  • A solo trip on a beautiful early fall day in the Smoky Mountains. This was a day full of beautiful scenery, wild trout, and even elk.

    Nice video. Love the Smokies. I plan to do back country camping/fishing trip this coming spring.

      Thank you! I hope you are able to make your trip happen this spring-backcountry trips in the Smokies are the best. Tight lines!

    Man sometimes we fish and it’s just slow and not catching alot. But it’s always an amazing day out on the river whether your catching or not

    Beautiful.
    Thought I was the only one who fishes that creek. Slow going and somewhat technical. Love to break out the 1wt fiberglass for this one. Thanks for the wonderful content.

      Haha a 1wt would be a blast! I’ll definitely give that stream another try one day. Thanks for taking time to watch and for subscribing!

      Maybe I didn’t catch the name of the river you were fishing but I would like to know. 😊

    Well you didn’t get skunked and had a great day in the Smokies . Haven’t fish up that high may have to try it. Looks
    Like it opens up when you get down to the stream.

      This is true! I feel like just not getting skunked when the water was so low and clear was a success. Can’t beat a pretty day in the Smokies! Thanks for watching!

    Unbelievable footage, did you go to school to learn how to edit like that?

      Thanks for the kind words. I did not-I just really like making videos and have tried to learn along the way. Hopefully I learn something new each time and try to make each video just a little better than the last. Thanks so much for watching!

    How do you like those Redington boots. I grabbed a pair when I stopped in the Fly Shop in Bryson this summer

      I actually like them a lot. I had another pair previously that lasted several years. I liked them enough that I just bought another pair recently. Have you liked yours so far?

    what kind of fly rod you use there?

    • @ColbertOutdoors
      @ColbertOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In this video I had an Echo carbon xl in a 9ft 5wt. I love the rod overall and for most rivers it’s great, but it is definitely overkill for these small streams-it’s just all I had that day. Usually something like a 2wt or 3wt in a shorter length would have been better, but just shows you can make it work with what you have! Thanks for asking
