Even though this movie might be low budget its still a really good movie, probably, in fact, one of my favorites. This movie proves that money doesn't matter.
I might have to disagree with you there; if the message of the movie was that everyone should’ve understood poor Finn and that he had apparently good reason for bullying Matthew and the kids, then apparently money really doesn’t matter. Apparently Finn being poor was an excuse, if you really take the message at face value.

Does anyone remember "Lincoln Logs"? Man we had those when I was a kid! I loved those things. Even though my grandparents bought those for my brothers, me, being a girl--I still liked to build things. My brothers got tired of all the "boy toys"--were interested in my sister's doll house, Barbie and Ken doll and the Barbie CAR of course--and I had the Barbie Airplane and all that stuff--so we kids regularly switched toys. I liked GI Joe and the Tonka trucks and building blocks and Legos that my brothers routinely got each year. Those were so much fun, building different things. My brothers liked the tiny dishes and cups and all the minute stuff that came with the Barbie Doll stuff--it was funny. Then we would switch back again. WE spent many Sunday afternoons listening to music and playing with the metal ERECTOR sets, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and Lego sets--my favorite thing was when my brothers set up their hot wheels tracks and played with their hot wheels cars. My sister and I were not allowed to touch that stuff! WE had fun watching them race those cars all across the living room, as Dad helped them set up the loop to loops track--and it worked, just like on TV! WE were very blessed to have involved parents who cared about us and spent time with us. I am now 60 years old--and this movie brings back memories of riding the bus and all the stuff that went with it, even the bullies which our parents taught us how to forgive and to get along with too. Thanks!!!
neat movie. My nephew's last name is Buckley so I found it quite comical in ways. As he was a lot like Matthew growing up. As if the character was created about him lol

I really have to say something about this one… As a longtime victim of childhood bullying, the message of this movie really did not sit well with me. I’m usually more of a fan of most folks of the whole “feel good, movie with a message“ premise, but this time I just couldn’t do it. It basically sent the message to me that if you are poor, down in life, or just have something going on, it gives you the right to be a bully and be hateful to people. It really doesn’t. There is no excuse for that no matter what. Having problems of your own doesn’t make it right to treat someone else that way, no matter what. Believe me, I get the whole message about “be nice to your enemies“ and somehow how that makes you a better person. I lived this for many years, I was Matthew growing up most of the time, and trust me, it just doesn’t work that way.
Forgiveness is essential, and I get the message of the movie. But Matthew didn't have to take the blame for Finn about the underwear. The teacher was already going to take the information in private and there could have been a conversation later. All too often, when a bad guy is pitied to the point of letting him get away with everything, it doesn't help. It only gives them an excuse to continue being bad. And I'm sorry, it gets me because I've seen it too often in real life. Yes, people need kindness and compassion and to be forgiven. But all too often letting that type of thing go on without 'interference' can end up in tragedy for far too many. And yes, all those toys in the end were nice. But you can't eat toys, and as far as Christmas blankets go (not that those were in the movie, but) it gets cold in the winter, waaay before December.
Unfotenely that s always in real life. I get bully or taking blame always for something in life just to have a peace. But at the end never gets god for me
I never liked any cristmas but when I just wanted to see one to see that why xmas movies are so famous and before this movie I saw more 4 movies but this one was like sinh ' s life was just like mine and I absolutely love this movie
