    Not only are you a selfless teacher, but also a super talented timelapse cinematographer!! Your tutorials are such a treat to watch, and such drastic improvement to my frames. I am grateful mate.

    I always click the motion blur checkbox for the layer and composition too to help make the zoom look more pleasing.

    Nice tutorial. The two timelapses were exposed differently though, so it made the transition more noticeable.

    great tutorial you can adjust the exposure on the second shot like the first and it will be ok if the transition take a longer period

    This is great, I tried to do something similar to this but didn't have the right footage. Wish I saw this video before I went to Rome.

    Hi Adam, great tut mate. I've been looking to make my TL more interesting, just the job. I had no idea about the null object, though all the rest I've used before. Thanks. Sub.

    This is great if you are already advanced in this software. Is there a tutorial that show how to do this for someone who isn't?

    Would it work for zoom out tho? From telephoto to wide angle trying to think about that but seems like lil but impossible right?

    This is just great. I have loooked for so many hyperzoom tutorials and... this is the best by far. Great job my friend. Could I also ask you something? What about if wanted to zoom out instead or in? I tried but it seems imposible following this technique but backwards.
    Keep it up!

      You can use the same process to zoom out

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cameratest I have tried, but as in the zoom in you actually zoom in from a black windows to a filled frame. It you tried to zoom out you would be left with that black window around the frame.

      @ At 4:21 in my video I have an image that fills the screen which then transitions to an image that is small with lots of black around it. If you are zooming out, you should have an image that fills the screen and then transition to a blurry image in which only a small portion of the photo is filling the screen. At 5:37 when I zoom in, you should be zooming out instead.

    Thank you very much for doing video gave me great help! It's better if add subtitles to video so people who don't understand English also can understand

    • @cameratest

      I figured out how to add subtitles - I hope that helps!

    Thank you so much for your tutorial, on the other hand, is there anyway I could go from a zoomed environment to a larger unzoomed shot the same way you did?

    • @cameratest
      @cameratest  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's basically the same process except you use the null object to zoom out instead of zoom in.

  • @gytn25
    @gytn25 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    what happens when you don't parent it to a null object?

    • @cameratest
      @cameratest  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The base layer already has position and scale keyframes from when I applied the image stabilization. I created a null object so I can add independent position and scale keyframes that won't affect the stabilization.

      ah okay. So your footage still was shaky even with a tripod?

    Be better if you could speak more clearly. Apart from that your tutorial held my interest for about a minute....
