beat Brooklyn Zoo
Nas is like cant beat Verbal Intercourse
The only true DRAW was Ice-Cream & Unbelievable
Come clean and bk zoo was a close 1
They need to play instrumentals only.... it’s a “beat” battle not a record battle. Still an amazing moment two legends created for the culture !! 💯💯
Too much focus on the lyrics and the artist.
That long kiss goodnight shocked me, I never knew RZA did that
Oh yeah! And the track rza did for pun is ridiculous too!
Right
Amante Apasionado bren one of favorites from my fav album since back then
Method Man one of the GOATS that's slept on. Including LL
Real talk , Iron Lung always had 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The premier cool traditional boom bap but damn the RZA beats are way better, more innovative
Jose Victoria Thank you I’m shocked you haven’t been attacked by crazy Premier fanboys lol.
Yes indeed, Primier uses a template that is recognizeable RZA is unpredictable
rza got those dark, gritty, funky beats where premier got those chopped, creative, unique beats. cant compare the 2 either way
Rza took the floor when he put on cream p
Exactly....and they tried to say it was a tie in that round...I love that BIG song but that beat wasn't touching Ice Cream in no way.
Put that mean face when C.R.E.A.M dropped
Nothing beats c.r.e.a.m.
What’s so great about cream
Rza won period I don’t understand how there is even an argument and I love premo more than rza. The man had the better beats it’s that simple next
Nahhhh. Premiers catalog is bigger, more diverse, and has more stamps on Hip Hop legends. 90% of RZA music was Wu affiliated. Not even close
6 rds to RZA, 6 to Preemo the rest are a push...CLASSIC
This was a beautiful thing. Definitely a win for the culture. Reminded me of why I love Rap music and Hip Hop so much.
Nothing beats All I Need! The greatest Hip Hop Remix of all time!!!!
LMAOOOOO RZA won. Rosenberg is a bum
Loooooooooool
Tbh..I am a Wu fanatic but facts..Premier is heavy..🙌🏼
Rza Definitely won. Rosenberg so lame I think about this song everyday 😂😂😂 everybody know who won is Battle it was closed but Rza Edge premo hands down.
Once rza play that Dark Fantasy it was over
i love when yall break these battles down man
How the f' does Nas is Like beat Verbal Intercourse?!?!?!
I agree. Premo is my favorite but Verbal Intercourse is a better joint.
Verbal Intercourse was the more original beat, added more to hip hop as countless producers wigs were BLOWN when that joint came out, PLUS verbal intercourse had the better Nas verse... I don't understand
It doesn't.
@Aaron9 lol u being serious I can't tell
I love that they both played Biggie songs, and Nas. Kinda, RZA did verbal intercourse, featuring Nas
Hot 9 some of y’all take on this is just str8 crazy...
Remember Hot97 Hated the WU
Shoutout to the Anthony’s
