I always remember Len complementing their stationary samba walk in this. Love this dance.
in my opinion best dance of the night. Claudia and AJ are definitely up there in my favourite couples along with Ore and Louise.
Given the routine and the sheer speed of it, and in general what she was asked to do, I thought Claudia did a great job.
Brilliant dance as always from this couple. Ive seen a lot of negative comments on facebook about it, and i disagree with claudia having trouble to keep up because of the speed. I think it was purely because of her petite height and it wasnt a fault of hers nor AJs
Claudia was sick at the beginning of the week and only learnt that routine in 2 and a half days. wow!!!!

I think the height difference gives them a little bit of a struggle, but only because AJ seems to be pushing her up to a speed her legs can't handle, she has to move twice as fast as him to keep up, he needs to showcase her more. Hopefully they come back next week though :)
Kim Seymour Well, AJ is the shortest among the male pros, and Claudia is the shortest among the female celebs. So, that's why they were paired up. But still, their height difference is high.

Yes the music was fast but compared to others I think she did a great job, I was getting a bit bored during half way of the show but the last performances really put back the excitement. For me Claudia and Danny were the best of the night! It's only week 5 I'm sure she'll do other great performances as I see so much potential in her. Keep doing a good job Claudia and AJ!
Good news for all AJ fans, he will be back for Strictly 2017
What a shame their big move at the end was spoilt by the unnecessary sudden camera switch for precisely 1 second (at 1:33) right at the crucial moment.

It had all the elements of a Samba in it, but I'm not sure if it's because I'm just thinking of Matt Baker's Samba, it just felt too fast. So a lot of the movements felt very clipped. I would give them an 8, but I have to admit I saw their scores first by accident since I mistakenly thought Danny was closing the show :x
This is one occasion where I'm like 'why didn't the pros be more forceful' because they can actually ask them to slow it down.

The opening was great. But AJ felt like he was still competing with the speed he put Claudia through. Although I do believe if they had an extra week to practice this it would've been worthy of 9's. 7 at most.

I want to skin Jason Gilkison alive! Yeah, he's making me MAD. If BBC wants to pick a chief choreographer to mess around with the pros then at least get someone who's actually qualified in Ballroom/Latin! The tempo is too quite for a novice, and it's frustrating because I can see if the speed is slowed down, Claudia would have been better able to finish her Samba bounce (it's there but it's rushed). Great attempts at the rolls too. Argh, so frustrating! An 8 (could have been higher if music is a little slower for Claudia to better show off her goods).
So AJ took the heat but Jason is the one doing the choreo??
Diane Banks Of course AJ is to be blamed for packing so much content but Claudia clearly can do most of them it's just the tempo is too quick. Bloody Jason picked the music and tempo. Probably influences the young and relatively inexperienced AJ. After all this Jason is supposed to be a big shot choreographing the Burn the Bloody Floor tour routines... Do you think the rumba song choice of whether the pick the Elvis Presley or the Michael Buble version was given to Louise and Kevin? In series 4 or 5 I would have agreed the pros picked the songs, even have control over the tempo and whether they want props (they usually don't have props unless it's themed week which wasn't popular then)...
Dude, you need to chill the F out, and also do your research Jason Gilkison is qualified in ballroom and latin ya fool. People are allowed to make mistakes on this one, besides, it's been shown in documentaries since then that the pros do talk to the music team about the song choices, so really, AJ should have been more forceful and told them to slow it down. You can't blame Jason Gilkison for everything that goes wrong on this show.

I wish this show would stop discofying the samba. The music was too fast, and the band/producers should have slowed it down. AJ I thought outdanced Claudia and she just looked like she was just trying to keep up. It's such a shame as the samba content was great, but perhaps too much when taking into how fast the music was. I love this partnership however. Claudia is so cute.
Matt Baker danced a Samba to this song too, but the tempo was slower. Matt Baker did an excellent Samba to this song, so it's possible but the Speedy-Gonzales tempo is WRONG WRONG WRONG...
I just went back to look at the Matt Baker Samba and it's so, so much slower. This is way too fast. Especially for someone her size.
Scd Observer Yes quite, I decided to go back and rewatch and they reduced the track to 100bpm for Matt. Claudia's seems to be 120bpm. She was onto a loss right off the bat...
I did exactly the same! Matt's was brought down to 100bpm.
topcatrox I went back to his clip and I said there to Anne C I want to purchase a voodoo doll and put the chief choreographer's hair or nail clippings on it and poke his bum 100x every time I see a bad song choice, too much props (costume department Vikki confirmed Jason was the one deciding on the song and props and theme of each couple's dance!), wrong tempo etc. etc. etc..

Okay :) it's good, either way. I think Lesley & Anton are out this week..
it looks difficult 'cos she just can't cover the ground he can. Overall I think he did a good job of dealing with that but it does make things difficult for her. Just too fast though - even the tiniest bit slower would help. It doesn't need to be this fast for a samba!
He's so graceful, elegant and professional while the partner is so funny the way she tries to keep up with him, they don't match at all.
His dances are always really long ;)
Who decided to give them the same music to the same dance Matt Baker and Aliona had? The comparisons are not flattering. This is one of the worst-choreographed routines in Strictly history. Why do they have to dance around a huge-ass disco ball? Is this Can't Stop the Music? Poor Claudia looks confused over and over again in this, and who can blame her? AJ did such a good charleston for her and this is just crap.

I feel like this choreography was far too advanced for her, and this dance was just way too fast. She was literally running in several places instead of dancing... and the fact that she was trying so hard to keep up caused her to lose a lot of the Samba bounce. A shame because I think she could have been excellent at Samba if they didn't get such a crap song.

SHE IS A GOOD DANCER, BUT I JUST DON’T LIKE THIS PARTNERSHIP! I THINK HER AND KEVIN WOULD BE FIRE!!! He is just too much for her in my opinion.
Nobody is the right height for her, we just have to make do XD
