Like during Corey Booker's talking, Grassley exhibited schizophrenic behavior by being silent to allow Corey to speak (though never looking at him; couldn't show any outward recognition of him) while simultaneously and continuously slowly banging his gavel, on and on, while Booker continued speaking. Not really shutting Booker down, but not really letting him speak, either. Or maybe intentionally letting him speak but obscuring what was being said by creating distracting noise. I've never seen anything like it. The level of Republican corruption is treasonous in my book. When they intentionally prevent congressmen/women to perform their advice and consent role that is CALLED FOR in the Constitution, then they are violating their oath to uphold the Constitution - blatantly, for all to see. They are Constitutional scofflaws. At this level this is treason. They are not governing based on MY country's governing rules and procedures. They should be arrested and forfeit their seats in office.

Let us do some basic math:
42,000 pages over 15 hours is 2,800 pages an hour
2,800 pages an hour is 46 and 2/3rds every minute
46 and 2/3 pages is just a little over 3/4 of a page every second
So the majority can read roughly 1 page every second, and constantly holding this rate for the entire 15 hours... then also appear bathed, dressed and well rested for someone claiming this marvelous feat of mental endurance.

42,000 pages -- not just read but analyzed, annotated, and indexed for reference during the hearings -- in 15 hours is 2,800 per hour. IF you have a KNOWLEDGEABLE staff of 100 (EXTREMELY unlikely) that's still just over 2 minutes per page. Grassley is full of it.

What does that have to do with the Democrats requesting documents and not being happy with the 450,000+ pages they received and asking for more as a stall tactic? Some of us are also old enough to remember Nancy P saying "We have to pass the bill in order to know what's in it." And some of us are informed enough to know that the Democrats had been playing around with the bill behind closed doors and gave the Republicans a very limited amount of time to read the final draft with all the Democrats' amendments in it.
And it's been reported that the Republicans had about 15 lawyers reviewing the released documents this past weekend while the Democrats had... none. This is a show for their base and that's it. They know they can't do any more to block Kavanaugh than they could do with Gorsuch. Move out.

So in order just to read the documents, let alone do any analysis of what they were reading, they would need a staff of 46 to read non-stop for 15 hours at the rate of one document per minute; or a staff of 460 to read non-stop for 15 hours to allow 10 minutes per document. And even that is stretching it.
No, that idiot Chuck Grassley CLAIMED ON VIDEO that the Republicans had, overnight, not only read all 42,000 documents but had time enough to write reports on them all AND the Republican Senate Judiciary Committee members had time AFTER all those to read those reports.
