All of them! Could just lower the recoil or the first shot kick. Maybe make them enough dmg to 2 tap hs light helmet for all of them. (Add 5-10 damage to all of them).Or have the same damage range as bolt action snipers or raise multiplier for HS. So many ways to help them out :)
DMRs should be longer range versions of their AR siblings. Higher velocity due to barrel length, more accurate and less recoil due to heavier barrel profile, and maybe less damage falloff due to using a bullet with optimized shape/BC. In exchange for those advantages , it should have a slower ADS, running, and swapping speeds due to increased weight. Instead, they chose to drastically reduce the rate of fire and increase the recoil in exchange for damage, which creates a niche where it is worse than ARs and SMGs at short and medium distances and worse than sniper rifles at long distances, so there is this tiny sliver of a niche between medium and long where it's just okay.

The Vertical recoil kicks way too hard to reset your aim. By then, the enemy runs away or you get beamed across the map. I'm surprised their velocity isn't that fast compared to your average AR. I agree with every point. SCAR-H is the best DMR ironically.
Na, they (first two) just need to be 2 Tab, less recoil, higher velosity, more amo and some ither buffs, like creating bleading wuth every shot to slow players down.
I tried the bipod, its increased recoil while standing wasn't a problem but I hated that it slows down your aim down sights time to a crawl. Ended up going back to a foregrip that reduces vertical recoil.
Totally agree and I think they should remove the standing recoil and aiming downsides and just make it slow your walking speed for the extra weight and nothing else
Literally no reason to run these weapons. They get dogged on by snipers at long range and dogged on by assault rifles AND smgs at short to mid range. With how bad DMRs are and how stupid sniper scope glint is combined with how good SMGs are you can deff tell the devs have a bias.
Idk if it’s a bias against them but you can tell they weren’t implemented right which is sad because if games have good dmrs they are one of my go to picks

This weapon category is a perfect example of how guns in this game can be borderline unusable until you unlock all the modifications you need and by then youre lioe 300+ kills in and youre loooking for a change of pace.

Almost all your DMRs synergize well with the Glock. Just wish there were more automatic pistols, almost all my primary preferences steer me toward it as the best option. Plus the 1.1 run speed on support is big, makes LMG run speed reduction hurt much less
its funny cause in real life the scar h (mk17), and all the DMRs aside from the SVD, all use .308 WIN. the SVD uses 7.62x54R which is the russian equivalent to the american 30-06. so truthfully there really shouldnt be as harsh of a drop in damage for the Scar-H.
I've been maining M14 for a while now. 1000+ kills, longest is 800M and shortest is the occasional me vs. meta Vector slut inside a closet that I sometimes win. Vert grip and tactical with an ACOG and reddot on top. I use the dot probably 80% of the time as Its possible to full auto people out to mid range, and then switch to the 4x and snipe. My fav thing to do is hunt enemy snipers as an Engi with it. You can defend your self if your aim is good (kills quick but missing some of those 14 shots is bad news) and then use it to get flanks on snipers and ruin their fun. Also works pretty well on bigger urban maps like Sandy for popping people in windows and finding silly angles to shoot from. TL:DR A sniper rifle that can defend its self
I know the DMRs feel like they’re outplayed by ARrs and snipers, but I think they’re really good for stealthy flanking. A suppressed EBR with an Echo sight can allow you to pick enemies off from a flank, at such a distance that they never really know where you are and can’t challenge you. I went from rank 85 - 96 in one day just picking people off from the fog on District. An AR couldn’t lay down the damage needed to subtly kill people without retaliation, and a sniper would’ve drawn too much attention with the one shot kills. It’s a very small niche, and not relevant on all maps, but a really fun one.
I understand these are usually firing a 7.62 NATO or similar round, but I never really understand how making a gun heavier increases recoil. In real life, when you make your gun heavier, it will reduce felt recoil. Whether it be via components like heavier receivers, barrels and rails, or even attachments like optics, grips, and even large magazines, all of these will contribute to reducing recoil by increasing the gun’s inertial resistance to movement. If anything, they should swap how heavier components like a heavy barrel or extended magazines affect control and recoil, because a heavy gun is gonna be harder to move with, aim, and maneuver, but will decrease felt recoil.
im gonna purchase this game soon and im really hyped to try all of the different weapons out. The attachement system seem really cool too. The dmrs look like fun weapons to use

I think the recoil with medium scopes should be looked into, but only for DMRs. That's pretty much it. Could see them being on par with the SCAR if they had less recoil while using those scopes. Even if it required crouch/prone to activate the recoil control. But as it is, I personally see no reason to use them, I just use the SCAR which has plenty of range for me, as well as doing everything else better.
If you are good at hitting headshots the m110 with the long barrel damage increase absolutely slaps your average recon, medic or lighter armor classes in the game. It’s actually nutty if you have good aim. Also I put a canted holo sight and get some meaty two taps at close range as well when I get pushed. Sniper definitely better for longer ranges but that mid to mid-long ish range is pretty juicy for the M110
You could just use a different weapon, though. All weapons perform really well with good aim. The DMRs just can't compete. I love DMRs in most games but they are just trash in Battlebit compared to other options.
I love the EBR for playing deep behind the lines recon. I can find a sneaky spot and shoot into their lines, pick off people / counter snipe, and run a canted red dot and actually have a fighting chance with it on full auto in CQB. I run the slightly bigger rig and backpack with C4 so I get 6 charges to destroy enemy vehicles. such a satisfying playstyle for me.
Yeah that seems like the effective way to run it, don’t run it cqc to mid range, make sure your at least 100m away from people to be able to win fights

Statistically the stabil grip is inferior to the vertical grip for vertical recoil control. Its first shot kick reduction isn't enough to overcome the vertical grip's massive vertical recoil reduction.
Dmrs in almost every game seem to be impossible to balance. Either they make them to good to the point that sniper rifles are useless, or they dont and the dmr itself becomes useless and outclassed by everything. The only game i think that got it perfect was insurgency sandstorm simply because dmrs were better than bolt actions, but it cost alot more to use so your giving up other equiptment.
I disagree, it hatd nut not impossible. Reality is that dmrs are just better than snipers for most cases. What makes them fun is that they dont rely on laser recoil and have some range.
CSGO has it in a good way. Also uses money to balance, but I dont even think it needs it to be like that. The one shot capacity is so important in CSGO that no pros run the DMR
I love the MK20, run it with a medium range optic with red dot on top. Either run bipod or vertical grip depending on style and its a powerhouse. Super good gun, just gotta get gud.

go engineer then sneak to the road that leads out of the enemy's base and lay down mines in the road for some free jeep kills. You can also use the tandem rpg and follow up to 1 hit LAVs after they hit the mines. But yeah I got tired of just grinding medic for points and competing with other medics. The only way to efficiently play the game is the be a medic til you unlock the vector then just use the vector it's pretty boring lol
I use the "heavy" assault riffles as dmr hahaha less recoil same amout of hit per kill bigger clip and usable on a medic. AK15, Aug and so on. I Disagree with the EBR being the most versatile. It is kinda terrible at almost everything. AK15 is much more versitle IMO. You should try the Aug as a DMR. Not as good close range but with the low recoil you can full auto a decent range or tap decently fast to kill. Easy to counter snipe with. (Used with ACOG) (not a fan of the Aug but enjoyed it as a dmr)
As an SVD main, I do feel like it's the best of the DMRs as it kinda of does the M14's job but better. It's RoF lets you tap fire just about as fast as the m14 can full auto, so it does alright in surprise cqc while having the benefit of being easier to mash-fire at midrange. The only buff I want to see for the DMRs is to either make some kind of exception against armor or to nerf armor in general. The fact that you can hit two headshots back to back and not kill heavily armored people is wild. If DMRs ignored armor in some fashion, it would give them a serviceable niche where they're not outclassing ARs and SMGs in close range. I think the issue is with how badly armor itself is balanced in this game. Funny enough, I much prefer the deagle over the glock when running a DMR, because heavy armor makes the thing a peashooter, especially when you don't have the extended mag yet- meanwhile the deagle will one-tap anyone who's so much as been sneezed on, let alone headshot. There are some situations where I would actually be better off aiming for the arms/legs instead of the head or chest, and I find that absolutely absurd.

I can’t play it because my monitor sucks at 60fps and if I play with unlocked fps the recoil exponentially increases with my framerate

Realistically the scar is a more viable dmr than the dmr.

Something I did mention is that the scar does 15 damage after a couple hundred meters, so after that point dmrs will just destroy the scar

I meant versatile at ALL ranges, because at 300 meters the ak15 hits for about 13 damage whereas the ebr is still hitting for like 38

I really dislike how the semi auto fire rate is capped. It takes away so much from a fun class that struggles alot.
Yeah the fire rate should definitely have some kind of cap so people don’t auto click the dmrs but it should be higher firerate than like 350 lol
