If you want to prove that someone is insane or stupid or horrible, you criticize them because we, as human beings, cant share the same ideas/opinions and we interpret words (especially the ones that have to do with intent related to actions or that are in the domain of sociology) differently (like the one written in laws)... This is a law that should stay in the cultural domain NOT THE POLITICAL DOMAIN. There's nothing offensive about the pug video. You can argue about the quality of the joke, which I personally kinda like. But even bad jokes are not a crime. There was no malice, no harm caused, it was a joke.

In general, I am inclined to think "complacency" in all of us allows accountability to slip until it slips far enough into becoming an overt problem, at which point, Joe Average wakes up to the issue/s, starts grappling with the logic then starts pushing back or voting accordingly.
Pretty sure we are now in the early stages of a big self correcting shift and most of the left has no idea that they have lost control... they still have the power to make things difficult (and they will) but Joe Average is not happy with their shit and isn't about to change his mind :)
I'm guessing that bodies like the BBC and portions of education are going to be answering some difficult questions at some point and "accountability" will be restored to a more "reasonable" level.

Glad to see there is at least one person in the media who still hasn't sold their soul and integrity. I feel really bad for Marcus (Count Dankula), the guy has been dragged through the mud at every turn for no good reason. I agree that the western world is sleepwalking into something horrifying. Many of us can see it, but the tide just seems to be rising so quickly. I know the word "Orwellian" is bandied about a lot these days, but you can't deny that we are seeing some of the fears he highlighted in his book beginning to manifest. Its people like Dankula who help to highlight these problems at the detriment of themselves. I hope that things don't escalate, or we could find ourselves in a terrifying new reality faster than we can imagine.
